11 guests' feedbackThe location of the place is amazing, but the place itself lacks some finesse.
There was no WiFi available ─ we were in the fruit export business and it was crucial to monitor and send emails. (Liezle said they were working on the line, but neighbors and other people had no problem with their WiFi, I'm not sure who the service provider was). From Saturday there was also no DStv. There is no mobile reception in the house, if you want to make a call you have to walk 30 m out of the house to try to make or receive one! We have/live on a farm in the Boland and must be reachable at all times! There is a fireplace ok in the photos, but it may not be used at all! Was looking forward to the cold evenings in front of the fireplace (then at least remove it from the photos or say on the add that it cannot be used).
The house has everything you need. Kids were in the pool from sunrise to sunset. Quiet, peaceful and amazing views. Already booked our next stay.

It was pretty cold when we went, and thought we'd have fun playing cards and drinking wine in front of the fireplace. Was a bit disappointed when we read that we can't make a fire inside, although there is a fire place in the photos.
We had a really nice stay. The beds sleep wonderfully. Closer to the sea air you cannot stay. The view was perfect.
Maintenance on the house has definitely been left behind. First floor porch tiles are mostly loose, the braai's bricks are loose. The path from the front of the house to the house is made of pebbles that sting your feet when you walk barefoot - ordinary paving will do wonders. Furthermore, the house is very practical for a large family visit or friends, as it is nice and spacious. The barbecue patio to the left of the house is unfortunately very cramped, but helps a lot when the wind blows.
One should go for more than just a weekend! It's nice on the sand and the sponge bath is great for sitting and enjoying a drink. There is everything one could need. Even a braai up on the stoep with a beautiful view. It's peaceful and so beautiful. The house needs some minor maintenance. The only complaint we have is that you can perhaps make the check-out time a little later than 10:00. (Especially if there are no other guests coming in during the day.) One wants to sleep in a little late, especially on a Sunday.
Our family loved our stay. Right on the beach, perfect combination of sun and shade on the patio and a lovely splash pool. Rooms are spacious and enough bathrooms for everyone. Easy to find and we felt very safe. The only thing that would have it better is if there were hand towels and soaps provided.

Kersterus is definitely a beautiful venue, however not having access to the electricity box is a concern. We had a power failure or load shedding incident and we could not check if the box had tripped. But overall a very nice venue.

Reservations:- When guests accept the quote, they agree to complete and return a personal information document along with a copy of their ID document
- Please ensure that the correct number of guests are listed on the booking form, as these will be the only persons authorised to use the house and its facilities.
- To respect the neighbours, no loud music, excessive noise or parties are allowed.
- No day visitors are allowed.
- Failure to comply may result in immediate eviction with no refund, including forfeiture of the breakage deposit.
Check-in and check-out information:
- Please note on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, check-in is between 10:00 and 13:00. This is different from the weekday check-in times, which are between 14:00 and 18:00
Breakage deposit:
- The following may affect the refund of the breakage deposit:
The owners reserve the right to use the breakage deposit for cleaning, repair or replacement costs if the property has been left dirty, if items are missing, damaged, or if extraordinary cleaning of the property, linen or furniture is required.
Please wash and put away dirty dishes before departure, as unwashed dishes will incur an additional fee.
If guests bring pets, please keep them off furniture, avoid disturbing the neighbours, and clean up after them.
- Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of the breakage deposit.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the houses. If any signs or smells of smoke are detected, the deposit will not be refunded.
- The breakage deposit will be refunded within 14 working days, minus any deductions. If the deposit is insufficient, the booking person is personally responsible for covering additional costs.
Self-Catering Essentials:
- Guests need to bring their own bath and beach towels, dishcloths, wood, food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, extra toilet paper (only one roll per toilet is supplied), and extra black bags (only one in the bin will be provided).
Pet rules:
- If guests have arranged in advance, they are welcome to bring a maximum of two well-behaved pets.
- Pets are not allowed on the beds or the furniture, please bring their own beds, bedding and feeding bowls.
- Pets must not be a nuisance to the neighbours and must be on a leash once guests leave the property.
- Remember to clean up after your pet.
