Thank you very much for the wonderful sleep.
Fantastic! Neat and luxurious. Most beautiful view over the plains. Would definitely recommend!
Will always recommend place.
Delicious! The atmosphere - especially in the restaurant - was wonderful. The food was top notch, and good and friendly service. The chalet was nice and warm (we were there in winter), well equipped, nice beds and pillows. It was very convenient because we wanted to enter the Park's gates early the next morning. Just a pity the Meerkat Weiss Beer was "out of stock"!
Good location, clean, spacious and everything one needs.
The accommodation and food are top notch. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. The service was excellent and the friendly, helpful staff were excellent. There is nothing negative to say about this nice place. The store has just about all the basic necessities. The location is perfect and it is clearly a popular stopover. I would recommend it to anyone. Next time we will stay longer to fit in the hiking trails.
A happy stay with great access to the game reserve. Friendly efficient staff available from 7 am to 7 pm. The workshop helped us with a puncture. The restaurant staff were great. The lodge is managed so well despite the red dune sand everywhere.
Accommodation is spacious, tidy and well equipped. The restaurant's meals are out of the books and the service is excellent. All the staff are friendly and helpful.
Very nice stay, and hiking is a must. See lots of goats and other animals.
Beautifully neat and equipped. The restaurant's food is delicious.
Very nice stay as always, only the mutton neck at R370 is a bit on the expensive side.
Weather was quite good and it is close to the Kgalagadi gate.
We had a wonderful time there. Beautiful, neat and spacious with an incredible view!
What a great experience! Great service!
Everything was perfect. Had a great stay.
We had a very nice stay. Very close to Two Rivers. Very convenient.
Excellent, friendly and efficient.
We had a very nice stay. It was clean, comfortably furnished, a beautiful view and close to the park.
The unit is spacious and very tidy. The staff is also very friendly.
Lovely little house. Beautifully clean and everything needed was at hand.
Very nice stay. No errors.
Very nice stay and relaxed. Chalet and decor are stunning. Showering with the brackish water was nice. 10 stars for you.
Very good location. Great service and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms fully equipped. Would recommend anytime.
Everything was great. Aircon, great bed, awesome location, super friendly staff, good restaurant, great food, well-stocked shop and bakery.
Fantastic stay. Wonderful view. Most delicious room. So nicely furnished.
Yes, thank you very much. It was nice.
Pleasant clean stay! Can recommend it! Close to the park entrance, perfect stopover.
Always stay delicious here!
Great stay, nice room, good restaurant.
Everything was very neat, service was good, facilities excellent.
Perfect accommodation 5 km from Twee Rivieren gate. Excellent restaurant too!
Perfect stay in the Kalahari, near the entrance Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Good restaurant.
Wonderfully peaceful stay with super helpful staff, especially when we got stuck in the sand of the B-camp site on the way in. Nice braai facilities and a small kitchen on the veranda with everything you need to prepare a meal (including salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar and olive oil!). Lovely restaurant, pool and grocery store on site. Delicious pizza! And of course a breathtaking starry sky. WiFi available at the restaurant but not at units and cell reception is very variable (ideal when you want to get away from the mad rush). Tap water is very salty and cannot be drunk or used in a kettle. Filtered water is available for purchase.
It was really nice, beautiful scenery and peaceful. I would advise that they keep bottled water in the rooms because the tap water tastes really salty. It would also be nice if they had a national park booklet in the house just to inform us about the type of animals would most likely see and contact information of the receptionist, restaurant, ect. But futher on me and my family enjoy our stay and wished we could stay longer.
Very nice accommodation, location, and great restaurant and facilities.
Yes, very nice stay.
Was very comfortable and close to the Kgalagadi entrance. Best ribs eaten in the restaurant.
Great experience, helpful people! Thank you!
We camped here for 3 nights during a visit to the Kgalagadi. The campsites each have their own spacious ablution with a shower, sink and toilet. The shop is very well equipped and we were able to buy fresh vegetables and fruit after our fresh goods were confiscated at the Rietfontein border. We also had a great meal at the restaurant. This is a spot of gold.
Lovely stay on the red dune in the Kalahari. Rest for your soul. Good amenities.
Nice chalet, really good food at the restaurant.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Campsite A3 does not have a barbecue, but a fire pit. Not sure if this is at all campsites.
We had a comfortable one night stay at Kgalagadi Lifestyle Lodge. The rooms we had were spacious and clean, with amazing views at sunrise. The staff were also great, as was the food at the restaurant.
Accommodation and food were very good.
Absolutely enjoyed my visit there. Only negative is the poor cell signal and internet.
Very convenient close to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park with a good restaurant. Staff very friendly and professional. Unfortunately the power went out in the middle of the night and by 06h00 it was still not back on. There was no alternative light or gas stove available to boil water and pack for an early departure.
It was nice, close to the park.
It was very nice, air conditioning in the unit helped a lot to cope with the heat.
Yes, but no roof for vehicle and front of house no porch. Air conditioning in bedroom saved us from scorching heat!
Absolutely. Always wanted to stay at the Kgalagadi Lifestyle Lodge, it was our first time but definitely not our last.
We had an incredibly nice stay. Didn't want to go back to JHB. Traveled with my dogs, the accommodation was more than accommodating with them. The food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and Christmas Day) was top notch. The store has everything and more. The staff are top notch. I love the lodge and it is with an open mind and great praise that I recommend them.
Very clean and tidy. Hospitable and friendly!
Campsite 2 had a foul sewage smell. We were moved to camp 1 without delay. Excellent, friendly service.
Really nice stay, despite the heat. Food was great in the restaurant, as was the service and friendliness of the staff. The little shop has everything you need and all kinds of trinkets.
We camped. Lovely bathroom and washing up area. It was very hot so the pool was welcome, albeit a serious uphill walk to get back to the campsite, making you even hotter than when you started. They need a shuttle service!
Terribly peaceful and soul food.
Clean, tidy, safe, well located, nice view, small shop and restaurant. Had a great time.
Once again a great experience as all needs were considered. Very clean and comfortable. The owners have thought of the needs of customers and continue to provide a level of service of cleanliness and friendliness that is remarkable.
If we visit the Kgalagadi again, we will stay at Kgalagadi Lodge rather than in the park. The accommodation is better and cheaper than in the park itself. The entrance to the park is only 5 km away. Would highly recommend it.
We had a great time with our two dog children. The service was friendly and the accommodation top notch. The delicious meals in the restaurant were an extra treat.
Very nice stay and perfect location for park visitors.
The restaurant is a bit of a disappointment and we didn't make use of it. The menu is very limited and dishes are also expensive in our opinion.
Very luxurious and like an oasis after a week in the park. Would recommend for entry night and when exiting again. Comfortable and beautiful. Shop was well equipped and we had a great time visiting and eating in the restaurant. Our unit was even more beautiful than the photos!
Perfect for stopovers to the park and on the way back. Very luxurious.
Feel free to book at Kagalagadi Lodge's campsite.
The tranquility is good. The sunset and sunrise are amazing.
Good reception and shop with all the nice things. Stunning room, spacious and very tidy. Restaurant is excellent, good quality and enormous portions. Will definitely stay there again.
A very nice place to spend the night before going into Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park or after. Always very tidy and enjoy the people's exceptional care of your needs.
Very nice. Staff friendly. Helpful. Clean.
We visit the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park regularly and always sleep at the Kgalagadi Lodge ahead of time. It is so beautiful there and it is one of the places we always visit again and again.
Unbeatable location and atmosphere. Cottages' decor fresh and modern. Decent mattress that feels new. Dinner is optional but can be arranged. Food was so so, but the breakfast excellent!
My 5th visit to Kgalagadi Lodge. Excellent location. Staff are extremely competent and pleasant. Accommodation is beautiful, clean and practical.
It was exactly what I needed.
The accommodation was neat and has everything you need. The restaurant has very nice food and a good variety to choose from.
I enjoyed walking around the area.
Had a camping chalet. Facilities are perfect and surroundings beautiful.
Unit is beautiful with attention to detail like hair dryer by mirror with light. Kitchen is well equipped. Very neat with good finishing. Wish we could stay longer and do some hiking.
Everything was perfect. Accommodation just 5 minutes from Kgalagadi NP.
To wake up with nature is just the way to have a holiday.
Neat and functional. Ideal location.
The chalet was beautifully clean and very well furnished. No complaints, but 2 tips. It was windy when we dropped off and the door blew shut. A hook that can hold the door open will work well and scissors will also be handy to cut open the bag in which the wood or the plastic in which the meat is packed.
Friendly staff. Nice pool.
We stayed one night before entering the park. Honestly had an excellent experience at the lodge. Extremely tidy with staff who were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant has something for everyone. On our next visit to the park we will rather stay here and visit the park as day visitors.
Self cathering old restoration au lodge.
Have a good time and enjoy the view over the Kalahari.
Chalets are fully equipped and bed, bedding, towels, as well as the kitchen equipment are of excellent quality. Staff are friendly and helpful and the store offers the essentials for those who neglected to pack items. Kgalagadi Lodge is located approximately 5km outside the Two Rivers gate of the Kgalagadi Park. The Lodge's cottages and camping facilities are located on flattened red sand dunes with an eastward view of the Aub River bed. The site is well laid out and as much native vegetation as possible has been retained. The roads and terrain are regularly sprayed to prevent dust and prevent vehicles from getting stuck in the sand. Standard and luxury chalets are available, while campers have the choice of standard or luxury campsites that each include their own ablutions, canopy, and braai facilities. The luxury version also includes a fully equipped kitchen on a large covered porch, as well as a bedroom for 3 people and a spacious bathroom. There is a restaurant where meals can be enjoyed with prior reservation. The swimming pool offers a pleasant experience during the warmer months.
Very well located near Kgalagadi. Service is great with a good restaurant. Nice food and peaceful staff. Highly recommended.
The location is perfect. The outside kitchen of the chalets could've been planned better. But all in all value for money.
Beautiful lodge nestled among the red Kalahari dunes. Private ablution at campsite very comfortable and tidy. Only 5 km from main gate of Kgalagadi Park.
Enjoyed very much with good location.
It feels like coming home every time you drive into the gate of Kgalagadi Lodge. We always stay there with every visit to the Park. The accommodation facilities and restaurant are excellent. You can't talk about a Kgalagadi holiday if you haven't stayed at Kgalagadi Lodge and enjoyed the sunrise and sunset from your veranda! The rooms are tasteful and neat. The kitchen is fully equipped with an air conditioner, fridge-freezer, microwave and a two-plate stove, kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet with towels. The rooms are serviced daily. The shop is quite well stocked with everything you need and you can buy delicious freshly baked cakes and tarts there. That's a bonus!
Well located lodge just outside Kgalagadi National Park. We spent the night here to drive back to Cape Town early the next morning. Lovely and well equipped cottages. Stayed so nice and rested well! Good value for money. Just a place where you feel good when you stay there.
Quiet atmosphere and the view is beautiful!
Very comfortable bathroom and well maintained. Excellent service. Milkshakes taste bad.
Excellent location to sleep just outside the Kgalagadi Park before or after visiting the park. Feels as if one is already in the forest.
The Lodge is very neat and looks attractive with its large swimming pool and nice restaurant. The latter was closing when we arrived, but they were able to arrange take-aways for us which were tasty. Room was modern and clean with everything needed. Their shop is also well stocked with everything from vegetables and jams to good quality meat. Worked well for us as an overnight stop after visiting the Kgalagadi. Only 4km from Twee Rivieren.
The staff is particularly friendly and helpful. Everything you need is available in the store. The view over the red dunes is exceptional. There is nothing lacking in the units. It was a wonderful experience. We were able to be in the park early the next morning and thus had about a whole day extra.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Location perfect for entering Kgalagadi. Friendly staff. Heard that they didn't get our reservation from the website, we paid for luxury chalet, but were then put in standard chalet. We are glad we at least got a place to stay. Their emu stole all our bread, buns and biscuits during the night, which would not have happened if we had stayed in luxury chalet (then kitchen). We then had to replace it before we went into Kgalagadi. No feedback received from them as promised. Very cute little shop with everything. Will sleep there again!
Really enjoyed the stay. However, service at the restaurant could improve - very, very slowly.
Camping sites are well set up with shade and the individual ablutions are excellent. It would really be great if more indigenous trees could be planted at the Kgalagadi Lodge. A drip irrigation system using grey water should be possible. It would make a huge difference to the ambience of the lodge.
Room and bathroom are very neat. Just not used to kitchen outside.
Before visiting the Kgalagadi park ideal because it is 5 km from the park and the resorts in the park are often sold out.
The whole lodge is pleasant, beautiful and clean. Very very nice.
We had an incredibly nice stay in the Campers Chalet. The kitchen is outside the house, covered, but it feels like you are in the Karoo. The Lodge is a 3 minute drive from the Kgaladadi Park gate which is so convenient. The shop is well stocked with fresh food, meat, snacks and soft drinks. We couldn't travel with much food and could get everything there. The restaurant's food is also very nice and they served us drinks by the pool. We will definitely stay there again. The WiFi at the restaurant is free, but at the chalets you have to buy and it's quite expensive, so we just used our own, at least there is signal.
Everything was perfect. Nice meal in restaurant.
Our luxury chalet was well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We don't know the reason why we didn't meet the manager. Load shedding isn't a problem for the guests due to their generators. We do appreciate that! Internet in the room is rather expensive, but it works for free in the restaurant. We will come back again!
Lovely stay in the Kalahari. We had a wonderful stay and relaxed.
This is now a gem in the Kgalagadi area. Great service and friendly staff. Thank you, the time with you was top notch.
Sal dit enigetyd aanbeveel.
Next time I will eat at a restaurant. Looks fantastic.
Everything was very clean and tidy. In the morning, the staff made everything very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Amazing location, place, view and people.
We enjoyed camping with our own ablution and braai facilities. There's alway hot water to take a nice shower after a day in the dust. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the shop well stocked. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Very nice, fantastic location. Staff very friendly and fantastic view over Kalahari.
Personal ablution facilities are comfortable and clean.
Good service and friendly staff, would definitely recommend.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The store had essentials available. The area was safe for the children. The sunrise from the units was breathtaking!
Restaurant and shop are very nice and nice to eat and buy at. Neat and clean.
As a family of 4, with 2 little children this was a perfect set up to spend two night at. It's only a few kilometres from the park gate which made it great for a day visit into the park and still have a wonderful afternoon at the pool on return to the lodge.
Kgalagadi Lodge is nice and close to the park. Everyone who works there is really friendly. Everything is clean and the accommodation has everything you need to make your stay extra pleasant.
Units stayed in, very modern and tastefully furnished. Everything inside that is needed.
Come and enjoy the green Kgalagadi. It enriches one's spirit and humanity.
We stayed over at Kgalagadi Lodge for my 50th birthday. Reception immediately gave us the more luxurious villa when they heard it was my birthday. The accommodation is unbeatable, beautiful and the view indescribable. The staff helped my girlfriend and husband arrange flowers and a cake all the way from Upington. We had dinner in the restaurant and got a free bottle of champagne. The service and food were delicious. Will definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed the layout and the nice hot water during the shower. We enjoyed the daily cleaning of the chalets - WiFi is only at the restaurant. Luckily no power outage. Sorry no hairdryer. Thank you very much, we enjoyed staying there.
Room was very neat and clean. Convenient little shop with all the basic necessities and cute gifts. Restaurant's menu looks delicious (although we didn't eat). Would recommend the local Craft Beer. Perfect overnight stop before heading into Kgalagadi. (Or even if you can't find a place in the park itself).
We have stayed with the Lodge several times and it is always the best option.
We arrived there on a very wet and windy evening and could not use our outdoor kitchen. Then asked for an upgrade to an interior kitchen cottage and was able to move in the next day. We are very grateful. My greatest gratitude was that there were mats next to our bed. That's quite something you miss in places to stay these days. So just for that: simply 10 out of 10! Lovely restaurant, well stocked shop and very friendly staff. Would love to have WiFi at our cottage as it is only available at the restaurant.
The accommodation is very neat and there is everything you need. Only a 5 minute drive from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park makes it great to stay there.
It was convenient to stay over close to the Kgalagadi Frontier park. The facilities were good.
Comfortable environment up against the dune to enjoy. Nice and close, 5 minutes from the Kalahari entrance gate. The modern house has all the necessary accessories with lovely cool air from the air conditioner. And if you are hot then you fall into the pool at the arrival hall. We just walked down the dune to the pool. And there is a comfortable, cool store that sells the necessary groceries. It was nice to be able to meet the friendly people of the Kalahari.
Will definitely visit Kgalagadi Lodge again!
The place to be!
Lovely stay close to Kgalagadi gate. Shop is well equipped and restaurant's food is delicious. Chalets are neat and equipped with everything you may need during your stay. And the lovely cool pool is a big plus point.
Was well informed about the brackish water, condition of roads, times of entry gates at camp, swimming pool remains a winner.
A perfect place to stay en route to the Kgalagadi. The only disappointment we had this time is that the chalet we were given was not the one we booked online. The receptionist was unhelpful. Otherwise, always a good stay.
Steps from cottages to pool would also work.
Close to the Kgalagadi gate.
Excellent stopover for travelers on their way to and from the Kgalagadi. Just outside Twee Rivieren gate. Perfect for the visitor who wants to visit the park early in the morning or leave early to return home.
Everything beautifully neat, beautiful environment. Excellent service. Restaurant is cozy with very good service and excellent food. Will definitely stay there again.
Everything was exquisite and special. The staff lacks some training, especially in communication.
Our stay was wonderful. Our last minute booking was processed quickly and accepted without difficulty. We got a room with two single beds, where the pictures show a double bed. When we pointed it out we were immediately given the next available room without any questions or trouble, now that's great service! There is also a great restaurant on site, which I would definitely recommend!
See stars.
Enjoyed it a lot. We will visit again. Next time we will bring friends or recommend to outdoor tourists.
When we visit the Kgalagadi at least 1 x per year, the Lodge is our overnight stay before entering the Park. Besides being safe, good value for money, it has a lovely restaurant where we always enjoy a really good dinner with a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended. Best place to hear the barking geckos.
Interesting dune with meerkats and birds. Emu came to share my meal.
We have spent the night in various places over the past 10 days and Kgalagadi Lodge stands out head and shoulders as the best in all respects. Given the potential security risks that exist everywhere, I believe that some form of security would make a guest feel better.
The shop assistant went out of her way to provide us with eggs for our onward journey, the shop was out of stock so she helped us out of the bakery.
Very neat accommodation close to the Oorgrenspark. Various options. Tasty meals at the restaurant and neat swimming pool. Water in taps is very brackish, but usable for the necessary. Reception can provide more information about the resort upon arrival.
Everything was perfection. Just one problem. Either when we ate and my vehicle was parked at the restaurant or the night of the sleepover someone cut my vehicle's horn wires. They also serve as the vehicle's alarm. I noticed this the next day when I wanted to use the horn. I know that it worked the other day when I greeted someone. Maybe the owners just need to pay a little attention to security. It's not a big deal. Just a suggestion.
They could adapt their Wi-Fi service to be more user friendly.
Tasteful decor inside and scenery from the hill beautiful.
Very nice accommodation and ideal to spend the night just before entering KTFP. The water is terribly brackish, one would think that at least a liter or two of drinking water would be provided in the unit.
Anyone struggling with accommodation in Kgalagadi, this is the place to stay. You can enter the park every day easily.
Stay in the luxury chalet was very good, except that the tv did not work and some of the wall plugs were installed so strangely, that they are unusable. On our return we stayed in the smaller chalets. Oddly enough, one had a kitchenette on the porch, but the other didn't. Service at the restaurant is not very friendly and brisk, and much of the food on the menu is not available.
Saw a lot of wildlife.
From professional reception to sparkling barbecue - everything was just 100 percent.
Service is poor, restaurant can't handle a few tables at once, basic food selections like hamburgers are not available (out of stock of meat), poor WiFi, general cleanliness lacking.
I loved my stay at Kgalagadi Lodge.
Visitors camping in December should make sure their tents are well secured as we had extreme winds.
It's our second time staying here. On our arrival we were told that there was no power due to circumstances beyond the lodge's control due to the rain. However, the owner found a generator and by early evening the power was on. They spared no money and effort to keep the generator running day and night. It truly deserves five stars on its own! Kgalagadi Lodge is beautiful, excellently managed and you will go back there again and again. Very good and comfortable accommodation, service etc. Accommodation is cleaned daily. The unit has two bedrooms, a living room, well equipped kitchen, one bathroom. Outside patio with barbecue. There is a well stocked shop and restaurant that makes very good food. Lovely view and the starry sky takes your breath away!
Staff, from cleaning to management, are all very friendly, helpful and go out of their way to accommodate guests.
The room looks small from outside, but is well planned with a great layout.
Lovely porch with beautiful views, was spoiled with a thunderstorm and lightning. Well equipped and spacious.
Everything nice. Very nice view. Very beautiful sunsets.
Exceeded expectations.
We were received friendly and very professionally. Was very surprised to see such a large store very well equipped. Lovely pool. Very very nice view from a clean and well equipped chalet. Will definitely stay here again.
Situated perfectly 1km from Twee Rivieren gate. Marvelous pool to cool down in. Fantastic food from restaurant accompanied with ice cold beer. We camped and were absolutely amazed at the wonderful bathroom 'en suite'. Staff and service amazing. Always management presence. Will definitely stay there again. Already recommended them to people we met in the park.
Large private camping sites, nice swimming pool. The store is well stocked for necessary items. Most beautiful sunsets.
Comfortable, nice stay.
Because the Kgalagadi Park is so full, it is difficult to find an open house.
Staying overnight at the lodge is always a winner. Place is always very nice clean and tidy. The staff always helpful. The on-site shop caters for all your needs from A to Z. The lodge is well located just a stone's throw from Twee Rivieren.
It is the perfect place for an overnight stop before or after visiting the park.
We had a great time in the cute family chalet. After 9 days of camping, the comfortable beds were very welcome. The food in the restaurant also went down well.
We really enjoyed our stay and would much rather stay at the Lodge again than in the park. The holiday home's prices are much more reasonable compared to the National Park's and absolutely worth it. The fact that the Lodge is only 3 km from the main gate Twee Rivieren from the park makes it absolutely worth visiting most of the Park. They were also very accommodating with upgrading our holiday home so that we could stay next to our friends, and without any additional payments.
The shop there has everything required should you have forgotten anything for your visit into Kgalagadi.
Value for money. Comfortable accommodation.
Everything in place. Trouble with decor.
Had more than everything we needed for an overnight stay. Excellent location as it is a few minutes from Kgalagadi Park.
I made a mistake with my reservation and then booked the same date for the Park as well. The friendly staff helped me and I was able to change my date with them to 5 days later. Wonderful reception. Only pity restaurant was then with the Level 4 containment. Will visit again.
A wonderful experience to see sunrise and sunset in the Kgalagadi. The quiet environment, animals and many birds were food for the soul. Our stay was excellent and access to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park was smooth. We're going again!
Comfortable, spacey, neat and affordable.
We will definitely make use of them again. Friendly reception and place very clean and neat. The location is excellent in case you want to stay for even more days.
ñ Oasis after 13 hours on the road. Beautiful nature and the most beautiful sunset over the dunes. Blissful soul rest.
Three nights were too little. A wonderful way to experience the Kalahari and its red sand dunes. Because we first booked for just 2 nights and then another night, there was initial confusion to confirm the third night's booking, but this was resolved very quickly and in a helpful, friendly manner. Extra bowls for use in the microwave would be appreciated. Will definitely use this place again.
And the clean bed linen smelled heavenly - not like a hotel where it smells like nothing. One suggestion: there was only one blanket, maybe it would be a good idea to provide two blankets as there are two single beds. It wasn't a problem at all, just a suggestion.
The house is very well equipped, comfortable beds with air conditioning/heating throughout. Blue wildebeest grazed peacefully in front of our porch.
Thank you very much for your prompt service.
Lodge is beautiful and comfortable - we will definitely visit again!
Very neat houses with a good view of the dunes.
We were upgraded from a Standard Chalet to a Family Unit because they needed to accommodate a tour group together. Honestly fantastically furnished - everything has been thought of. Something unusual is to find oil and balsamic vinegar on the kitchen shelf. The first thing I always look for is a loose sheet on the bed, and they did not disappoint.
Very comfortable campsites with canopy and own ablution with power points and sink. Very conveniently located for access to Kgalagadi. Good shop with nice takeaway food and lovely restaurant. Delicious pizza! Just watch out for getting stuck in loose sand!
Excellent trip. Second time for me. Will go again.
We had a great time. The cottages are well equipped and we had a nice swim and a cocktail at the restaurant. Very friendly service. I forgot my charger there and when we passed by again 4 days later they kept it for me without us even contacting them. Just take your own drinking water or buy from the cute shop (they have als). The water is very salty.
Our 5th time staying at Kgalagadi Lodge, and never a bad experience!
If you don't spend a lot of time at a guest house, because you travel around during the day, you only need the basics. The package was pocket size. Spotlessly clean facilities, everything in the kitchen you need, air conditioning and good quality linen. Nothing extravagant that you feel like you're paying for something you're not going to use.
It's the little things that count - the team ensured that we had a comfortable and lovely overnight stay.
There was a misunderstanding with our booking, and we were immediately upgraded to a more luxurious chalet! Almost sorry I couldn't stay longer!
Will also use the campsite in the future. And entering the park daily. However, would suggest that the lodge warns you when you check in about the brackish water so that you can go into the cottage prepared with water. Coffee with brackish water just doesn't work. Or there may even be a complimentary 1 liter of water in the fridge for the kettle. No complaints about the lodge. love the place.
Beautiful location to enjoy the wonder of the Kalahari. Lovely self-catering units, camping facilities and also a good restaurant. This lodge can be recommended with ease.
Very nice and comfortable.
The helpfulness of the staff is exceptional. Apartments are beautiful! Neat, clean, food is good. It's one of the best resorts of the many I've stayed in.
Obvious choice to spend the night on the way to Kgalagadi. Well equipped and friendly service.
We could not find continuous accommodation in the Kgalagadi and decided to stay 6 nights at the Kgalagadi Lodge on the doorstep of the Transfrontier Park, so that we would not have to set up camp and move to a new place every day. Then ventured into the park as day visitors. The B campsites where we stood are very new and neat, each with its own ablution facilities.
Certainly the closest accommodation to the Kgalagadi Park's Twee Rivieren gate. The standard room is lovely, luxuriously equipped with everything you could need and a nice view of the Kalahari dunes. Just remember your own drinking water and firewood.
Children enjoyed it very much, peacefully with the most beautiful sunrise and sunset.
We had a great time, rested and enjoyed nature and people.
Delightful, clean, luxury accommodation. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom - a must whenever we visit Kgalagadi!
Very good place to sleep, we stayed 4 nights, driving into Kgalagadi every day. Will recommend to other people.
Everything was correct and neat.
Place is well located, not too far from gate.
Very good location, just outside the park. Restaurant and little shop available.
Great view, well located and friendly staff. Located near KNP. Room booked was upgraded by lodge at no cost. It was a good surprise.
It was lovely. A pity the restaurant had run out of pizza and chicken patties.
The lodge offered travellers everything you could wish for; very comfortable and well appointed room and the restaurant had ambience and delicious meals at very reasonable prices.
Very comfortable cottages, well equipped and very convenient near Kgalagadi Park.
Needs an inside area for dining. The night we were there it was blowing a gale and very unpleasant on the patio.
The cottage on the hill was clean and had everything we needed. A bonus was the porch with a nice view.
Easy check in, lovely view over the dunes, comfortable bed and averything one needed.
Overnight there on the way to the Park.
Nice place for rest and relaxation after or before trip to Kgalagadi. Great location gives extra day in Kgalagadi both ways. Great bar, swimming pool and restaurant. Please try local craft beer Kalaharie Weiss on tap.
The wall plug outside by the parking lot was very handy.
Our one room's roof light and mirror light did not work, but at least there were bedside lamps. But that didn't make the stay bad. Note that the water is very salty. Take your own water with you.
Nice and practical. Interesting design in the cottages.
People very friendly and the sunset is beautiful.
The resort is very nice clean and tidy, and is serviced every day. The private ablution facilities are a plus. Can recommend the resort any day. Will go there again, if the opportunity arises. Well located in relation to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Kgalagadi Lodge is a good rest stop for people traveling from the Cape to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The facilities are clean and the staff friendly.
The camp was clean and tidy. There were also ablution blocks.
Good location near Kgalagadi.
Delicious food! Excellent location!
Although the units are relatively new with good finishes, there is little maintenance work needed. Some of the cement in the floor tiles was loose and some of the furniture's armrests were dirty. However, the rest was very neat.
We stayed there on Saturday night, beautiful place with very good location, but some of the floor tiles in the living room of our house are loose/broken and could cut someone's feet. The water in the taps is inhumanly salty and a container with potable water would be very welcome. Then, late on Saturday afternoon, a bakkie brigade from the north played deafening music at house no. 27 arrived who made a loud noise until the early hours of the morning and played their music deafeningly loud while the people on duty sat and watched them without silencing them or talking to them. I suggest that any form of loud music should be banned and if someone is guilty of abusing alcohol with negative consequences for guests who would like to enjoy the silence and night sounds, they should be summarily evicted. This is why people go to places like the Kgalagadi, to breathe in the natural beauty and silence.
We had a nice time. The pictures I booked from had paving under the canopy. The actual stand I received had sand and stone. We are seated in block B and the photos on your reservation are Block A.
Good location, everything very clean and well designed, but beds are really poor quality and uncomfortable. Less money could be spent on (unnecessary and bothersome) decorations and rather getting really good mattresses.
Early in the morning when we wanted to shower, there was almost no water in the taps. Fortunately, we noticed that our neighbor had already left after dark, so we showered in his unit.
Reception friendly, restaurant not so friendly. We couldn't have dinner there because they were waiting for products and couldn't tell when they would receive them or what they would get for dinner! Pool was not clean. They waited for chlorine. Houses very neat and clean. Doing upgrades to cottages. Can't the management order products on time? They then know they are far from everything! Tourist season after the nice rain and they are in great demand!
Perfectly located on the way to Kgalagadi.
Enjoyed it.
Peace for your soul. The restaurant worth a visit.
Family unit was beautiful, clean and comfortable.
Reception smooth; apartment spotlessly clean; view breathtaking.
Ons kuier was uit die boonste rakke.
We were tired after the journey from Nossob and could relax in the air-conditioned room. The reception was friendly, without waiting long the key was handed over. My husband was happy that he could watch his sports programs on TV again. Everything was neat and in place. In the evening we were able to sit down to dinner at the restaurant. We didn't have breakfast. It would be great if breakfast could be included in the price.
Stayed there 2 years ago - quality still great, thank you
Probably our 5th time at Kgalagadi Lodge, and 100% satisfied every time!
Our room was nice and spacious, had delicious food, rooms are also cleaned every day which is a big plus! Children were able to run around and enjoyed themselves very much! Thanks for the great Lodge! We will definitely come again with friends or family!
Would have liked to stay longer. Booked for 3 days before lockdown. Had to reschedule from March to September. Were 6 guests and 2 had to withdraw due to school terms that have changed.
Beautiful place! Everything you need and more. Conveniently close to the Kgalagadi Gate.
An oasis in the desert. It was a good first experience. After a long hot journey we were able to rest wonderfully in an air-conditioned unit. Beautiful swimming pool and well equipped shop. The breakfast was delicious and on top of that we got a pack of roasted coffee beans as a gift.
Sorry we could only stay there one night. I would have liked better coffee in the room and not powdered milk.
Friendliest people, very helpful. Neat places. Clean and very neat, definitely a place to overnight before going to the Kgalagadi. Thank you.
They rent off-road vehicles.
The Lodge is like an oasis in the Kalahari! Wonderful hospitality, excellent food!
Kalahari experience like few. Near Kgalagadi Gate at Two Rivers.
As usual, very nice stay. Clean, tidy, staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant's food is delicious. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely use them again for a lovely break!
Friendly staff, good shade at each campsite with its own clean bathroom and washing area.
We'll go again. Cute shop and restaurant.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Kalahari Lodge. We were delayed and called the lodge to inform them of our dilemma. They were most accommodating and ensured that all was arranged for our late arrival. The staff are polite, honest and efficient. I will definitely drop by again. The website were also extremely helpful, efficient and kept us posted every step of the way. All in all, a most pleasant experience.
Very clean and tidy inside. Braai area a bit neglected. Could do with a seat or chairs to sit on while grilling.
Lovely to stay there and visit the park.
This is not the first time we stayed here. Beautiful view from the cottage. But compared to other overnight stays in the Northern Cape, for example Kakamas, I found this accommodation well overpriced!
We moved there in 2019. It's pretty basic (even the "luxury" units) but comfortable if quite expensive given the experience then and this time. The fact that the air conditioner was not working made it an unpleasant experience. This year the air conditioner did not cool properly again (albeit slightly better than in 2019). However, what makes it inexcusable is that I requested in writing twice before our arrival that the air conditioning should work. The person sent to come "look" at it literally came to do just that (the technical expert was apparently "off for the weekend").
We as a couple had a nice stay at Kgalagadi Lodge in one of their "Luxury Camping Chalets". The location is beautiful and the atmosphere is peaceful. We were a little disappointed with the chalet, because the bathroom's interior door key was not there the first night we slept. We had to walk outside at night through the bugs by the porch lights to use the outside door of the bathroom. We also arranged ahead of time for a special basket in the chalet because we were on honeymoon, but it was not in the chalet on arrival at all. The rest of the chalet is more basic than luxurious as described. There is also no hairdryer or safe in the chalets. Something expected from a 4 star. One of the towels also had a hole in it. Next time we would rather camp or try to get a place in one of the other chalets on the site.
Kgalagadi Lodge is very beautiful, neat and peaceful! We would recommend that they acquire more staff. Our chalet was not cleaned regularly and we were there for 5 days before our linen and towels were changed (after we complained). The world has a lot of sand and we did expect linen and towels to be changed regularly and our place to be cleaned at least every day. The staff did not arrive until 2 o'clock in the afternoon to do the previous night's dishes. Well then we already did that. The power was a problem. We went for drinks at the restaurant one night, they couldn't even give us our bill because the power was off. We went back the next day to pay and they couldn't find our bill. We asked them to ring it up again and paid. We recommend that they get a UPS backup system for the restaurant. Other than that, the rest was nice. We rested well.
I will visit the place again, will recommend people to go and stay there, it is very beautiful and nice.
We really enjoyed our time at the lodge. It was so peaceful with the wildebeest, kudus and emus walking around there. Was so tame, you could touch them. We got little visitors every night - meerkat and emu - gave them names later! Children really enjoyed it. Our chalet was cleaned every day and plenty of fresh towels are available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and pool area were very nice. Would recommend the lodge anytime.
Comfortable camping with clean private ablution block. Shop has necessities available, like ice, bread, milk, cold drinks, medicines. Reception was very nice and helpful.
'n Must for any visit to Kgalagadi Park.
The units are very convenient and all other services like restaurant and shop are good.
The apartments and the restaurant are nicely decorated, it is located really close to the Kgalagadi entrance. We went a couple of times to the restaurant, as well as for breakfast as dinner they offer many options.
Brian provided very good service. I rented a 4x4 at Kgalagadi Lodge to drive into the park and all the arrangements went smoothly. Such a peaceful stay. Even had someone who helped me make a fire.
Everything was great.
We and friends stayed in one of the 2-bedroom chalets for 5 nights. It exceeded our expectations. There was everything we needed. The view from the veranda was very nice. The location of Kgalagadi Lodge, only 5 km from the Kgalagadi SanPark is very good. We could go into the park every day. The restaurant's menu and food can be recommended, as well as the store that has most items one would need. We will definitely book here again.
It's just so nice to stay here. Clean and tidy. So nice when the emus and other animals come to visit. You feel so at home here.
Well equipped chalet. The fact that it is cleaned every day is a definite bonus. Air cooling is a joy in the hot Kalahari.
It was delicious! Convenient with the little shop, camping facilities were just so cute, we will definitely go camping again!
Outstanding, will stay here again.
It was my first camping experience in South Africa and I was surprised at how comfortable the campsites were. Very nice place, I will stay there again anytime. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The tame blue wildebeest, emu's and kudus were a bonus.
Conveniently located, clean chalet, beautiful scenery, helpful staff.
Will recommend for sure. We had a wonderful stay.
Very neat facilities.
Ability to combine absolute luxury and simplicity. The restaurant is excellent and the staff extremely helpful. What a privilege to be served in Afrikaans.
We all had a wonderful time at Kgalagadi Lodge. Beautiful setting, comfortable unit and even the emu's and baby wildebeest came to say hello.
Accommodation was very clean and well appointed. Will definitely stay there again and recommend them too.
Breathtakingly beautiful. Peaceful, wildlife that roams and comes to greet delicious experience. Will go again in the near future. Would recommend any to any person. Friendly reception and service.
Our late arrival was not a problem and reception was very welcoming. Very clean rooms that were well appointed. Close proximity to the park. Food and service in the restaurant excellent. Highly recommended.
It was a great surprise to find this kind of facility in such a remote location. We really enjoyed it very much. It is clean, all sorts of facilities a traveler wants, quiet and very close to nature. We would definitely recommend it to any traveler who wants to stay there for a night or even a few days.
Very nice location, close to park, cuddly bedding, fully equipped and everything you need for a wonderful stay.
The chalets have a great view, are clean and well stocked. We could get to Kgalagadi park in minutes. The customer service was really good and the food at the restaurant was great.
Kgalagadi Lodge is very beautiful. Places are convenient. Lovely braai area. Sunrise in the morning right in front of one's room.
Very comfortable, well equipped chalet just outside the Kgalagadi park. Beautiful scenery with frequent visits by animals e.g. emus, kudu, springbok and blue wildebeest calves. The delicious main dishes in the restaurant can definitely be recommended. We will definitely visit here again.
This was the third time we stayed at the Kgalagadi Lodge. The reception staff, accommodation and location are excellent. It's really a pleasure to stay here overnight. The shop/restaurant caters for all needs. The staff are extremely efficient and hearty. I recommend Kgalagadi Lodge without reservation.
Neat chalet. Lovely braai facilities with a beautiful view.
Excellent accommodation on the way to the Kgalagadi!
We have been to Kgalagadi Lodge a few times and these cabins were our first choice. The open kitchen is nice and enough for self-catering. Very friendly and helpful people who work there. The wildebeests, goats and emus that are so tame make it an extra nice place to visit!
Convenient location in front of Kgalagadi. Very neat.
Excellent location and value for money. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent service and value for money.
The accommodation was wonderful. Even the salad for the braai was dropped off at the unit. Thank you to Fanie and his team. The breakfast was filling and tasty.
The camp-with-own ablution facilities are clean and tidy. Cute shop with freshly baked bread and restaurant with tasty menu (a bit expensive, but delicious).
Convenient stopover if too late to enter the Park.
Quiet atmosphere with sunlight that generates through the sliding door in the morning. Hospitable staff and just great to stare into the distance from the dune while braai glows.
Definitely value for money and would recommend it to family and friends.
The location of the lodge is perfect, with a wonderful view of the Kalahari dunes. The reception staff very friendly, the food very tasty, and accommodation was clean, and with very nice decor. There is a lovely swimming pool there, the staff very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay.
We had a great stay here, literally 5 km from the Two Rivers gate to the park, in the morning you see the sun rise right in front of you and in the evening the most beautiful stars. The baby blue wildebeest that lay down and slept at our cottage was a bonus.
Wonderful stay over before entering the Kgalagadi. Lovely view over the Kalahari from the stoep and braai area. Very comfortable unit. Kgalagadi Lodge was a very pleasant surprise.
The accommodation is very neat and clean. The view was amazing and very convenient if you are looking at going into the Kgalagadi Park as it's about 2 km away from the Twee Rivieren gate.
We were so fantastically welcomed and supported throughout the visit!
Exactly how it's advertised on the website. The staff is friendly and helpful. Units are nice and clean.
Very nice lodge that's good value for money, and well maintained. Beautiful location and just around the corner from the park. Excellent accommodation!
Highly recommended. One of the best after Kgalagadi.
For the month of March, it was a delightfully cool adventure. The rooms were comfortable and stylish with enough electrical plugs for hairdryers and mobile phones. Thanks for DStv, we enjoyed it. Everything was clean and tidy.
We had a great stay there and the pool was a great place to cool off.
From the moment we arrived our breath was taken away. The rooms are so tastefully furnished. The staff should all be called by name because they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The restaurant's food is the best ever. It is beautifully presented to you. The pool is clean and perfectly placed. I would give this lodge a 10 out of 10. Best overnight stop before Kgalagadi. The owners can truly be proud of their staff.
Friendly reception and very professional service. Breakfast was delicious.
We had an awesome stay. The chalets are stunning. The staff were friendly and the hamburgers in the restaurant were to die for. We will always stay there before entering the park. Well done, Kgalagadi Lodge.
I wasn't sure what to expect, first visit to the Kgalagadi and could only hope the accommodation would live up to the park. Well did they exceed expectations, awesome resort, stunning chalets, friendly staff, an extra plus point is the restaurant, food made fresh and its some of the most delicious food I've ever tasted. Well done Kgalagadi Lodge, keep up the great work!
Great as always, will definitely use them again.
Everything was clean and neat. Staff are very friendly.
It was my 6th time at Kgalagadi Lodge. Would definitely go again and recommend it. Excellent.
The facilities were good and comfortable. The restaurant served excellent food for dinner and breakfast. It's just a shame that the air conditioning practically didn't work at all while it was very hot. We will stay there again provided we are assured that the air conditioning is working. It's one of the "selling points" and shouldn't just be lip service.
I will stay there anytime again. Literally everything you need and location is excellent. Absolutely worth it.
I will recommend the lodge to my friends. Swimming pool was a refreshing end to a long hot day in the reserve.
Camped very well and really appreciated our own ablution facilities. The one problem is the emu's who are very bothering and you can't leave anything on a table outside the tent, even if you're there. They sneak in and peck at everything.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay with nothing to fault!
See stars.
Very well equipped with beautiful Kalahari view. Two young kudus and 3 young wildebeests roaming around the camp make it very special. Day visitors wishing to visit the Kgalagadi Park are advised to make arrangements in advance, as a limited number of visitors are allowed into the park.
We were kindly received at Kgalagadi Lodge and were very happy with neat, clean chalets. The dinner we enjoyed at the restaurant was top notch and the service friendly and prompt. The blue wildebeest and emus that roam everywhere contribute to a special atmosphere.
Will definitely stay there again.
Very nice stay. Very neat. For sure value for money.

We arrived after 21:00. As per arranged our key was left in the door of the luxury chalet. The unit was roomy, TV and DStv worked well. Air-con was delightful and functional, kitchen was not 100% clean, no egg lifter, but equipped for cooking. Bathroom perfect. Overall a lovely, comfy stay in the cold July. Super close to Twee Riviere's gate into the Kgalagadi allowing for a little sleep in. Will visit again.
Very nice self-catering accommodation with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful with a nice view.
Great accommodation. Third time we stayed there. Restaurant is just ridiculously expensive.
Ideal overnight stay before entering Kgalagadi.
Safety, nature and view contributed to the peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely visit again.
Kgalagadi Lodge's accommodation was not only very comfortable with excellent facilities, but what stood out above all was the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the workers. They are really well trained and seem to enjoy their work and it shows in the way they treat customers. Truly a credit to management how they trained the people!

Everything was right. We arrived and the key was ready. The view is fantastic. The people who work in the lodge are very friendly. The store is well sorted. And has a restaurant, you can eat there deliciously.
Had a good stay before we were in the park. Definitely recommend.

Nice place. Check before if you can enter the park. Maximum on cars.
A very convenient stop-over on our way to the park.
The lodge is very conveniently located, neat, clean and highly functional. Staff friendly and helpful, lodge shop is very well equipped and reasonably priced. It is safe, located a stone's throw from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and reasonably priced.
Restaurant is excellent and they went out of their way to provide a packed breakfast for an early departure.
Would definitely recommend this place for overnight stay (or longer) before entering Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. We had traveled far and welcomed this welcome break, and were not disappointed. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Chalets neat, clean and of high quality. We would definitely recommend the restaurant if you don't feel like cooking yourself, recommend the mutton tails as a starter, and the other food and service was excellent. Thank you very much for a nice rest visit, will definitely come again.
Check-in was swift and the place was neat and comfortable. I would recommend more surfaces to place luggage as one does not unpack for a one night stay. The lack of plates and cutlery was efficiently addressed by the friendly staff. Lovely location to start your day in the park.
Don't understand what is resensie. Sorry therfore no comment.. Lol
Dirty rooms. Staff need straining.
Our stay at Kgalagadi Lodge was wonderful! The family unit we stayed in was modern and neat, with everything needed and the most beautiful view! Will definitely recommend Kgalagadi and stay there again.
Excellent! Right at the gate of the park and a lot of game in the immediate vicinity! Location on the dune is perfect.
Will definitely stay here again.
Reception was excellent. Nicholas from the restaurant delivered great service. We were very satisfied.
We stayed at Kgalagadi Lodge as we could not get accommodation in the park and we never regretted this and it was cheaper than the park! We stayed in Chalet nr B8 right on the dune and we could easily go for walks in the dunes. Everything in the chalet was just so beautifully planned and decorated. The kitchen is outside and I think it might get very cold in the winter to cook outside but the restaurant meals tasty and the portions are very big, maybe that will be a warmer option for the winters.
Comfortable overnight during holiday. Neat and well equipped accommodation.
Great stay with a fantastic restaurant on the premises.
We had a great stay and the view was pretty. Very close to the park, so people can go in and out easily. To just sit on the patio and stare at the fields was so relaxing.
Very clean and neat unit with beautiful view of the Kalahari and nice and close to the park. Good value for money.
We didn't know what to expect and were really surprised with the lodge. The place makes you feel at home and there is an equipped braai drum which is in better condition than any other place we have stayed. The lodge, which is excellently located, we will definitely see again.
Excellent stay. Cuddly beds with nice kitchen and bathroom. Nice braai on the stoep with a nice view. Restaurant has a very good menu with delicious food.
The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable. Good barbecue. Would definitely recommend it.
Chalets were neat and everyone was very friendly. Food was delicious.
The chalet's decor is nice and modern and the kitchen is well equipped. The food at the restaurant is excellent and the staff very friendly. Really a great experience and very close to Twee Rivieren. I would definitely stay here again on my way to the Kgalagadi.
So close to Tweerivieren border post, comfortable, neat and the lovely restaurant is a bargain. Had a good rest.
Really a lovely place. Clean and tidy and comfortable. You feel so at home and the view is wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I'll stay there again.
Family cottage was well equipped and clean. New look throughout the house. Restaurant's mutton tails a great treat. Fillet in the bone a good choice on the menu.
Truly an oasis in the Kalahari with well equipped kitchen. Friendly service.
We spent the night before going into Kgalagadi and when we came out of the park again. The accommodation was relaxing, spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Will gladly go back again. It is a absolute must in your bookings going to Kgalagadi Lodge.
Will stay here again, definitely!
Very nice stay, felt at home with no problems.
The house was beautifully and very comfortably furnished. The people are terribly honest. I forgot my rings and within 15 min of our departure we were notified about the rings.
Good location so on the front door of the Kgalagadi National Park. Nice place and nice room and facilities. Right for your own barbecue and good food with a beautiful view. Recommended.
We have also slept here before and it is the perfect place to stay! It is built on the dunes near the Transfontier Park and the sunrise over the border of Botswana is something to behold. We were very sad about the camel rides not being available! That would have been the cherry on the cake for us. Hopefully a next time.
Excellent reception with free WiFi at restaurant. Meals at restaurant delicious with no corkage fee for your own wine. The service in restaurant and shop very good and staff friendly and excellently trained. Was a pleasure to stay there.
The organisation was excellent, as well as the Kgalagadi Lodge's accommodation.
Accommodation was lovely, just wonderful.
Thanks to the management, staff and especially Nicolas who provided excellent service. Nicolas, you made us decide to visit you again next year. Chalet was very well equipped, lovely bed, shower, kitchen and a picture-perfect moonrise.
Friendly staff well equipped shop, great restaurant, pool, air-conditioned and comfortable close to Kgalagadi gate also super camping sites with private ablution.
The ideal place to recharge your batteries and clean your head. Very neat and clean and friendly, helpful staff.
Location is great - close to park and access very easy. Unit very neat and spacious with everything one could wish for. Restaurant / shop much better than in the park - well done!
Great value for money with a well stocked shop for that last purchase before entering the Park.
Nice stay with good location in relation to Kaglagadi TFP, net units. Good shop and restaurant with good food at very competitive prices.
Rooms are luxurious and spotlessly clean with everything you need. The view was a feast for the eyes. Too scared to recommend it because right now we can't find a place next time.
We enjoyed our stay, clean, excellent accommodation, well kept with all amenities.
The place was very beautiful and also the view.
An oasis in the desert - will stay there again.
A good camping spot with your own (clean and spacious) bathroom, sink (on the veranda), shade. Ideal overnight for a trip from and tot the Kgalagadi National Park. 5 km for the Twee Riviere gate.
The shower is a bit small for a larger person. No bin in the unit. The kitchen counter could have been bigger so you can sit and eat there, especially when it's cold outside.
The chalets are neat with everything for self-catering. However, we went to the restaurant. We were surprised with the unbelievable spread of dishes on the menu. Everyone was convinced that their meals were the best! Absolutely recommendable.
We stopped here for two nights after touring Kgalagadi. In future I would stop over in the Lodge for first night and then drive straight to Nossob or Mata Mata and skip Twee Rivieren.
See stars.
Thank you very much for friendly service, beautiful stay. We will visit you again.
Only negative is that we are never lucky enough to see much wildlife in the south. So in the future I would still spend the night at Mata Mata or Nossob to be able to see more north.
Beautiful Kalahari location and excellent cottages that are very tastefully furnished with all the amenities needed to beat the heat.
Very neat and modern.
Great lodge! Very spacious room and bathroom. Lovely air-con to save us from the heat. Great location and service.
Accommodation and meals at restaurant were great. We really enjoyed it and can recommend it to everyone who wants to get away from the hectic life.
Kgalagadi Lodge is certainly the best value for money. The unit is tidy, extremely comfortable and well equipped.
The accommodation was very clean and reception was outstanding. I can't say anything negative about the lodge. They bake their own fresh bread, which is a nice bonus.
A comfortable place to stay with quick access to the Kgalagadi.
Luxury Lodges are great, wonderful view, of surrounding area, in the evenings we were visited by a mongoose and a klipspringer.
I would recommend the place to any person. The service was great. The location perfect and you get value for your money. It is very close to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. All I would recommend is that they warn the people who book to arrange day permits in advance with the Park as well as inform the people that the park does not open for day visitors until half an hour later. Luckily I was prepared but there were people who checked in there who didn't know this beforehand. But I had a great stay and will make it an annual institution.
Very nice clean, large, comfortable room. Close to the Park's entrance, can easily stay here for more than one night.
Our accommodation in the Standard room was perfectly comfortable, very well-equipped, clean, and with attention to detail in the layout. We enjoyed an interesting and tasty snack-dinner in the restaurant: skaapstertjies! A first for us. We will stay here again on our next visit to the Park.
Enjoyed the private ablution at the camp site very much. Will recommend to family and friends.
Great place, next to the Kgalagadi Park. Friendly staff and even an espresso machine in the bungalows! Good restaurant and shop.
We really enjoyed the clean stay near the Khalaghadi national wildlife park. The accommodation was nice and clean with its own braai.
The lodge is nice and close to Twee Revieren and more cost effective than staying inside the park. The unit is very comfortably furnished inside and is also far enough from the units next door. So it's not so cramped that it feels like you're sharing with your neighbors. Had a great stay and will go back there again.
Friendly, neat and safe accommodation. Wonderful sheep's tails and Bok-en-Klok. I can recommend it. Food was delicious. Wonderful sincerity and excellent service. Good value for money.
Good service, we had a good time. I recommend this place to tourists who only have day permits and struggle to find accommodation in Kgalagadi. (Maybe management should warn prospective guests that they need day permits for the park. I had one, but some of the people weren't in the know.)
Clean, neat and excellent service. Truly a very pleasant experience.
Great place to stay, would love to stay there again.
Wonderful family chalet. Enough space.
Well equipped. Value for money. Good restaurant. Very good overnight spot close to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
So nice to see some businesses still have the "customer is king" approach. From the booking time they went the extra mile to take care of my needs, I have healt problems. We recommend Kgalagadi Lodge for each and all! Thanks for a peaceful time at your place.
It was more affordable to camp at Kgalagadi Lodge and to visit the park as day visitors. Also, the fact that the camping site has their own private bathrooms, made our choice easier. Next time we'll book one of the smaller chalets.
We were received very kindly, the accommodation was very neat and well laid out. Very nice stay.
I recommend the lodge to everyone. We camped and every stand has its own very neat and clean bathroom as well as washing up space for your dishes. There is a carport next to your bathroom and it is also neatly paved. Our stay was short but incredibly nice.
The accommodation was excellent and convenient, with a great view and everything you could possibly need available in the shop.
The day we arrived we were welcomed with kindness. We immediately felt at home and could start relaxing and marvel at the natural scenery. Even though we're from Upington, we couldn't believe how beautiful it is and so close we didn't even see it. This weekend brought me and my wife closer together. We were able to talk like young lovers, and steer our conversations away from just work and daily chores. An experience like no other.
This is truly an excellent choice! We stayed here on our way back from the Kgalagadi and will definitely stay here again. The houses are luxuriously equipped with everything needed for a carefree holiday. The restaurant's food was also delicious and the Kgalagadi burger is highly recommendable! Well done to everyone at Kgalagadi Lodge, we can't wait for our next visit.
Had a great stay at the Kgalagadi Lodge. Clean, well arranged with comfy bedding and beds.
From the reception staff to the staff cleaning the rooms were friendly. The cottages were equipped with everything and clean.
The room was clean, modern and extremely well equipped with TV, air-con and a fan. The dining and swimming facilities were beautiful. The staff efficient and friendly. We will in future stay here every night and drive into the Kgalagadi Frontier park daily. Definitely will recommend it to family and friends.
Very well located for day visitors to the Kgalagadi! Very neat accommodation with friendly people and the food at the restaurant is top notch!
Very good and friendly service, clean, neat and beautiful accommodation, excellent location and delicious food!
It is our fourth time that we have stayed here. Will definitely do so again. Nice rooms, delicious food. Excellent client service.
The lodge's people go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, beautiful swimming pool, nice restaurant and cute shop with daily freshly baked bread op the premises. The private ablution blocks are clean and neat in the campsite. It is a 5 minute's drive on tar road to the Tweerivieren gate from the lodge. I camp a lot and can promise the readers that they wouldn't find a better camp site than this one.
See the stars.
Just 5 km from the Twee Rivieren gate! The place is a jewel so among the red dunes with the little goats walking around there and red and pink sunsets. Since we were there in December, the aircons were a blessing. Everything worked as it should and the pool was pretty clean. I will go back to Kgalagadi Lodge again and again.
Highly recommend the camping facilities with private ablution which was spotless.
Beautiful little house with all the facilities, modern and well equipped. Shop well stocked even with fresh produce. Will definitely be returning. Can recommend.
Each site has its own facilities. Large bathroom with luxury appearance and tiled. Shower with very nice shower head. Large, comfortable shower and toilet with sink and wooden bench for seating. Water was always hot and there's also a wash up spot outside. Large covered area outside bathroom that is paved and you can pitch your tent under it! Each site has a 220 Volt electricity point. Highly recommended if you also keep in mind the restaurant with delicious local venison dishes available on site!
What a wonderful 6 nights! Beautiful views of the Kalahari. Friendly and helpful staff. Even though we didn't use the restaurant, it sure would be a nice option after a day of game viewing in the Kgalagadi. Convenient shop on the premises for those things you forget to bring along. Accommodation is clean and maintained on a daily basis. Would definitely go there again!
The unit was beautifully decorated with modern design and fantastic bedding. The store had a large variety of foods including fresh fruit and vegetables. Much better than the adjacent Kgalagadi Park's store. The distance to the Park is quite acceptable and the cheaper accommodation was really worth it. Only complaint was that there was no trash in the kitchen. Only available dustbin was located outside! We highly recommend this place.
We stayed in one of the luxury chalets. Very neat and well equipped. Can recommend it to anyone. Outstanding service as well. Maybe put two stools at the kitchen counter. You have to stand and eat or sit on the patio. That was the only issue!
Thank you very much for a nice weekend! Nice place, sorry your shop is so unaffordably expensive! Adjust prices and you have a winning recipe.
Perfect oasis in the dunes.
We will be sure to stay here again on our next visit to this part of the country.
Was very nice with good service and very close to the Kgalagadi gate.
Wonderful location, affordable, prime accommodation (in lodges). Enjoyed the stay. They have everything available to travellers.
Excellently located, the peacefulness is good for the soul. Starry sky excellent.
We enjoyed the stay and the location is perfect just before the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The staff were very friendly and we will recommend it to everyone looking for accommodation in that area. Thank you.
Pleasant accommodation, well located and friendly service.
It was a pleasant atmosphere between the dunes and red sand. Service was good first day and next day no one responded when we asked for a bin lid. Last night something overturned everything in the trash, I had to go find a cover myself.
I'm not one for many words, the word to describe Kgalagadi Lodge, is awesome. The location and value for money is simply awesome. It's the perfect place if you're looking for a getaway from the daily hustle and bustle and if you want to relax.
We were a family group of 15, big, little and great-grand, and the management and staff fulfilled all our requests without hesitation.
The reception was friendly, the stay pleasant and the food was delicious. The environment is also very beautiful.
Very comfortable, tidy and affordable accommodation.
Great location for the Kgalagadi Park. Good size rooms, clean and well equipped. Pity no soap was provided. Also disappointed that they have a cheap chickory coffee. Thank goodness we take our own Nescafé.
We will definitely be back if we can! Top camping spot, clean ablution facilities and wondeful staff!
The food at the restaurant was amazing!
Kglagadi Lodge is aimed at tourists visiting the Transfrontier Park. It's on a dune about 5 km from the park so you have a perfect view of the big sky, the endless horizons and the tranquility of the old Kalahari. You're allowed to come and go as you please, not like that park regulations, which is awesome for travellers. The accommodation provides luxury and value for money that is not available in the park and it is a perfect overnight spot for day visitors. The little houses are fully equipped with all the modern, electric appliances, air conditioning, DStv, and the best linen and towels. There's a restaurant - don't forget to let the staff know beforehand. But nothing beats a nice braai at the fully-equipped outside braai with the sun dipping behind the dunes. I will definitely be back.
Thanks to the staff at the lodge for cleaning every day. Kgalgadi Lodge is ideal if you want to stay just outside the Kgalagadi National Park.
The location is ideal and their shop is great. Fresh bread is quite scarce in the Kahalari and Kgalagadi Lodge bakes every day.
Nice place to stay, but the Park changed the rules you have to book in advance if you want to enter the park as a day visitor. The lodge didn't notify us and didn't book on our behalf. You only find this out when you check in. We had to ask very nicely to be able to enter the park on the 2nd day after we couldn't enter on the first day. The roads in the park are quite bad around Twee Riviere and the game was sparse.
Good accommodation with everything you need.
What an experience. Tired driving and then arrive at the lovely lodge. Service was fast, als in perfect condition.
It was a nice visit in the Kalahari, most beautiful sunset.
When we arrived at the campsite the wind blew and it started to rain. Although this is a "bad" combination, the result was exactly what was hoped for; it was wonderfully cool and the rain naturally helped that there was no dust. We especially enjoyed the camels and llamas that roam the premises. Since our new grandchild's arrival was brought forward, we arranged with the lodge that we would leave earlier; it was no problem for the lodge.
Very convenient accommodation and thanks for accommodating our late arrival and preparing a meal for us. Friendly staff, thanks again.
We stayed four nights in a standard chalet. Reception was friendly, but the WiFi was not well explained. We only got two codes, and later heard at the restaurant that you have to use the one hour all at once only in the restaurant. After that it costs R50 per hour. It was a bit problematic as I had to be in touch with my business and for short periods of time. The EDGE reception in the chalet didn't help much either - I could get something done at 05:00 in the morning. The chalet (#12) needed some maintenance. The shower overflowed, and they had to come and fix it up to 3 times. Lights were blown, and the door's glass cracked. We also had a nice meal in the restaurant and the shop is very well stocked. It was a very nice time.
The best customer service and hospitality I've experienced at a holiday resort. Thanks to Kgalagadi Lodge's staff.
I will definitely stop by the Lodge again on our next visit to the park. From day one, everyone made me and my family feel at home. It's like a piece of heaven away from home. I would recommend any couple with small children aged 2 to 3 to experience the lodge's hospitality. Blessed in a safe area. Well done Kalagadi Lodge and staff.
We just stayed one night, but would have liked to stay another night or two. It was comfortable, luxurious and a very clean unit. The lodge has a gorgeous location, I liked to stand on top there and look down at the tar road far below. Lovely time braaiing outside and got a good night's sleep.
My wife and I stayed here. We were both very impressed. The quarters were neat and sparkling clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We really had a pleasant stay.
Perfect getaway with friend and family. Equipped with everything in case you forget something, and it is quaint and beautifully apponted. Close enough to the Gemsbokpark which is perfect if you don't want to sleep in the park. I will recommend this place to anyone. It was wonderful.
Nothing negative can be said about the lodge, it was such a pleasure to stay here and will definitely be back. Friendly, helpful staff go out of their way to make everything comfortable at the lodge. Everything is far a way, so the shop is well-stocked with all the basics and the food at the restaurant is divine.
Neat, clean, value for money ─ everything you need to stay overnight or even a few days to visit the Kgalagadi Park.
I'd use this place again anytime. Much better value for money, and so conveniently placed. Just an idea - put a petrol pump in place to help out when the park hasn't got any.
Very clean and well maintained. More than adequate for the Kgalagadi experience.
Very neat and well managed. Will recommend it.
Excellent service. A must visit place!
Great location, service and amenities with friendly people.
Only stayed 1 night on the way to Nossob. Will definitely stay longer next time!
Everything is 100%. It would be nice if the WiFi was extended to the accommodation as well.
Very neat and value for money.
What a wonderful surprise! Beautiful accommodation, top notch food and friendly staff! Thank you! We will definitely come again!
The Kgalagadi Lodge is everything you're looking for if you want to visit the Kgalagadi Park but don't want to stay inside the park. The Lodge is very neat and clean and the facilities excellent.
Absolutely love the place. Starry night as we stand around the fire. If you don't want to cook yourself, the restaurant offers delicious meals. The shop has everything you need and sells the most delicious local meat for your barbecue. Most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the country. Rooms surprisingly spacious and well appointed. Leave your love of the internet on your smartphone at home because you're going to struggle with reception, calls aren't a problem. We enjoyed every moment.
Conveniently close to Kgalagadi Park.
The family cottages are nice and spacious with a larger kitchen and sheltered braai area. We had a nice steak and breakfast in the restaurant at a very reasonable price. Friendly service. I would definitely recommend it to families. They were very helpful in accommodating us for another night in a smaller house.
We had a lovely stay at Kgalagadi Lodge. It's quiet and peaceful. The shop and restaurant are a bonus with delicious food and a welcome cold drink for thirst.
The place was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed. Perhaps some attention should be given to rounding off some of the waiters at the restaurant.
A reasonable establishment with friendly helpful staff.
Ideal place to stay, close to Kgalagadi Park.
We camped and stayed in a chalet. Excellent in comparison. Also DStv for those who need it. Water is hot and facilities are new and neat. The restaurant is good and better than others. Will use them again and can recommend them.
Neat, practical accommodation with an incredible view. Everything you need is available on site. Very well located if you want to visit Kgalagadi park. Road to get there excellent.
From the moment I enquired, I was constantly kept updated of the progress and details of my booking. We were warmly welcomed and the facility was well suited to our needs. I would consider staying here for a few days in the future and visiting Kgalagadi as a day visitor.
The correspondence, reception and location was excellent for us who wanted to visit the Kgalagadi. I believe permanent braai facilities will be added soon enough? Nice stay ove on our way to Etosha.
The lodge is situated very conveniently to enter the Park.
Look, it's one of the nicest little places I've ever slept in - just really hot - but the air conditioning helps. They have a nice mid-sized fridge so your stuff fits in and stays cold. The shop on site sells everything, even ice cream. Hospitality like I've never experienced, helpful. The people make a lot of effort. The place is clean, tidy, the site workers are very friendly. Uncle Kosie, you have a beautiful place, keep it up. They go out of their way. The food is great, the breakfast is too much, the waiters are on their job, you feel like a king there, and the bungalows are just far enough apart that you can sleep like the mummies in Egypt. I like the place, I would highly recommend it. And the Kgalagadi Park is a stone's throw away. It's great. You don't have to drive anywhere, there's petrol too, and it's easy to leave tires on and off there. Petrol cards work there too, but bring cash, in case the power goes out.
Neat and clean room that is excellently located. Coffee, sugar and milk will be welcome as many travelers stay overnight here on their way to the Kgalagadi.
