Nice Karoo house. Wood floors, high ceiling. Nice stoep and braai hangout area. Nice garden, WiFi and TV. Friendly reception, get information you need.
This was not our first visit to Karoowerf and our previous stays were always very good. The service was also very good and effort was made. The room was good, but the kitchen was tiny, even the fridge door had trouble closing due to space. The biggest problem though was the shower. Despite directions, both nights' showers were either freezing cold or dangerously hot. The double bed and the single bed also make a lot of noise with the slightest movement. The bedding was lovely.
Good place to stay if you are traveling.
Yes, everything was fine. Didn't get there until 7pm and it was no problem for the host. Had to drive again next morning at 6am, so it was a quick sleepover.
Unit 6. Nice and comfortable bed. TV outdated and no reception. (decoder) does not work. Gate should have been locked in evening - not done at all, so security not exactly up to standard. Kitchen sink against door of unit - cramped. Bathroom could be cleaned with more thoroughness, especially in corners and ridges of shower and bunch of ants on floor.
Room 1 needs a lot of upgrades. Electrical wires hang from the roof to which the light is connected. The shower just works. The power plugs don't work. The floor lamp does not work. There are outdoor stumps on the yard. The water bottle is dirty and the water is old.
It was good and tasty.
There were battery lights for the time it was load shedding. It would be nice if wifi was also available during load shedding.
Unfortunately we were only there for one night. Slept peacefully in a nice and clean bed. Everything was there that we needed. Friendly and caring host.
A rotten garden bench, dirty barbecue facilities without barbecue tools, a hand sink that spills, cramped space in the kitchen right behind the outside door. A broken bulb and blinds without strings. Basically the maintenance is months behind.
We booked at KarooWerf but were booked into De Oude Pastorie at the same cost. We had a choice. We therefore cannot comment on KarooWerf. Comments herein apply to De Oude Pastorie.
Quaint country farm house, underroof braai area, parked in yard behind locked gates.
Room is tidy with all that is needed. Beautiful old style that takes you back to the nineteen hundreds. Very quiet neighborhood.
