The view is fantastic and wonderfully peaceful.
My husband and I went home there for a few days. Beautiful, neat, spacious and clean house with a lovely sea view. The house was very well equipped and very comfortable. The gas stove during load shedding came in very handy. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed and given a map with information about attractions and restaurants.
I was there with my husband, but we had friends from Germany with us and they thought it was wonderful. House very spacious and well equipped. Stay was very comfortable and too short. Hosts very friendly and helpful and on arrival we were informed about all that one can enjoy at Witsand with maps to help us. Had a braai on the large terrace enjoying the view. Highly recommended.
Will vacation there again anytime.
One suggestion is more heating, the house is very cold.
Beautiful view of estuary and sea. Unit is well furnished and kitchen has dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Only downside is if you have neighbors on the upper level then it can be very disturbing, especially if they are loud, because the sound comes through clearly.
We enjoyed the comforts of having a dishwasher, TV and Wi-Fi.
Very very nice place to stay and beach is very nice.
Day after our stay I was asked if we were more than 4 people because there are 6 beds and it looks like 5 were slept in. Yes, I slept in 5, because I snore and get up at 5 o'clock to fish, so I slept in a separate bed than my wife. I was told Barry's Accommodation tries to keep fees low so just wanted to make sure. My suggestion is, lock one of the rooms if it's such a big issue and you don't trust tenants.
The tranquility of the area with beautiful views. The fireplace was fantastic and there is everything you need. Definitely a place to escape to and get some rest.
The location is fabulous for a variety of walks. The quaint town had a few restaurants to enjoy some dinners out. We went in the winter months, but the balcony in a summer holiday would have been great for evening sun downers and a braai.
Beautiful view is spoiled with place that lacks attention. Mats old and dirty. Ask for R350 cleaning, but let you understand that you have to wash the dishes yourself. Large porch, but could do with reclining chairs. Otherwise was reasonable.
