Just a few snapshots from our amazing 3-night stay at your beautiful setting. Spectacular views, open spaces, deafening silence and sunsets for days. This is the memories that we will remember and treasure! Thank you! This was our 1st family vacation in the Karoo and we totally fell in love with Klein Doorn Guest Farm.
Except for (gas heater) which only works so well - if at all.
Our family stayed 4 nights. Had a wonderful time on the stoep, grilled meat and enjoyed the stars. Nice and close to Oudtshoorn to explore the area.

The Honeymoon Cottage is well furnished with all basic items for an overnight stay, with a large and comfortable bed. The fireplace provides delicious warmth for cold evenings! Gas geysers for bath water work well, but are fickle to get going. Instructions for that would be helpful. Remember your own drinking water! The tap water is very brackish, and probably safe, but was colored red during our stay. On clear nights, the night sky will be spectacular because there is virtually no light pollution. Unfortunately (for us, but good news for the farmers!) it rained and was cloudy while we were there, and we couldn't see the stars. The cottage has no power points for charging mobile phones or other devices - solar panels provide all power. Only LED lights with USB connections are available. In summary: highly recommended for travelers who like rustic accommodation in beautiful surroundings, but perhaps not the right choice if luxury is high on your list. We would definitely stay here again!

The farm is very well located to explore the area around Oudtshoorn.
Nicely appointed cottage with all the required equipment for self-catering. Very neat and tidy.
Quiet, remote, peaceful. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life.
Take your own power pack to recharge your phone. Here there is only solar power for the fridge and lights. Accommodation is a bit cold for winter days. Even the stove doesn't do much when it gets really cold in the Karoo.
An awful lot of leaks!
The honeymoon cottage is perfect if you're after the peace and quiet of the Karoo since it is located away from the other cottages. The cottage is basic but provides all one needs. The outdoor shower is great! The cottage is located in the middle of the Karoo shrub. I saw many raptors, some buck and a Cape Hare which nibbled at the grass in front of the cottage. Multiple walks are available on the farm. Highly recommended!
Everything you need for a night or 2. Nice farm atmosphere with very basic facilities.
