This was peace and tranquility from start to finish. The long walks, plunge pool and space to breathe and enjoy the Karoo was what our souls needed. I highly recommend this piece of heaven for a minimum of 3 nights. We will most certainly be back.
What an amazing location out of the big city life, the house is rustic and pretty much off grid with no connection to the mobile network or WiFi. The hosts supplied very fresh banana bread and rusks. Would definitely highly recommend staying at this farm.
Kleinriviertjie is beautiful, Quarta is such a sweet, friendly and hospitable person. Excellent service, quiet, peaceful and such a beautiful place. We had a wonderful stay.
This was our second visit to Klein Riviertjie. She is an exceptional hostess. Klein Riviertjie as well as Blaaw Hoek is an absolute must if you want to experience the best of the Karoo. The place is furnished with everything you could possibly need and is particularly beautiful! We were fortunate to experience wonderful rain and still be able to sit and look at the stars on New Year's. We lost our hearts here and can't wait to visit again!

Booked for my parents and this is what they had to say: An 80 km dust road leads to a destination that draws you into a space in time that makes you never want to leave. This tranquil sheep farm is where Karoo lovers will find solace and release from stress. The visitors' cottage is beautifully decorated with simplicity, cleanliness and attention to detail which welcomes you, and after having spent time there, you know you will be back.

We wish we were there longer to enjoy the quaint cottage, the wonderful hospitality and the peace and quiet.
There are not enough words to describe the wholesomeness of Klein Riviertjie. Quarta is an excellent hostess. The house is wonderfully spacious, spotlessly clean and wonderfully equipped with everything you could need. A delicious bottle of wine and kudu sausage (I'm looking for that recipe) awaited us. There were piles of wood, both for braai and just kindling for flames. The linen and towels are of good quality. The decor is breathtaking with candles around every corner creating a wonderful atmosphere in the evening if you just want to stargaze. I can't remember the last time I felt so safe. Three nights was way too short and when (not if) we go again I'm definitely staying for a week. Many thanks to Quarta and Nicholas for an experience of a lifetime.
Fantastic hospitality. Most beautiful I have ever seen the Karoo and the location is unbeatable. Beautiful and so peaceful.
The farmers in the Karoo are the gold of our country, people with open hearts and care for fellow human beings! We were able to rest wonderfully and nothing was too much trouble for our host. On the contrary, we were treated like good friends and pampered! We were taken care of. The house is beautiful and romantic and off the grid. You are cut off from all electronics and contact with the outside world, but it's fantastic if you want to relax and think about nothing! We recommend it!

We visited Kleinriviertjie on our honeymoon and it was for sure one of the highlights of our holiday. The house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The environment ensures that you can switch off properly and with Quarta's hospitality you immediately feel welcome in the Karoo. We will definitely visit again! The tranquility and hospitality is something you don't come across every day.

Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the accommodation. Guests are required to enquire from the host about the condition of the gravel road before booking.The gravel road is about 50 km long and Klein Riviertjie is about 70 km from the N1.
