This luxury farmstay cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and is ideal for singles, couples, or small families. The cottage contains 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchenette, dining and living area. The bedroom area contains an extra-length queen-size bed. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower, and a washbasin. The toilet is separate.
The kitchenette is well-equipped for self-catering with a fridge-freezer, stove, kettle, and cutlery and crockery. There is a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge area contains a bunk bed, cane furniture and a fireplace. A Wi-Fi internet connection is available to keep you in touch with the outside world.
The cottage opens to a private patio with outdoor chairs and a built-in braai. The cottage has a small fenced-off garden. Park your car right by your cottage under a shady tree.
The farm dogs are friendly and love going on walks with you around the farm visiting our free-range pigs, cattle, chickens and friendly horses. We offer horseback trails and pony rides for the little ones.

The cottage was really cosy. We enjoyed our 2 nights. We braai'd and enjoyed the nature. Everything was up to standard. Definitely will come back.
We arrived at 1pm so we could check in 1 hour earlier. Everything was just perfect. Love the 3 dogs and the chickens around us. Nice to walk on the small farm and to engage my kids with the cows and horses. Lovely little cottage. The only issue was that the WiFi didn't work, but we only slept over for 1 night, so not a biggie.
Short dust road was in good condition. Clean and modern cottage in beautiful surroundings. Peaceful overnight stay - well worth it.
My guys enjoyed their stay. The only problem was that it was a bit far from where they were working, but it was not a deciding factor as to whether to stay or not. They really enjoyed it.
Our stay was peaceful. It would be the type of place you come to escape with a book and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the cottage and the farm. Unfortunately, we needed a bit more as we were on a long road trip. We needed working WiFi and a warmer space as we were tired from the drive. We didn't have gas to make tea or coffee. Our stay was short though, and with the excellent service and communication, I'm sure these matters would have been sorted. Thank you for this little oasis.
We really enjoyed it, nice farm, friendly animals and people. I will definitely come again just to unpack and experience nature. Sorry the avos weren't ripe yet.
There are so many birds and insects that you don't see in the city. It was an experience. It was an adjustment for my husband and son, because they didn't grow up on a farm, but they still enjoyed it.
We will definitely come again in the future.

Kingfisher Cottage @ Boschrivier Farm is ideal for a quick getaway to just relax with your family. We really enjoyed it and had a nice walk on the farm. The facilities were perfect for our family.

The cottage is close enough to Plett to drive back and forth quickly. Very safe. Very friendly. Most beautiful horses on the farm. The house is very well equipped and it all works 100%. We stayed four nights. Very private. Thank you Nickie and staff.
The cottage's kitchen was well equipped. The tranquility of the farm, the birdsong and the beauty of the surroundings is a winner!
Definitely nourishment for the soul. Hannes makes the most delicious game and pork products.
We checked in as business travelers and didn't realize the location at first glance. I think for a family it would be a lovely getaway, but it just wasn't quite right for us. Next time we will read more carefully and make sure. The living room / kitchen smelled very strongly of hearth and it bothered us, but fortunately it was not so noticeable in the room. The blankets and bedding were very comfortable and we had a great night's rest. The facilities are probably more for pleasure and family getaways and are not suitable for short overnight business trips. The hostess is fantastic, helpful and has the most beautiful dogs and horses on the farm. We would recommend it for a family break.
