Beautiful green gem near Kosi lake. Very well equipped with air rail. Good bed and shower. Very nice view of wetland where Kingfishers fish. Rich birdlife. Friendly service by owner and staff.
We had a great stay! It's pretty neat and clean, and the staff were very nice and kept checking to see if everything was OK. There were beautiful birds, cute squirrels running around and also a beautiful environment. The restaurant was a big plus and there is something delicious to suit everyone's pocket. Will definitely come again!!

It was wonderful to be able to stay in such neat facilities. Elmerie and her team immediately made us feel very much at home, as did Wollie the cute beagle! Beautiful lodge and surroundings, neat facilities, chalet excellently equipped, provided with all the needs and more. Lots to do in the area, excellent location. Restaurant at the lodge gives you the choice of whether you want to barbecue or eat out! Two swimming pools to cool off in after a day of exploring. Elmerie's gift shop is very well equipped, wide selection if you want to buy something for the people at home! We enjoyed the boat ride with Lucky our guide, extremely competent and wide knowledge of area. Really value for money, would recommend Kingfisher Bush Lodge if you want to get away from the daily grind! Will definitely visit again. Many thanks to you at the lodge, your input does not go unnoticed.

Road is easy with any vehicle as they tar the roads. The meals are also good value for money, especially the delicious fresh fish! We would recommend Kingfisher any time. Although you are not close to the beach, the area is very beautiful and the roads are easy to drive. Annelise and team are great!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher Bush Lodge. The units are very comfortable, neat and well equipped. Very good value for money. However, we traveled from Piet Retief to the Lodge via Jozine. The road was very dangerous and not a pleasant route at all. Think visitors should be warned to only travel via the R22 to Kingfisher Bush Lodge. The roads to the attractions are actually also only for people with a 4X4 and tourists must be notified in advance.
It was a lovely place to stretch out. We could choose to cook ourselves or use the restaurant - prices reasonable and food excellent. Owners very friendly and helped organize excursions. A highlight in our holiday.
Our stay at Kingfisher Bush Lodge was a highlight of our holiday. Elmerie and her family made us feel so welcome. Our accommodation was spotless and perfectly equipped. We enjoyed the meals prepared by Pieter and Annelieze made all the arrangements for our day trips run smoothly. Lucky is an excellent guide and our boat ride on the lakes and canals was something we will always remember. Edwin took us to the mouth and we appreciate the special attention and care and nice chat with our two old people. I don't have enough words to describe our visit here. I can't wait to visit again. Thank you very much Kingfisher Bush Lodge. Keep building like this.
Cute places to hang out at the accommodation. Very clean and tidy and very well equipped. It's a really cute place and would definitely recommend it. Missed the interaction with the owners though. Would also suggest they keep the mongoose away from customers. One of our group was bitten by him.

My husband and I stayed at Kingfisher for two nights while visiting friends in the area. We will definitely come again and spend longer. Friendly and very helpful management. Nice lodge with neat facilities. Lots to do in the area. Sandy road, but managed with "all wheel drive" and "high clearance", don't know if I would tackle it with a car. For activities in the area, a 4x4 is certainly an asset and sometimes a must. From the activities you can make use of transport opportunity as I understand. Can recommend for sure.

I would definitely recommend it was really nice.
The chalets are very comfy, excellent bedding, nicely decorated, the only thing is as they very close to each other, your peace depends on your neighbours. We had friendly and well-behaved people so it was not a problem. The restaurant is good, welcoming and the service perfect with everybody doing their best to ensure clients a memorable stay.
Luckily I drive a Toyota Corolla 1.6 sedan, which substitutes for a 4x2 bakkie, the gravel road is okay to navigate. The tented chalets were clean and had everything one requires. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome and you look forward to the stay. However a concern to me was the walkway picture above, that caught my attention originally, which made me book, this however does not exist. Why? Because the ocean is 17 km away and you need a 4x4 vehicle to get there. On a positive note, the stay was great, met interesting people from abroad.

Tents fully equipped and a feast to stay in. Was lovely to sit on the veranda and enjoy the bird life (counted 17 bird species).
It was really pleasant to stay at Kingfisher for the weekend. We enjoyed the silence. The fact that there was no TV or radios blaring gave us the opportunity to get closer to nature and realize how far we really live from what is ultimately important.
