Kingfisher is situated on the river bank in the well-known Bokkomlaan, just a minute's walk from the fish houses where the traditional harvesting and drying of bokkoms 'mullet' by local fishermen takes place. A few of the fish houses have been restored and converted into coffee shops and restaurants.
This waterfront unit which has recently been upgraded can comfortably accommodate 4 guests at a time and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. Both en-suite bathroom cubicles are fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. All linen and towels are provided. Uncapped WiFi and a Smart TV are available.
The cosy main living area features a kitchen and a lounge that opens up onto a patio and garden that overlooks the Berg River. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as a washing machine. A braai drum is supplied. Please bring your own braai grid and charcoal.

17 guests' feedbackIt is a beautiful flat with a nice layout for children to also have their own space. Peaceful and lots of birdlife. The kitchen had everything that you could need. We enjoyed the beauty of nature and overlooking the river.
The unit was very nice, clean and everything was perfect. We had a great time. With the private jetty it was also very nice! Would definitely recommend Kingfisher 15.
What an incredibly nice stay. Place is neat and I wanted to steal the bed. Sleep like a dream. Stoep overlooks the lagoon and Bokkom Avenue is a festival. Owner is great. Will definitely go out there again soon.
We really enjoyed the location as we had never been to Velddrif before. It was well equipped with all essentials. Comfortable and cozy for 4 adults.

We really enjoyed our time at Kingfisher 15. The residential unit is neat and very well equipped. It is difficult to access with luggage though and I wouldn't suggest it for an older couple. Access to the front of the ground level units could perhaps be made easier by an entrance from Boggom Avenue?
Very nice, clean and functional place with everything you need. Very private and quiet, with a beautiful view of the river and walking distance to nice places to visit. Friendly service and reception.

Very nice stay, everything the three of us needed, thank you! Parking may be a bit far from the unit, but at least the elderly could get up the stairs with help.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you to stay. We had no issues during our 4-day stay. There was safe parking on the premises, and everything was neat and tidy. The coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer were a nice surprise. You have to take a walk down Bokkomlaan. My husband enjoyed the Bokkoms. We drove out to Dwarskerbos, and the girls enjoyed the beautiful beach there. We also spoke to the locals to hear about fishing spots and baits used. Everyone was very friendly. The use of the private jetty was very nice, as our 4-year-old wanted to cast her fishing rod to catch some fish. Waking up and just looking out of the window was amazing. A view of the river from every window. A very special thank you to Lynn for her super friendliness and assistance. Kingfisher 15 comes highly recommended.
Nice place to visit and a lot of peace and quiet, well furnished and close to everything, the view over the Bergrivier is a plus point with natural beauty.
My children and I had such a nice stay. The place is very neat and safe and perfectly located. Bokkom Avenue passes just in front of the complex, which made it nice to pop into the few shops in the morning. I will definitely go back again. The silence against the city's noise is food for one's soul.
Not only was the stay pleasant but the environment was amazing. Lynn has saved no expense in making her place our place. There is enough space for 4 people and the view to wake up to cannot be captured on a photo - truly amazing. Will we be back? Yes, and will we share our experience with other? Again, a aloud yes. If wanting to kick back is for you and you just want to braai and chill, then book today.
The bedding was lovely and clean. But the general cleanliness needs attention. And a gas stove with a gas boiler will help a lot. Will definitely visit again.
We enjoyed every minute, the braai drum was a little small, but we managed. Beautiful river view.
