199 guests' feedbackWe stayed at Karoo Nights as an overnighter on the way back to PTA from Cape Town. It was great for that. We are a family of four and stayed in 1 room. This was fine as we arrived late afternoon. The meal was excellent and the service was fantastic.
It was delicious and the dinner was out of the books.
Great, we were late and the hostess patiently waited for us. Stars and silence were food for the soul after almost on the road. Many thanks for a hospitable halfway station on our way back home.
Everything was as advertised. Good luck after the long road.
This was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed it a lot and rested well. Just note that it is a bit out of Gariep, but it was no crisis. A delicious dinner of lamb chops/leg of mutton/butter chicken was available at a reasonable price. Will definitely stay here again on our next overnight trip.
Little bit of dirt road, but it's in a reasonable condition and easy access in a normal sedan or hatch.
We really enjoyed our stay and would go back. The room my mom was in was very difficult to open, and as she is elderly, it was a slight problem. We would also have liked hand wash in our room. Besides that, it was great.
We had a nice stay. Everything we needed was there. And very quiet. Thank you.
It was lovely, very clean, and the hostess was lovely.
We loved our stay at Karoo Nights. It's a farm and a farmhouse, exactly as the photos indicated. We had everything we needed, and we loved it.
Spacious for family and was good for an overnight stay. The downside is that there is no signal, no WiFi or TV. I had to find other ways to entertain the kids. I paid a similar amount for a night's stay at another place, and we got a lot more.
Possibly the worst booking destination made to date. Very remote location, but the hospitality on arrival was friendly. The rooms are outdated, with decor stuck somewhere in the 1950s or even further back. Clean but not sanitary, the room smelled of damp carpet, which aggravated my sinuses. Supper was good, and the food was delicious. A cockroach came out and onto the bed after I turned off the lights. Soundproofing between rooms is terrible; the guest next door snoring was very audible. I could not wait for daylight to leave. Not the best follow-up booking after staying at Nine on 9 Winkle for the week. The photos on the booking site are vague and do not show full detail.
I had my dog with me and what a joy. They made me and my dog feel so at home. She was allowed to run around freely and, with the other guests having their dogs with her, it was amazing to see how happy the dogs were especially after being stuck in the car all day. . They have a bar where you can relax before dinner. The food was amazing - the lamb melted in my mouth. . Slightly off the N1 but definitely worth the detour. Will definitely recommend them to any- and everyone and definitely stay over there again.
My fiancée and I stayed over for a night on our way back to the George. The staff was helpful and friendly. We found out that the family had been there for generations and that the large guesthouse was used to house the workers that had built Gariepdam long ago. We took a long walk to shake off the road and we were fortunate enough to see the spectacular sunset and then we took a swim in the small swimming dam (pool) under the stars. The buffet was absolutely delicious. Had not had lamb that good before. The rooms were near and clean. The parking was in a store room (felt quite safe and convenient) and It kept the car cool.
Conservative, very tidy, clean and spacious for a family of 5 and good value for money. Will stay there again. Very friendly welcome.
We were kindly received and immediately shown to our room. Our room was nice and tidy, very clean and had all the amenities we would need. Definitely value for money.
Great value for money, a lovely place to stay for a night while traveling.
See stars.
Very friendly welcome. Best mutton chops. Quiet farm setting. Will stay there again for sure.
Delicious. The children could play snooker and have a great time swimming.
Thank you very much, clean neat and typical place.
Clean and neat, good value for money. Loved the farm life feel. We traveled from Knysna to Pretoria, so it was a well-positioned stopover point. The only negative was poor cellphone reception while in the cottage.
Was very comfortable for an overnight stay. A bit expensive at the bar, otherwise very nice place.
Accommodation, just right for an overnight stay. Dinner, tasty. No network signal. WiFi would be an advantage.
Lovely farm atmosphere, nice and clean room. Stayed and slept very well.
What a pleasant surprise, we had such a nice rest on the farm, it was so beautiful and relaxing. Cooled off nicely in the swimming pool, linen was clean and fresh, good quality as well as the pillows. Was thankful for the roof fans. We didn't have dinner reservations and despite that they accommodated us with a delicious meal. Will definitely stop there again in the future.
Ria and staff are very pleasant and welcoming.
Had a great stay.
Very nice stay, friendly reception.
Good place to sleep. All the basics are available. Hostess very friendly and helpful.
Neat comfortable accommodation.
Off the beaten track but not many pet-friendly places available, but we did enjoy our stay and the hosts were very friendly.
We arrived late and received a friendly welcome in the rain.
Rooms were clean and tidy. Rest of the unused areas in the house need attention and cleaning. Better provision for loadshedding and mobile phone collection.
I was looking for a place close to Colesburg, this was not even close to Gariep dam. It was more than an hour from Colesburg. There was nothing around it to get food so I was left with no options except what was on offer. The food was good. There was no power and the generators had to be run. lights out was at about 9pm. When I got there I had to go looking for someone to check in. It is run by a Mom and her daughter, who I think are run off their feet. They are both sweet and were doing their best. The rooms were very clean and tidy.
The stay was extremely disappointing. The school dormitory feeling was not nice and the sounds from adjacent rooms were disturbing (especially from above). The facilities were very basic and not value for money at all. The single bed's bedding had a stain that didn't look good. Under the toilet bowl was a dirty ice cream bowl to catch dripping water.
The reception was not friendly, although we had tweeted in advance exactly what time we would be there. There is no mention of the dirt road that one must drive. There was no signal and our room had no WiFi reception. They only have power at certain times and the generator is turned off after a certain time, after which you just have to do without power. This is especially difficult if you want to get up early to pack. We were not informed about it in advance at all. The place is dilapidated, there are open rooms with mattresses lying around giving a bad impression. The room also did not look like the photo and definitely needs work.
The service was excellent and loved the place.
The food was absolutely great as well as the hosts. The Trust Bar was unbelievable. The view and evening stars, wow wow wow. Absolutely a must stay! I invited myself into the kitchen where our host was preparing supper. What a lovely lady. I call her the Queen Mother. Rooms great with ceiling fans as well as aircon. Great experience!
Despite loadshedding, we had the most delicious dinner. Rooms wonderfully spacious and the farm dam swimming pool was a great place to cool off. Definitely recommend Karoo Nights.
The room was spacious and clean. The place itself is absolutely stunning.
Comfortable and clean room. Delicious food.
We slept over for the night to make the long journey a little shorter. I was very happy. Excellent service. Nice place to sleep.
Wonderful experience - will definitely come back.
Katie most accommodating.
Katie immediately made us feel very welcome and at home, especially with the cup of delicious coffee from her kitchen and the very tasty grapes. All/any amenities were made available to us, i.e. fridge, freezer, kitchen, etc. Thank you so much, Katie. We will definitely visit again.
What a wonderful place. Fresh milk and freshly baked bread! What more can one ask for? Will visit again anytime. Thank you very much for the hospitality.
Would love to return to the accommodation again. The true Karoo hospitality has made its mark. Thank you very much.
I wish we could stay there longer. It was really very nice and beautiful. Our dogs also went along. Very friendly.
Will definitely stop here again for the night.
Beautiful old house full of history in the Karoo that put its best foot forward this year. Service was friendly and welcoming. Food delicious.
Cute place, wouldn't mind staying there again on our route to Mossel Bay.
What a lovely place to stay, so comfortable, lovely friendly owners and staff.
There is nothing more to say.
The location is perfect. We really like the farm's rich history and all the antique furniture in the guest house. The staff is very friendly and we would recommend it anytime. We had so much fun looking at the stars! We will definitely stay there again.
Had a great time staying there and the food was delicious.
See stars.
Clean, tidy, hospitable and very child-friendly. Katie is the perfect hostess. Thank you very much for all the kindness!
Friendly host, very well equipped kitchen and convenient location.
The location is lovely and the rooms are great. We really enjoyed stay with Ria and her mom.
Very quiet and peaceful farm atmosphere. Nice to detox from technology.
Very nice place. Could walk in the garden. Children swam. Had a nice dinner.
Karoo Nights is an acceptable stopover. However, everything was not in working order: television and shower head. WiFi would be a welcome addition seeing as there is no cell phone reception in most areas. Communication is important to us during a layover.
Was comfortable, clean and effective.
Accommodation was comfortable - recommend ceiling fans.
A lovely place, as a traveller, to spend a relaxed and quiet night. The meals are great too.
The mutton cutlets and side dishes were tasty! The service was friendly and the room very clean.
Propose that the of owner install at least Openview in order to save costs on DStv.
Farm atmosphere, beautiful surroundings! Friendly reception, comfortable and clean, although small things were not in place, but were soon corrected! Was fully booked, maybe it was unusual/overwhelming for them. We got delicious mutton for dinner, with vegetables and ice cream afterwards (paid separately). For the price I feel breakfast could be included!
Nice farm atmosphere. Very hospitable reception. Everything we needed and more. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Was delicious, barbecue needs a little attention especially when it rains.
Katie was very hospitable and made us feel very comfortable. On our arrival we were greeted with loadshedding, but Katie provided us with lamps and a hot water bottle. Very peaceful environment and well located as an overnight stay. Enjoyed a very nice breakfast with our stay.
The hospitality and good food stood out for us. There is nothing they will not do for you to make your time there comfortable.
The place is amazing. Silent for peace of mind.
Somewhat strange that no cell phone contact or WiFi is possible.
It was our 2nd choice at Karoo Nights, some of the towels were dirty, They usually have dinner available, and received a text 1 day in advance to say that dinner will not be served due to holiday. It's a little out of the way, but it wasn't exactly worth the extra drive.
Very basic. I understand the theme of the place and they try to keep it that way, (very old fashioned). Many people will not enjoy it and instead look for the luxuries. My wife and I found it interesting and also walked around a bit. There are a lot of things they will have to work on, besides the food, It was very nice.
Value for money, nice place to visit.
Main house gardens are just stunning. I feel if guests have pre-ordered food for dinner, theirs should be put aside for them or informed that it's very much a first come first serve. There was not enough sides with the meat for our family.
Communication was not very good. Units are neat and clean. Staff who assisted us were very friendly and helpful. Braaipakke was very tasty.
This accommodation is acceptable as a stopover, but in the middle of nowhere, last 5 km on sand road. Absolutely no cellphone reception (voice or data). Food on offer seemed ok, but we did not eat there as we felt it was over priced at R150 per person for what you get and you had to pre-book. Nearest alternative restaurants/takeaway were 20 km away.
Would stay there again anytime.
We were well received and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The room and bathroom were neat and we had everything we needed for the night at our disposal.
Was very spacious and comfortable. Great overnight stop.
Really loved our stay. Friendly staff and very helpful. Views were incredible at the top of the mountain, a short walk from the house.
Lovely people, lovely atmosphere and stunning furniture.
We arrived at about 15h30 and left the following morning at 08h00. We were well received and had a relaxing afternoon. We ate at the dam so did not eat dinner, but had a hearty breakfast which was value for money. There were a number of other guests.
Upon our arrival, we were met by Ria. We were directed to our rooms where the nicest softest bed and pillows were waiting for us. We had the most delicious plate of food and had a good night's rest where we could hit the road again. I would definitely recommend Karoo nights. It's a bit out of the way but so worth it!
We were received very kindly. The owners go out of their way to help guests with what they need. I would definitely recommend Karoo Nights to anyone who needs to spend the night in the Gariep area.
Wonderful, friendly host. Katie Wagner is a caring, considerate. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The food excellent. The location was convient, peaceful and restful. If we had the time, we'd certainly have taken the opportunity to extend our stay. Will definitely recommend to our friends.
Brilliant food. Neat accommodation. Great and friendly hostess. Thanks Katie, we will stay there again. We were kindly received, the unit was well equipped and very tidy. Both meals were delicious, and the setting was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
Very nice. Friendly.
Food was delicious and it felt like we were at our own home! Had a great time.
We were kindly received. The service was great. The food was very nice. The room and beds were comfortable.
The house where we stayed was very nicely furnished and it was a pleasure to spend the night there. The food was excellent and made with a lot of effort and love. I would definitely recommend visiting Karoo Nights.
The food and people were equally delicious. Would recommend the place for sure.
Very nice stay, food was delicious, house clean, people very friendly. Will stay there again.
Apart from the storm that went through and the power being out, they were very hospitable and friendly. We got there late and left early again. Felt very safe. Apartment was clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious! Thank you very much, we will stay there again.
What a wonderful gem. A working farm with beautiful big trees, veg garden and clean lodging, add to that a home cooked meal.
Katie absolutely went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The bad WiFi reception at the garden cottage and the absence of any TV is just perfect for peace and quiet and a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Karoo Nights is a little way away from the N1 but it is an easy and safe road. Best breakfast that we've had in a long time! Thanks Katie, we will definitely stay at Karoo Nights again. You are a 5-star hostess.
We were on the farm briefly but would love to come back again. The cottage was cozy in the cold and very beautiful. We had a really nice overnight stay. Katie put in so much effort.
The farm is quiet and a good stopover. A little out the way if going to CT. We traveled to Venterstad onto Port Elizabeth.
This is a good spot out on the countryside to get away from the busyness of life. I'd stay there again in the future.
Very safe, enough security. Very basic accommodation. Breakfast was scant, but tasty. If you expect luxury, this is not the place for you.
Rooms and bathrooms need attention and renovation.
It was perfect secluded calm night away from the noise.
It is not well located, it is a bit out of the way and far from everything.
The location on the email did not lead us to the guest house. It was quite a frustration. Suggest it be updated.
We slept over on the way from the Eastern Cape back to Gauteng. The guest house dates from the days when the Orange/Fish River Tunnel was built and has been beautifully restored. The accommodation has spacious and comfortable rooms and also serves dinners as well as breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
If you want to arrive late to just stay the night, that's great. Unfortunately we arrived very early (and were well received) to explore the "farm life and surroundings", but the opportunity was not there. There is also no TV and weak WiFi in the rooms.
Although the problem was that contact was difficult with Karoo Nights, but after our stay I understand why, the signal is just sketchy.
Rest for the soul and breathtaking view.
Good farm experience for those who like farm life.
We were unfortunately moved from our original room to one by the front door - where the curtains were transparent and people on the porch could see through them. Comfortable honesty bar and pool table, as well as nice pond to swim in.
Cell reception is very bad.
Beslis net vir oornag, rotte in die dak het baie gepla - alles was darem baie skoon en netjies, dankie.
No hot water or electricity. Food was excellent. Not recommended at all for people with babies.
We were disappointed when we checked into Karoo Nights after a long day on the road. The photos shown on the website of the rooms, general area and site are particularly misleading. The feeling at Karoo Nights is reminiscent of a university residence and maintenance not kept up. In the room the TV was out of order, there was no ventilation, flies were an annoyance and the bed was freezing cold. There was no milk in the fridge either. My partner and I left the premises early the next morning out of pure discomfort. Dinner was nice and staff were very friendly but overall not good value for the rate.
Recommend the Karoo lamb dinner! A skilled team.
The children really enjoyed giving milk to the lambs! Swimming in the farm pond was nice and cooling and our dinner was delicious!
We stayed overnight at Karoo Nights on our way to our holiday in Plettenberg Bay (4 adults and 5 young children). Everything was beautiful and neat. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner on the premises. Everyone was very friendly. Our children were also asked if they wanted to help feed the lambs with milk. Will definitely remember the place for the future.
Thank you for your hospitality Katie. We felt very welcome. It will definitely be our number 1 choice if we stay overnight in the Gariepdam area again.
Was pleasant to stay there, perfect for a night's sleep after a long day on the road.
I would recommend this as a overnight stay.
We had a wonderful stay. My sister's little girl loved the animals, and the food was delicious! Friendly and fantastic service.
I just suggest some more and bigger pots for cooking for a large group as the cottage can sleep a lot of people and we also needed spare toilet rolls. I am sure we will be back.
I absolutely loved this place.
Apart from the fact that Karoo Nights is located so far away on a dirt road, it is truly a gem of a place out there in the plains. Upon our arrival on the Saturday afternoon, we were warmly welcomed, and were quickly helped to find our rooms.
Spacious large rooms in a peaceful environment.
Very friendly welcome. Only advice is that there should be better ventilation in the rooms. We got very hot.
Chalet 3 was lovely. Very tidy with everything you expect and a nice view. Workers' dogs barked just a bit too much and although the website states that pets are not allowed, all the other travelers brought dogs which were also a bit disturbing, but it was a lovely overnight stay and beautiful surroundings.
Surrounded by beauty.
If I could give advice - put the minimum in the kitchen - we didn't realize there wouldn't be cutlery available. We assumed if there was a kitchen, it had kitchen things in it!
See stars.
Very friendly people. Helpful. Food delicious.
See stars.
Tranquility interrupted by dogs that keep barking. Not the friendliest hostess in the world. Milk is certainly a very scarce commodity. Enjoy a very nice dinner.
The price is high for nothing and then there are cats and dogs everywhere.
What a wonderful place. Top-shelf meals.
See stars.
A well run establishment. We were contacted prior to our arrival in order to arrange for supper preferences etc, and given directions to the farm, in case you were not sure. A very friendly welcome on arrival to a clean and safe stop over. A delicious and freshly prepared leg of Karoo Lamb with vegetables was served, and a well-stocked bar had a cold bottle of wine waiting for us. Peace and quiet for the night's rest, a hot bath, and a hearty breakfast the next morning, before leaving. Can strongly recommend a visit to them.
Very friendly reception, food was outstanding. Nice peaceful Karoo atmosphere.
The meal was very nice and I felt at home as if I was staying with a friend on a farm.
We were pleasantly surprised by the warmth and hospitality offered by this establishment. Clean comfy beds. Home cooked delicious simple meal.
It was a surprising, nice overnight stop. We didn't have dinner there, but breakfast. Will do both there next time.
Hostess was lovely. Our cart's wheel burst and we were there much later than expected. Great reception and all staff friendly. Delicious meal after many hours on the road.
It was a great experience after a long day on the road, friendly faces, comfortable rooms and very good food. I would recommend it to anyone.
Experience the Karoo like on a farm.
Had a good time - friendly people. If you like communal gatherings before dinner in one large living room, then this is the way to meet new people and have a good chat.
Ver van N2, 13 km lange grondpad as jy GPS volg was sleg. Beter aanduidings of waarskuwing. Ete R120 per kop was aanvaarbaar maar 2 bolletjies roomys, ekstra kostes R35 per porsie, was vir my belaglik. 5 uur die oggend die stoep bo kamer begin rondskuif en skoonmaak was steurend.
...........................
Room booked was not given to us. Room was dark, smelly and had no proper ventilation. TV out of order (as well as the one in the living room and after specifically booking that room because the other room's details were seen saying it was out of order). One bedside lamp didn't even have a bulb in it, which of course didn't make it work either. For the price I expected much better and gave me the impression that this season was abused.
Definitely worth the bit of dirt road to Karoo Nights! The rooms are spacious, neat and comfortable with luxuries such as satellite television and air conditioning that make it even more comfortable. There is a sparkling reservoir beckoning to be swam in while enjoying the view over the Karoo. Definitely book dinner where you are warmly received and served with the most charming farm food and friendliness. A treasure just outside Gariep where one can breathe and relax!
Host goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Food served is excellent.
We were greeted with a smile, immediately felt comfortable and the atmosphere of the place and staff is excellent. The food is top notch, rooms spotless and we will definitely go there again.
Rooms are very warm, otherwise we had a very nice stay. Consider a story-telling night for the sleepovers that includes a twist of ghost stories.
The reception and service are friendly. The food was top notch. Unfortunately the bed was a little uncomfortable and the ceiling fan not enough to dissipate the heat. We just got up early and continued on the road.
See star rating.
My stay options were limited and I ended up in Karoo Nights. The rooms were clean and quiet but no air conditioning or TV, which didn't bother me. But the meals are not value for money. I got 4 small thin slices of lamb draped nicely over the whole plate, which I was able to top with one style cell and two portions of vegetables. Both the salad and dessert were "extra" on the bill. My dessert was a 3cm x 3cm piece of malva and a teaspoon of ice cream for R35! The food was nice but just a shame they assume we are on a diet. The dining room was very nice, other guests almost sit on your lap. Furthermore, the Guest House is some distance from the dam even though it looks close on Google.
Karoo Nights has friendly service. The facilities are basic but adequate for an overnight stay during a long journey. The meals were delicious and the management's personal attention to the guests was first class.
I loved the scenery. Fresh outdoors. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. It was quiet and serene. Customer service was excellent. Would have been helpful to know that it's gravel road leading into the farm. I would recommend a small shop to buy snacks etc. but overall it was a pleasant experience.
It is good place for family.
Lovely, peaceful, beautiful clean air. Everything you need for your overnight trip to the sea. Just sorry for our late night visitor on the roof. At least management was there quickly to solve the problem.
Personally, I think chalet 2 needs urgent upgrading. The roof fans look like they are going to rip out of the roof at any moment. The furniture may just need a little dusting.
Would not recommend it.
The room was like a sauna. No cold water except if you buy it from the bar. Bed very uncomfortable (old). Bathroom was neat. Ceiling fan made no difference to the heat. They also create the impression that it's located "right outside" of Colesberg.
We got there about 12:15 and reception was closed, their ad says it's open 24 hours. We had to wait outside until they opened at 15:05. After we checked in, the lady showed us the room which she said was the smallest. This is not what we paid for. There was no aircon, just a fan and very little natural light which made the room very dark. My wife asked if she could get some fresh milk because she is not allowed to drink powdered milk and the lady said she would arrange it, but we are still waiting. The dirt road that was not mentioned is in bad shape especially if you have a trailer. Will not stay there again.
When we booked we thought that the place was next to the dam and we could sit quietly and enjoy the view, but we were disillusioned when we saw that the place was a long way from the Gariep Dam. We assumed the place was next to and near the dam. The food was very nice, but why do we have to pay separately for the dessert? Usually the price of a meal also includes the dessert. When I wanted to drink coffee in the room there was no milk at all and I had to go to the kitchen to get milk. I would not recommend Karoo Nights.
We were looking for convenient and safe accommodation on our way back from a beach holiday. Karoo Nights was perfect!
Very friendly staff. The site is located a little further from the dam. Can be used for a 2 day stop and relax. The additional dinner can be recommended. We drove too early to make use of the breakfast.
It was wonderful, Oom Hentie got up especially for us at half past two in the morning. Kossies was off the books.
Beautiful rooms, safe parking, very friendly staff and very good food. It feels like you are at your own home. We as a family slept over 1 night but our 19 year old son chose to spend the night there between Port Alfred and Johannesburg.
Excellent stop-over venue with great hospitality.
The accommodation was very basic, but clean and neat. Hennie and his wife were great hosts and the meals were delicious. We had a great stay and will definitely go back.
The food was delicious, thank you Hentie. The welcome, help and ensuring everything was fine, was fantastic, thanks Helene. The rooms are spacious and very neat and wants for nothing. The staff are friendly and helpful. A small negative point is that the old beds are soft and done, but Helene quickly made a plan and helped us.
After a long road trip we stopped over at Karoo Nights. The staff were very helpful and the accommodation was clean. The cottage was spacious and I would like to have stayed longer. Food was awesome and the personal service was great.
We had a lovely time, right from the get-go until we left. We felt at home and our host and hostess did a great job. Helpful staff. Thanks for the delicious breakfast!
We really enjoyed the remote place in the vicinity of Gariepdam. Much bigger than I expected and had a nice stay. The absolute highlight was the indescribable pumpkin pie with dinner. I would stay there again just for time. (Recipe please?)
I had a great stay with wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended.
I was warmly received, the room was very neat and spacious with a lovely bath. When my car gave me trouble, Hentie was very helpful and helped me. The dinner was amazing - country food!
Our accommodation was clean and tidy but the facilities were old fashioned and lacked a few small things such as no hand soap, no dish soap, no braai and some light bulbs were broken.
The bed was very uncomfortable and the place needs a make-over. The only way to get there is via a very bad dirt road. The dinner was very nice.
Booking time is 15h00 and is strictly adhered to. No one to greet you should you arrive early. Unit No. 3 is stand alone and nicely private. Exposed sewer pipe directly in front of entrance steps. Sitting room floor unstable and like walking on a water bed. Bedroom ceiling fans inefficient. Old dirty sponge scourer supplied for cleaning dishes. Unit not serviced. Light shade in kitchen has not been cleaned in years. Braai grid not cleaned of previous tenant's marinade. Braai not cleaned after first nights braai. Requested that braai light be repaired, this was never done. Otherwise peaceful and comfortable stay, but will not return.
What a special place. Dinner and breakfast were both fantastic. Wonderful people running the venue.
Can recommend Karoo Nights for both overnight stays and holidays in the Gariep area.
We had a great time and Hentie and Helena really put a lot of effort into the food like in the best restaurants!
Friendly reception. Just a bit too far from the highway. Value for money.
Warm reception - felt as if you are arriving at your own home. And then we got a flat tyre! But Hentie and Helena quickly jumped in and our car was roadworthy again in no time. Thanks Hentie for the nice meals and Helena for your helpfulness. You guys are a mean team!
The previous manager was just a little bit more professional.
Convenient sleeping facilities and delicious food.
Karoo Nights is a very nice and quiet place, it gives you a peace of mind because it is in a remote and quiet area. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming.
Even though we only arrived at Karoo Nights at midnight, we were still welcomed with a smile and a delicious cup of coffee. We were able to find the guest house easily thanks to the good directions.
See stars.
