My stay was absolutely fantastic! Everything exceeded my expectations, from the accommodations to the service. I had a truly wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Very nice place and they have systems in place for loadshedding. They think of everything you will need. Unfortunately, the bedside lamps' plugs did not work and there was not an electric blanket on the bed as advertised. But none the less, it is a very nice place to spend the night. Definitely value for money.

The owner was not aware of my reservation so there were problems with the room key. The previous guest's belongings were still in the room, it was not thoroughly clean (shower does not drain). I struggled to get hold of the owner for the WiFi password, fan worked but the aircon didn't.

Very good value for money, unfortunately the locks for the rooms do not work properly. Felt safe in the area, but at least you have to be able to lock your values away from strangers. There was a lady who came to clean every day, but she walked in without knocking every time! There was no option to say whether you required her or not.
The room we got was not the one we booked, the room we got is not even available as an option. Also, the room we got was not at all up to the standard of the one we had booked, you enter through the bathroom with steps. It should be mentioned that the facilities were very clean and that we have no complaints about the hygienic standard.

Very nice and well equipped accommodation. Everything at the guest house speaks of cleanliness and extra attention to detail. The only thing I found strange is that a place of such high standards does not have shower soap or shampoo in the bathroom as well as toilet spray. Maybe something they can pay attention to, because with my trips around the country for leisure and work, I don't usually take soap and shampoo with me.

My wife and I did a road trip to Cape Town from Durban and on our return trip we stopped at Karoo Fountain Guesthouse in De Aar. The only downside was that you have to travel about 60 km from the N1 but the roads are lovely. The accommodation was stunning and value for money. Nice clean and comfortable accommodation with large shower and massive air conditioner with big screen television. We really enjoyed our stay in De Aar.
Rooms not sound proof or smoke proof. Neighbors barbeque in room late at night. Smoke penetrates easily to us. Chest almost closed from smoke. Neighbor received guests until the morning hours which was very disturbing. The rest of the stay was pleasant.

The location is a bit out of the way to Britstown which we didn't expect but we were surprised by the type of accommodation. Pleasantly tidy and slept very well. The pillows were a bit hard but otherwise we rested well.

Because I lived in De Aar in the 80s, it will always be special to visit there. I am very impressed with the location of the guest house. Nice and quiet with relatively little traffic. The room painfully neat and the control and management of the guest house equally good and accessible.

From the moment the gate opened it was an amazing experience.
We found this venue exceptional and had an awesome garden, well kept. What was noticeable was that each room had under cover parking for your vehicle. The room was very neat and tidy and well kept. There was even a private braai facility for the room that we occupied. The only shortfall was that the toilet was sort of private but when someone enters the sliding door from outside, this person looks onto the toilet and if someone is using it, this is where there is no privacy of the person using it. This venue is highly recommended.

He even arranged for braai facilities after we indicated that we would rather braai than venture into De Aar's nightlife. With the braai he also made facilities available such as braai bowls and tongs. We will use his hospitality again.

The place has a good location and it's clean and neat. Host friendly and helpful. I don't really like an open-plan bathroom. Good quality linen. A flat sheet would be appreciated, especially in summer when it's too hot for a duvet.

Although we didn't arrive at Karoo Fountain Luxury Guesthouse until 02:00 am, we were still welcomed with open arms. Was also pleasantly surprised to find the heater in the room (early August, cold!) DStv, large bedroom and bathroom.

We only stayed the night on our way to the West Coast and this accommodation was perfect. We were able to leave early the next morning again, without any problems waking anyone up for keys or opening gates. It was safe and tidy, close to the main road, staff were very helpful with information about the town.
