I had a very nice stay. Cottage was very clean and tidy and has everything you need. The stoep is nice and big with a delicious braai. The canola was blooming and wheat was a beautiful green, which was a beautiful sight. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay at Klein Wolwegat again.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. The facilities are sufficiently clean and tidy.
It was a long weekend with a level 9 storm warning. The road leading to the farm was washed away and the alternative road out was blocked by a fallen tree and the bridge was under water. So we were cut off for two days. The host granted an extra night's stay for free due to the weather. Very grateful for the excellent service. We were kept informed all the time, no need to panic until we could depart. Thanks again for excellent service.
We had a very pleasant stay and the flowers in Stanford were spectacular. The fireplace was very welcome but does tend to allow smoke into the unit, which gives a bit of a smoky smell. Otherwise, a great stay.

What a beautiful hidden gem! Thank you to Mariaan for her hospitality and for taking extra care of us during the storm. We had a wonderful and restful stay, and it was a great experience as we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary.
On a stormy winter weekend, Mooie Uitsig was our warm and safe haven. This cottage really included everything we could need. We were able to barbecue on the porch, and lit the fireplace every night for a cozy fire inside. The farm yard also had a lot of space for our little ones to kick balls and play outside.
Stunning view that I would like to see in canola bloom time. The farm is beautiful and peaceful and the solar power certainly spoils you a lot. Would definitely recommend the place for peace and relaxation.

Cottage is compact and comfortable. Wood for fireplace much appreciated. Warm blanket for cold nights. All the cutlery and pots, microwave, double plate with oven stove, kettles: we lacked nothing. Host and hostess friendly if we ran into them, concerned about our well being.

Beautiful cottage on an equally breathtakingly beautiful farm. The peaceful atmosphere and large patio are just the right medicine for relaxing and leaving the hectic city life behind. Marianne, our hostess is a bubbly, vivacious woman and welcomed us with open arms. On this farm and on this cottage's porch one can grow old peacefully! We would 100% recommend it.
We really enjoyed the weekend there, we were very well received and it made us feel even more at home. Our view of the valley from our cottage was something special, with the sun setting and flashing in the distance (nature pretty much entertained us). The house itself has nice space and everything you need and it's pretty neat. We will definitely want to come and stay there again.
We stayed 2 nights (Friday and Saturday night) in Doortjie's Stoortjie. The hostess and host were not at home when we booked in after 14h00, but they sent us the gate's code, directions and rules via Whatsapp the day before. A worker gave us our unit's key. Klein Wolwegat is a working farm. This unit was close to a storage (a few meters) and a gate where vehicles went in and out, so there was a bit of noise with the farm operations and activities. After 16h00 there was dead silence and no more activity. The beautiful unit consisted of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms en suite with a kitchen and fireplace in the middle. The queen-size bed was made up with very good quality white linen, as well as an electric blanket for when it got cold. The bathroom was large with a nice shower, sink and toilet. The water was quickly warmed up, for a lovely shower. There was hand soap provided as well as a bunch of white roses from the garden on the sink. What was a bonus (and you get this very rarely) is a plug near the mirror. Just a pity the mirror was so high that it was difficult to blow dry your hair because you couldn't see yourself. Maybe the hostess could put a loose mirror in the bathroom or perhaps behind the door? This will solve the problem. The kitchen had a large fridge, two plate stove, microwave oven and all crockery and necessities to make your stay very comfortable. There is a fireplace for cold nights and rainy days to make it nice and cozy. The long covered patio had a table and chairs as well as a large outdoor braai, the host provided a crate of wood free of charge for your convenience with your first braai, there was also wood for sale at a very reasonable rate. The view of the mountains from your porch was beautiful. The mobile reception was very poor, there was no WiFi and no TV. We enjoyed the silence with all the sheep bleating and birds whistling. The unit does not have air-con, it was very hot, the Western Cape had a heat wave at the weekend and a fan would have been much appreciated as it would also help with the many flies and mosquitoes. There was Doom provided. The host came to greet us on the Friday evening and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed this beautiful accommodation and will definitely come back again in September when the fields are green and yellow with the wheat and canola, we can recommend Klein Wolwegat.

Unfortunately a lot of dirt roads, we got a flat tire, so again just ready. The accommodation was excellent.
We were at a wedding and of course got lost but they helped us so nicely to get to the cottage safely. James received us very kindly and made us feel very welcome. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

What can one say? Apart from the fact that Klein Wolwegat's accommodation is functional, tasteful, clean, tidy and comfortable, the view is breathtaking and it's in a brilliant environment. If you cannot shut yourself off here from the world outside, you must find fault with yourself. The owners are kind hearted people and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable and unforgettable. We consider ourselves to be "well traveled" people and Klein Wolwegat is definitely in the Top 2 places where we have gone. Klein Wolwegat is a must on anyone's bucket list. At Klein Wolwegat you arrive as a guest and leave the farm as family.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, I would definitely recommend the accommodation. We were in Mooi Uitsig (one of the cottages) for the weekend and as the title says it is. We have never come back as relaxed as we have, it is very very neat quiet and peaceful. We definitely feel it's worth the money and would really recommend it to anyone who wants a little break from the hustle and bustle of life to come and pay a visit here.

We spent the night at Klein Wolwegat after the Haarkapperroute walk. Accommodation was clean, tidy and very nicely furnished. After the walk, the view from the lovely patio was further enjoyment. Excellent reception from owners. Really 5 star worthy. The rusk with the coffee was delicious.
According to our host James, it's just as beautiful in winter and also in September with canola fields as far as the eye can see. Wonderful patio with a beautiful view. We will definitely come here again.
Upon arrival Mariaan greeted us with this huge smile on her face and welcomed us to the cottage which made us feel right at home. Even tough we travelled for some appointments during the day, it was a blissful return to the cottage.
