Karoozin was a lovely effective stay. We were only passing through and for that, it was perfect. The room had a lovely bed and bath. I would however not recommend it if you want to stay longer than a day as it doesn't have a microwave or any kitchen facilities. It does however sport a pool and a restaurant outside which can help with food needs.
Karoozin is majestic. Michael and Este were phenomenal hosts who welcomed us to what felt like a home away from home. The bar and restaurant environment is so unique, it really felt like a whole experience in and of itself. We came for the guesthouse but the pizza and people were the cherry on top. Thank you again to our hosts, we will definitely be back again soon.
Slept very well in brand new, good beds. The on-site restaurant has fantastic food and a lovely, relaxing atmosphere next to a beautiful purple swimming pool. We had a safe, peaceful night's rest. Very friendly and helpful host and wife who really care about treating their guests like royalty. We will definitely come again, thank you very much for everything. "Soon, we will once again be cruisin' to Karoozin).

More says, everything was okay. Mattress a bit soft. One microwave, no irons to iron clothes.
It was wonderful. Nice and quiet, no one to bother you. My husband and I really enjoyed it there. Would have liked it if the loadshedding schedule was there, or just to be able to plan our visit around it. But beyond that it was fantasy.
It was incredibly cold and a small fan heater would have made a big difference. We were disappointed that the restaurant, as advertised, was not available - that was the reason I chose the accommodation. We love dogs very much but I think for the wrong person it might be unacceptable. They come into the room.

Highlight: Hostess forwarded my charger by Postnet after I forgot it! For an overnight stay without any expectations, the room was neat and adequate. I found the reception to be bota without any information about anything (eg to remember that the restaurant is not open on a Tuesday but where dinner is close and nice; breakfast is available on request but not offered or asked - didn't feel welcome to ask about it). House rules include that no drink/alcohol is allowed - and this with a small fridge in the room? Porch light without bulb was awkward - sitting on the porch would be great with a view of the beautiful pool. No soap in the bathroom - in response to this it was made clear that this is not a 5 star overnight stay and the price should reflect that. It doesn't matter, but if I had known ahead of time that the basics (like soap in the bathroom) weren't available, I would have brought my own. The room was neat and clean, but note that the bathroom does not have a door. The room felt 'stiff'.
Beds were not comfortable, cats have free access to rooms not good. Owner entertains at bar close to our window till late.

The hosts are amazing at accommodating with any request. The establishment is clean and safe.
We just used this venue as a stop-off on our way to and from a hike. The new owners were very sweet and accommodating and are trying really hard. We had their breakfast on the way up and it was very tasty - sounds like they are going to try to extend the food offerings in the evenings which will be lovely. Rooms are small but perfectly adequate for what you need. The only issue was the beds which were not 100% supportive, but that was more due to my husband's weight as I was fine. Being dog people we fell in love with Rose their sweet dog as well. We wish them both well and hope they go from strength to strength.

Was all we needed and for the price it met our requirement. There are small things that could get attention, it's not a deal breaker, considering that the current owners have now taken over briefly. Owners are very hospitable, and we hope they will make a sister of their place.

Very comfortable, good, friendly and hardworking service. We didn't need to consider options for meals elsewhere. Delicious, freshly prepared meals. Safe parking was important to us and we were very comfortable with the security.

It is a beautiful place. An absolute hidden gem.
The noise of passing trucks day and night is very disturbing. Especially at night. There wasn't even a microwave. Just 2 plates and knives and forks. Just 1 teaspoon. No bowls to eat breakfast cereal in. One of the two coffee bags that was put out was rock hard. We didn't use it. However, the hostess was very friendly and helpful.
Roach on the bed. Dirty cup/used and not cleaned. Pub on site closed at 22:00, however patrons only left at about midnight and the rooms are about 20 meters away! Staff was very helpful and went the extra mile, however being greeted by someone that reeks of alcohol was rather disappointing.
It was a great experience and it was clean and tidy and very peaceful feeling.
Charmaine is a wonderful hostess. It's a pity that we only slept there one night, but it's a wonderful place that we will visit again.

One's luggage space is limited and it helps when guests can accommodate these small things such as small sample toiletries.

We had a great stay and had everything we needed and the place was very clean. Just a request to provide a mug with which one can pour water into the kettle. Other than that, no complaints and they offer a delicious breakfast in the restaurant.
Stay was relaxed. Tasty meal is provided on request. Secure parking for vehicles is offered.
I just feel on the website the advertisement says no children under 17 and directly next to my room there were people with a 3 year old and a baby and it was a bit disturbing. Don't put any children under 17 on the ad.
Have to climb stairs to get to the shower and the tiles are easy to slide on.
