It was an absolute pleasure to take the short drive out of town away from everything to enjoy our evenings in the quiet of the countryside. I loved our stay and we will be using this venue again in future.
Wonderful location overlooking farmlands, beautifully restored old house. Perfect for a winter getaway.
Close enough to town if you forgot milk and far enough for that quiet country feel. Well equipped.

This is great if you are looking for a peaceful setting in nature. You have scenic views of rolling hills and countryside as far as the eye can see with prolific bird life. The cottage is spacious, light and airy with a very well-equipped kitchen. There are 3 options for braaing: indoors, outdoors and a Weber. It is a great base for touring the area.
Happy to escape the city for a break away in such a beautiful spot.
My family and kids stayed there, this past Valentines weekend. Very nice and clean. Loved the sound of sheep in the distance. Could be a little cheaper. But all in all very nice.

Cottage is neat and spacious in a very nice and quiet environment. Garden around cottage is very well taken care of and there are nice braai facilities. It is ideal place for family to get away from city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Karsrivier. The tranquil farm atmosphere provided a wonderful getaway from the city and was exactly what we hoped for. The house is well equipped and very nice and neat. The rural hospitality of the nearby villages of Bredasdorp, Napier, Struisbaai and L'Agulhas provided a wonderful holiday.
Me, my husband and our 7-year-old son spent 2 wonderful days relaxing in the beautiful Kars River Guest House. The house was clean, tidy and everything we needed for our time was there. It's always the little things that make a difference and in this case you can see that a lot of time and attention has been spent on the detail. You just get such a nice farm feeling when you visit there. We had a great time on the porch, where my little boy could safely play around the house. Truly a gem in the area. Thank you for the beautiful place, we will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
Beautiful, modern yet antique farmhouse and excellently equipped. Nature and bird life was amazing and very nice view. Definitely the place if you want to rest.

This little place is a gem on the farm and not far from town. Very quiet, clean and very well furnished. I was not too sure of what to expect but this was a great find. I stay at a lot of B&B's as I cycle numerous events in the Cape and further. This was the best of all. Clean, spacious with everything you needed. I could not fault it at all and will definitely return when I get the chance. I have already told my friends about Karsrivier so I may have difficulty in finding a booking.

We loved the cottage. Small details are everywhere in the house. Great location and a great host. The house has a lot of space. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and more. Definitely worth more than 5 stars.
The kitchen is very well equipped. Rooms are clean and tidy.
Well appointed. Very nice view and nice close to town. Other cottage close by but still feels secluded. Water supply is provided by a pressure pump. It was a problem. When cold water is turned on while someone is showering, the shower's cold water disappears. You can get badly burned like that.

We stayed here just for 1 night, but it was a great experience! The cottage is very cozy, but big, has a fully equipped kitchen, even has an indoor braai! Nice property as well, and not too far from the road. We found a free bottle of wine in the kitchen, a nice touch. It's a bit hard to find using the location provided on this site, but Karsrivier is only a couple of houses so we figured it out fast enough. Very friendly host. We loved it and can only highly recommend it! Perfect for a family or group of friends.
