Sonja and her husband are really beautiful people and the apartment has a wonderful view of the mountains. We really had a great time and closed off from the world.
The house was perfect for our group of people. Unfortunately, the Cape storm cut our stay short.
The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The garden is beautiful and birdlife is a constant source of joy. The place is fully equipped for load shedding so that one does not know about it.
I realize again the great responsibility we all have to preserve our environment and green heritage. Trees, mountains, birds, frogs, animals, fynbos. and water. The clean mountain water was an experience to drink. Thank you that my husband and I could experience the creation. Thank you Sonja and Koos van Zyl for your hospitality and care! We come to Kierie Kwaak again.
However, the unit we stayed in would benefit from some modernization and there was a problem with the plumbing in the bathroom which was not addressed during our stay although it was raised with the host.

Was an ideal getaway place and in such close proximity to the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve for our hike. Gave my daughter and I time to relax and de-stress. There is a stunning area on the property where one can sit at the koi pond and enjoy a meal or a snack, or just take in the serenity.
What a find! Arrived as the sun was setting and the views from every direction was just awesome. The cottage has everything you need to stay for a while and self cater. The bed was comfortable and falling asleep to the sounds of frogs and gurgling water was magic. Tinka the Labrador came to greet and accepted all the hugs you wanted to dish out. I will be back as soon as possible. Thanks Sonja!
Empfehlenswert, wenn man auf Fernsehen versichten kann. There is well-functioning WiFi for this.
I haven't stayed in a place as nice as Kierie Kwaak for a long time. It's close enough to everything, but far enough that you can rest completely. One finds oneself among the mountains, calm and quiet. It's really amazing and I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful nature. It was breathtakingly pretty. The units were neat and convenient. We had a good visit and relaxed.

Warm water is a challenge. It works with gas and isn't very effective. It's sad that so much water are wasted in the Western Cape. I found out later that you should try again if you don't get water within 20 seconds the first time. For some reason the gas flame goes out quickly or doesn't light up. The bathroom was very cramped.
Clean and very comfortable house. Everything you may need is provided. I was quite surprised to find a two-prong wall plug myself when we were looking for one. The cleanliness and tidiness of the unit was striking. Even a standing fan is provided for the heat we experienced. Quiet environment. Place is highly recommended.
Roomy.
Ideal place for a getaway. The mountain stream flows past, it is so green with the beautiful mountain. The shower is a bit small, but otherwise it is very comfortable.

I don't know who organised it like this, but we were 2 single people who were placed in a unit that connects to another one with a family of 5. They made such a noise that we couldn't wait to get away! Also, from 16:00 the afternoon until the early hours there was thudding music coming from somewhere. It was quieter in my office in the city than it was there where we went searching for peace. Also the place is ridiculously small. You have to get out of the bathroom or bedroom in order to change. And there are only two options, either in front of the stove that doesn't work, or in the incredibly small room where you literally have to turn sideways to walk around. The toaster was also very dirty with other guests' cheese and crumbs still on it. Nope. I couldn't wait to leave. Just a pity I had to waste my money like that.
Of all the places I have stayed in Stellenbosch, this is the best. Very friendly and pleasant people who make you feel at home. Very, very clean and tidy residential units. Will definitely make Kierie Kwaak my Stellenbosch stay.
Kierie Kwaak is located in a lovely area and provides for relaxation in nature. The silence and privacy is a big plus. The owner immediately makes you feel welcome - also with her personal contact in response to the booking. All criticism is that the water in the shower is irregular in temperature and supply, but the location and the rest of the practical equipped place definitely make up for that.
The place is ideally located. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful surroundings, but close to Stellenbosch.
Neat house in a breathtaking setting. Had a wonderful time recharging in the silence of nature, especially the back porch with the vegetation and water that you can hear flowing. Thanks for the flowers on the side tables; it gives the impression that the owners/managers are hospitable people and take every visit seriously. Will definitely come again.
There was no welcome by the owners of the premises, and there was not enough clarity where to go. Space of units very small for the amount you pay per night. Moreover, the shower facilities were very bad - either the shower just had very hot or cold water and alternated between these two extremes.
