Braai facilities lack attention and trash cans have not been cleaned. Furthermore, no complaints.
Dirty kitchen and bathrooms.
The house is great and has so much potential! We had a lovely visiting weekend, there was enough sleeping space and seating for everyone. The lounge areas are great, although we had to wipe down and clean everything first. The house definitely needs attention and renovation. The cleaning team lacks training, there were still dirty oven pans in the oven from previous guests. The glasses were dirty in the cupboard. Handy Andy and a can of paint will certainly do the trick. There are only 4 porridge/pudding bowls, we had to take turns to eat breakfast. The glasses are also few, you have to use what you get. The curtains' linings were torn. The towels are really rough, they have bleach stains on them. Clean linen and spare pillows in a clean linen closet will be welcome. I understand the horses graze around the house when guests aren't there, but the manure piles are really a problem, we couldn't play ball or frisbee, the manure was just everywhere. Maybe it can just be picked up in front of the house? We would really like to visit again when it is renovated!
Large house with enough relaxing and entertaining areas. Lapa and braai area next to the river is a plus. Will definitely book there again.
We celebrated my mother's 70th birthday at Kleinbos with family. The house's location is private and safe. The house is fully equipped, and the porches and living areas are comfortable, and the indoor fireplace was great for the cold evenings. There is a large lawn where we played various games. Definitely bring fishing rods because the river is so tempting, as well as the boma picnic area by the river. Our family enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Many thanks to Johan and the website.
Although the facilities are very good, they need urgent maintenance and attention.
The house is equipped with all the necessary amenities. There are a variety of visiting areas which make it ideal for any weather conditions. The location is very beautiful and it is a nice getaway. There is a very nice fishing area, ideal for carp and yellowfish. The house and visiting areas are cleaned daily which makes it very convenient for a getaway.
Place was full of cobwebs, few glasses, cobwebs in cutlery drawer. When the bathtub was out of tap, water spilled onto the floor. The price is too expensive for what you get.
We had a great time. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful fish caught.
We absolutely loved our stay, it was secluded and equipped with everything we needed. The boys loved the fishing and the ladies enjoyed just relaxing listening to the river and nature.
We had a wonderful weekend in the beautiful Vredefort Dome. It is truly a beautiful place to go if you want to get away from the city lights. A nice farm feeling with the sheep and goats that graze near the house. It is nice and quiet and you can appreciate the natural beauty in advance. We also had fun fishing. Johan also communicated well with me about how everything works and what to expect. Would recommend to anyone. We will visit again for sure.
Our family of 8 spend a week there over Christmas and as beautiful as the place is, is just felt dirty. For example, on arrival, there was a dirty dustbin in the kitchen, reeking of fish. On making the reservation, we were told that there would be cleaners every day, which did not happen (she came in only once). This was okay - we did the dishes, etc. - but the overall feel was just "unkept". Basic things lacked, such as bath and basin plugs. The geyser in the kitchen does not work which I consider to be a basic need. But the biggest frustration was the very noisy floor of the upstairs bedroom! The creaking when anybody dared walk, kept the occupants upstairs as well as downstairs, awake. This place is so beautiful and the photos are a true reflection - with some hands-on management, it could be amazing.

Quiet and beautiful surroundings with excellent facilities for a pleasant visit. Johan immediately made us feel at home upon arrival. Will use Kleinbos Game Breeders Guest House again.
