My elderly sister and I did not find this very convenient because there is no parking at the unit. Steep stairs up and down again lead to the unit. However, Liesel was very helpful in coming to help with our luggage. The unit is very comfortable ─ we appreciated the electric blankets, the air conditioning was not available. A beautiful view and conveniently located!
Was very nice, but parking a bit inconvenient for older people.

The unit had everything we needed with a lovely view and a short walk to Bokkom Laan where you can go for a stroll or get a coffee and something to eat at any one of the establishments along the water.
Very vey beautiful place inside and out. Not to take away the most beautiful view ever. The host and hostess are so lovely and welcoming. Restaurants and activities are literally down the road from the place. Definitely returning during summertime!
No. 17 is excellently and tastefully furnished. What is missing? Hanging space (closet). I suggest replacing the shelves to the left of the master bathroom entrance with a double-hung closet. I build cabinets myself, there is enough space for a cabinet. Wendy was not available at the number provided. I had to get the password for the internet from the neighbours. The operation of the TV can possibly be made available on an information sheet. Older people are not good at pushing buttons (joke). The few comments are in good faith and not to be derogatory.
We arrived in Velddrif quite late on the Friday evening and the hostess was very accommodating that we arrived late in the evening. The apartment was very well equipped and tidy. We really enjoyed our weekend.
We had to cut our holiday short after the roof leaked so much that it became unsafe. The owner did compensate us. Just a few suggestions to make the stay more pleasant: coffee/tea/sugar for at least 1 day until you can make your own purchases, soaps in the bathrooms, enough payment power that is already loaded, manual to be able to use TV/DStv, mirrors above the sinks. We had to take out the duvet inner as its fibers were all bunched up and lumpy.
Beautiful, very neat unit, everything you could ask for and more, very good design and use of space, modern, beautiful view and the aircon is too nice for the cold evenings. WiFi would have been nice (because the signal isn't amazing) and maybe a smart TV where you can log into your own DStv or Netflix or just music - the package at the unit doesn't have popular sports channels and so we have the missed game, also would have liked instructions for the coffee machine or known about it in advance, but other than that everything was fantastic. The place in real life is even better than the pictures.
Kingfisher is located with a view of Bokkomlaan's lake. Peaceful surroundings and perfect for rest.

Had a great time, very close to the water and the wildflowers in front of the property were in bloom and were beautiful.
Shower head kept falling out of the holder. We were not advised about procedures for check-in and check-out. Apart from that, nothing can be faulted.
Incredible sunrise from the cabin. Could sleep with the sliding door open, thanks to good mosquito netting. Peaceful and quiet during the week. The automatic air freshener is a problem, don't use it. Get a quieter wall clock- had to unplug batteries. Pack some of the stuff away, there is no work space if 2 people with laptops need power or work space.
Kids really enjoyed it because they could fish while we sit on the porch and keep an eye on them.

This place had a stunning view. People in the area are so friendly. So quite and tranquil. Will definitely visit again.
It is an ideally located site. Lots of birdlife and right on the edge of the Berg River.
I would prefer there to be a reception office. Also that the owner/manager at least finds out during the stay if everything is fine. Second bedroom lacks a mirror. Both bedrooms lack hangers for clothes.
The lack of a reception caused us to wander around until we found the place open and could settle. Perhaps an arrangement with a permanent resident would help. Even though the area seems very safe and peaceful, no clear parking spots are provided for the lower apartments and parking in the open was a bit unsettling.
The bathrooms just very small. Bedside lights were out of order. No extra blankets were available is a very cold week.
Would not recommend for the elderly. There are 18 steps up, then a bit of level and then 18 steps down again and then 80 meters to the apartment! For us as elderly people it was difficult to get up and down to the apartment with luggage! The TV didn't work either, but the owner was very kind to come out in the evening to fix it! Bedside lamps' bulbs didn't work either!

Nice stay, I would recommend it.
The accommodation was very relaxed and very neat. I was very dissatisfied with the parking. We were not allowed to park our vehicle outside our complex. That was a big disappointment as we were not advised initially that there is no parking for your vehicle. We had to park our vehicle away from where we stayed and that made it inconvenient as we had to carry our fishing gear up and down the stairs and we were not able to drive to the rivers edge to fish. We were also not happy leaving all our stuff in the car. Going forward, I think maybe there should be access to the river to park your vehicle right there and fish and also park closer to your unit. Very nice and comfortable apartment with all household necessities, friendly and helpful service from the agent, nice view and the men enjoyed fishing even though they only caught sea grass.

The unit is very well equipped. Maybe the access to the bathroom (a curtain) could be replaced with a solid door? The location by the river is perfect and one can really relax here! We will definitely come again!
This is a great weekend getaway with the family.
The place is beautiful, practical, very neat and definitely recommendable to any person. We could only stay one night, but would like to come back for a longer period.
