It was wonderful, we explored all the small towns right around where we stayed.
Klein Eikeboom Guest Farm was well located just outside Wellington. It is well located to explore the area of Wellington, Riebeeck Kasteel, Porterville, Piketberg, Citrusdal, Ceres and Paarl. The tranquility on the farm and privacy cannot be found in the village guesthouses. The facilities allow to stay there independently for a few days. The WiFi also gives the opportunity to keep in touch and share experiences with others. The unit had soaps in the kitchen and bathroom, toilet paper and towel roll. Even a snack or 2 was quite unexpected. The 5L of drinking water also helps that you can stop there on your first day without having to buy everything. Thank you very much for a nice stay.

It is a beautiful, fully equipped cottage with everything you need. Many extra treats such as water, wood, biscuits, milk, roof fans, air conditioner and many more. The hostess was always just a phone call away. Will definitely visit again.
We had a great stay at Klein Eikeboom. The unit was very neat and we really appreciated the attention to detail. It was very cold during our visit, but the heaters and electric blankets kept us nice and warm. Beautiful surroundings and only about 10 minutes' drive from Riebeek-Kasteel. The unit had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay there again when we are in the area in the future.

Very special experience. Was the 2 of us and our parents. Accommodation very neat. Felt very welcome with the red wine, cookies and dry sausage welcome snacks. Our parents really enjoyed walking on the farm with the cattle.
Would recommend the place. I would have just had an outside light put up from the braai to the kitchen, very dark if you have to walk down to the house. WiFi connected quickly when we put in the password, but never worked. It was quite a problem to call or WhatsApp some of the guests who wanted to come and join us.

The WiFi signal is very weak in the cottage we stayed in and needs to be improved or do not advertise there is WiFi. We still had a great time and made very welcome including the dogs who enjoyed a swim in the dam to cool off. There really is everything there to make your stay welcome and enjoyable including Wellington boots if the weather is wet, electric blankets if it's cold and air conditioning if it's too hot.
We stayed in Cottage Lilli with our Schnauzers. It's so peaceful and surrounded by wheat fields. They have so many bird species there and the calls of the ospreys and owls were a great treat. The little one is beautified with farm style decor and everything we needed is there. There is no TV so you can just rest and walk on the farm and of course explore all the towns in the area.
Great location with beautiful views and lots of space for children to play and discover. Very friendly owners and staff (they even gave us fresh farm eggs!) I would definitely recommend the place and would go back whenever possible. Thank you Klein Eikeboom.

The units are beautifully furnished with everything needed. It's conveniently close to Riebeeck Castle area. There was swimming and fishing in the pond and we were able to feast on blackberries by the river. We were treated to the hospitality of delicious wine and fresh vegetables from the caretaker's garden. Definitely recommended.

We stayed in Cottage Hayley for 3 nights and really enjoyed it overall. The decor is lovely with comfy, modern, yet practical furnishings and a well kitted kitchen with all the basics and plenty extras to suit the environment. The owners are very kind; gave us a complimentary basket of treats, including a bottle of their boutique estate wine and a 5 litre bottle of drinking water. The complimentary pieces of vine firewood (wingerdstokke) were greatly appreciated. The cleaning and oiling of our own braai grids was so helpful. The anti-fly screens on some of the aluminium windows, making them openable, were a blessing, especially on a working farm. Things to improve on if possible: Spotty Wi-Fi reception, especially on the Sunday (too many users on the bandwidth?). Missed having a radio to listen to as there's no TV and was unable to stream radio station magic828 successfully due to the Wi-Fi. The shower water drainage is also quite slow while showering. Also, a fly screen door at the front door, to keep the front door open for more air on hot days would work well. But all in all, thank you for a lovely, restful stay In a peaceful, private setting.

We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing space that Klein Eikeboom had to offer, however, there were so many flies that came into the house even when we tried to keep windows and doors closed. I understand that it is a farm and with many animals, but it was very unpleasant. We stayed in Cottage Kristen which is the end cottage, next to some water system. Every time someone turned the water on or flushed the toilet, it would make a very loud noise next to our bedroom. We could even hear it when neighboring guests used water.
Had a great time at Klein Eikeboom. We used it as a base to explore the area, and it's nice and central between the Ceres Valley, Cederberge, West Coast and Cape Town.
The unit was very neatly and tastefully furnished - we had everything we could possibly need and more. The children were very excited about their own cute hot water bags. It was lovely to go walking and cycling on the farm. The pond was a highlight and we tagged 37 bird species on the farm. The only downside for us is the location of the cottages: near a major road where you can constantly hear the vehicles. Unfortunately, it does detract a bit from the idea of a peaceful getaway, but I also realize that it will not necessarily bother everyone.

The braai is far from everything and it is very dark at the braai area. If it is very hot, like the weekend we were there, the roof fans are insufficient, additional standing fans can be considered.
The reception of Klein Eikeboom is inside the house, which means that the privacy of the visit is hindered.
We were a group of 20 people and all had a lovely stay. The people with children stayed in the big houses and the rest of us could sleep peacefully in the cottages. The people we met from the farm were all very kind and helpful. Lovely place for city dwellers.
The farm has beautiful views. The houses are surprisingly very large and incredibly neat. The "attention to detail" and modern layout (furniture and equipment) can probably only be that of a woman's work. There are nice walking/cycling routes on the farm and the surrounding wine farms are a stone's throw away. Will come back again. Thank you very much.

For wedding at Bartholomeas Klip, this accommodation was absolutely beautiful and conveniently located. Lovely farmhouse! Very neat! Vicky was very helpful and we immediately felt welcome. Thanks for the rusks and sweet / salty snacks, as well as coffee, tea milk etc. Would suggest that more milk be provided for guests staying longer than one night! Especially because the nearest shops are about ten km away. We will stay there anytime!
The accommodation is neat and has everything one might need. After all, this is a stud farm so I suggest you keep the doors and windows closed for the flies. We went for long walks on the farm roads every morning and the landscape was so beautiful. The road noise from the provincial road does reach you at the cottage, but it wasn't terribly bothersome. The people in the second room have to walk through the master bedroom at night to use the bathroom.

We were surprised by the absolutely cleanliness, neat and very well equipped Unit no. 3. Everything one would normally need was there. It is important for us that the outdoor braai is well sheltered and convenient. It was clear to us that special effort was made to attend to guests' needs as fully as possible. Although Klein Eikeboom is advertised as pet friendly by the website, we have inquired with Klein Eikeboom to make sure we can bring a puppy. We have been told that they do not actually allow pets, but will make an exception in our case. We really appreciated it. So our conclusion is that the website's information is incorrect and should be corrected.
We stayed in the old farm house and it was comfortable and the view over the field was nice (although the main road is also visible and audible in the distance). It was fun to braai and relax with our family in the garden in front of the house or walk to the dam. A lovely setting.
Wonderful relaxing time, in fact we booked for another night. Everything supplied. David was fantastic and built the fire for us. Unfortunately we couldn't reach the river and they really need a swimming pool. 10 km from Riebeeck Kasteel with good shopping and wonderful restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at Klein Eikeboom - located just outside Hermon on a cattle farm with a very nice view. Beautifully clean and comfortable with many extras such as snacks, water, barbecue wood, coffee, etc. Will stay there again anytime if we need accommodation in that area!

We had a peaceful and pleasant time at Klein Eikeboom. We appreciated the beautiful views and natural surroundings and miss our morning and evening walks around the farm. While chatting and drinking coffee on the stoep on the last day, we were fortunate enough to spot an owl in the tree in front of our cottage. The cottage is clean and well-equipped. The aircon was appreciated on the very hot days.
Cottage on a farm with a farm road that gets muddy when it rains. Friendly staff, beautiful area. Clean and beautiful decor, but no couch in the living area.
Gate remote didn't work and no attempt was made to replace it so we had to phone to open on departure and arrival back at night.
We were very impressed. They're very helpful. When the WiFi in our original unit didn't work, they put us in a better unit. The location of the farm is fairytale beautiful. In general Klein Eikeboom provides good value for money and lovley accommodation. Will recommend them.
These little cottages really are everything they claim to be. It's very neat and clean and the hosts really did think of everything. The little touches (hair dryer, disposable shower caps, soap, shampoo, rusks with the coffee/tea, wine and cool drink in the fridge) makes one feel pampered and special. The 'guest liaison officer', David, is helpful and funny - a pleasure to deal with! All the staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the farm and the surroundings. The only thing I would suggest is to add pictures to the list of birds you can see on the farm. It would have been fun to walk around trying to spot them!

I recommend adding shelter to the patio with the braai, maybe some canvas on the side because the wind is very strong and makes it difficult to sit outside.

We were so excited to go to Klein Eikeboom because the ad entices one to book. However, the photos are misleading. The dam is right on the R44 right under a massive powerline and the river is inaccessible - we donned shoes and made our way past thorns and litter to get there where huge water pumps roared. The river and dam are about 1 km each from the cottages. The cottages face onto the R44 and huge powerline so not that great a view and you can hear the traffic. We did love the cottage though and its facilities. Staff are very friendly. The cows are cute and we got used to the many flies. I would not book it again, unfortunately as I thought it was right on the dam. Thank you.
The unit was fully equipped and clean, the coffee and rusks a great bonus. The friendly welcoming made us feel at home. The farm's location is great, close to Wellington/ Paarl and Riebeek-Kasteel. Loads of activities to do in the vicinity, but we mostly just enjoyed going for walks on the farm. Saw many blue cranes and it was nice to hear their calls in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay on the farm.

A place for your foot to rest.
Klein Eikeboom is ideal if you like farm life and nature. The cottages are some of the cleanest and neatest I have ever seen. Also very well equipped, everything you need is there. Was a really lovely break.
Our stay was comfortable, clean and pleasant. The peace and quiet of the area was wonderful, but we were a little uneasy the first night because there were no burglar bars in front of our windows, while the other "cottages" did have them. However, we were reassured by the owner that security services visit the place three times a night.
The place is very quiet and very clean. It was just unfortunately very very hot (44 degrees) with no air conditioning. The cattle graze right behind the unit and the flies were very annoying when you open the door and windows. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with the place and it is nice and close to several wineries.

Neat, beautiful accommodaton, but we couldn't find it! The pin on Google maps is wrong and confusing. We contacted the owners and they are aware of it, but this wasn't mentioned when we booked. We had drove around quite a bit befor we found the place. Decor and accommodation is beautiful and neat! Remember to take extra drinking water.
The house is well equipped and neat. The road noise was quite bothersome and by the second day the flies were very bad. Even though it's on a cattle farm they can really make a plan. Seeing as how the houses are not serviced, a dishwasher could have been quite handy.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness as well as the facilities in this beautiful country house. A braai for the men and a hairdryer for the ladies. The tranquility of the dairy farm is good for the soul. I would definitely recommend the place.
There was little to fault with the cottages. The service was always friendly and professional. Apart from walking and fishing in the pond, there is not much one can do to pass the time. You have to take care of your own entertainment. There are enough attractions in a radius of 100 to 150 kilometers, if one stays longer and wants to drive around with Klein Eikeboom as your base. Close to Wellington and Riebeeck Castle; so easily accessible for a bit of zipping around. Riebeeck Kasteel has excellent restaurants and it is a friendly town.
Klein Eikeboom is typical farm accommodation, with a warm welcome and staff who take good care of you as a guest. It is a working farm which makes the stay very interesting. The cottages are nicely clean and well equipped, and David is an asset to the business.
I would just like to lock my bedroom door. There was no key and the lock was locked, so I couldn't even push it.

Farm Cottage Kristilli is situated next to Cottage Hayley. This cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each room and en-suite shower and toilet and another 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room. Additional bathroom access from the patio. A fully equipped kitchen and a patio with a braai area. This cottage is also pet-friendly.

Guests are welcome to bring their bikes to explore the farm and the surrounding area, take a long walk, and see some of the many bird species that frequent the farm. Flamingos, Fish Eagle, and pelicans are regular visitors or just have a braai and a glass of wine while enjoying the beautiful mountain views.
There are plenty of wine and olive-tasting farms in the vicinity as well as many restaurants to choose from. Ideally situated if one wants to explore the Swartland and Boland region.
