What a wonderful discovery for us. We have never really been able to find something in Calitzdorp, but now Karoo Mountain River House is definitely on our list. Tick all the boxes. Fernandez is more like your personal house manager with a smile who just wants to do something for you. The house is fully equipped and no loadshedding problems. Looking forward to a next visit.

Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the property that is only accessible with a high-clearance vehicle.The splash/rock pool gets filled with river water and is always full during Summer. This pool can also be filled during the rest of the year on request.
