The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and equipped with everything that would be needed. In a very quiet neighborhood near a large shopping center.
The bed was not comfortable the were no DStv channels. The worse part was the toilet. It was open at the top.
No reception on site, had to wait. Petty, defects in room, but nothing critical. Noisy neighbours, who use crude language.
The room was too small with uncomfortable solid and old bed. Room 1 is not what we saw on website photos, we ended regretting to stay so long in the place, we are disappointed for what we saw.
Just not what we expected, needs to be better bathroom.
Will stay there again.
If you want to break away for a weekend or a week to chill or want to spend the night in Betlemhem I suggest you visit the place, very cheap.
We really had a great time. Joan went out of her way to make sure there were enough grills for everyone. We will definitely stay there again in the future and can recommend the place.

Our overnight stay was very good value for money. We were received kindly, the apartment was very neat and well equipped.
Thank you for the privilege of being able to spend the night here - it only makes the trip even more special and enables us to tackle the rest of the trip fresh. Everything is there that one would expect from an overnight facility. It's also easy to find the place.
Absolutely a beautiful place. Friendly reception and just made me feel at home right away. Joan even asked me after my stay how I was doing and if my arrangements were completed and for me that is 5 star service. When people take care of your needs, you know there is passion and love. Nothing can top it.

We were very kindly received by Joan. Everything was clean and tidy. Not sure if there is WiFi because we did not get a password.
The room was clean and tidy and the hostess very helpful and did her best to accommodate us. There was no heater, one was provided on request. Bethlehem is too cold to experience winter without a heater. Coffee, tea and milk as well as rusks and toiletries are provided. It will be nice to have a curtain in front of the door of room 1 as the outside lights are very bright in the room. We counted on self-catering accommodation and it was really very small for this. The work surface is too small and two people can hardly eat at the small table. Will recommend the guest house for people who just want to sleep.
One request is to place a fan or ceiling fan in room.

Joan went out of her way to accommodate us when our travel plans changed. Even after we left she still called to make sure we were ok.
Very neat, comfortable and safe place to stay. Located in a peaceful part of Betlehem.
Everything in the room is very clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything one needs is there. Linen and towels are of good quality. The location is safe and quiet, the right place if you want to rest. The service was very good and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The electric blanket, was a winner, in the cold Bethlehem. Will use this accommodation again.

Everything you need - modern and beautiful. We checked in late and they waited for us.
It was very comfortable with everything we needed for an overnight stay. There was a small bag, shampoo, soap and cream for each guest, as well as a shower cap. Two towels each meant we had fresh towels in the evening and in the morning. Aunt Joan was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Facilities are clean and adequate, service very good. Rooms and bed very small (e.g. no room for a chair) and no garden in front of the rooms. Feels very cramped, so not ideal for relaxing.
We had a lovely stay, but the place is very small for self-catering. The space is very limited. Place could do with a casserole and salad bowl. There is no table to eat. There is no braai facilities or seating outside. We had to borrow braai from the room next door. The glass door makes the light shine into the room all day long. I suggest that a curtain be hung. The bright light outside makes it too light to sleep peacefully. However, it is a very neat and clean place and the hostess was very friendly.
Feel free to provide more comfortable chairs.
For me, Kihara Guest House was exactly what I was looking for: a clean room, with the necessary essentials, in a safe and peaceful environment and, on top of that, good and friendly service.
