Wonderful comfortable lounge with gorgeous views, well stocked kitchen, great dining area and outdoor space for multiple activities, great access to sea rocks and walk to the beach and harbour road.
Our stay was lovely. We enjoyed the close-range sea view. It was raining throughout our stay, but it was certainly the most beautiful time. We nestled up by the warm fireplace, watching the waves crash and the sea sway back and forth. Wow, it's really a breathtaking view. The walk through the nature reserve was exciting for the kids and adults. We loved that the house was fully equipped and everything was comfy. It was like a home away from home. Lastly, we got stuck in Kleinmond an extra night due to the roads being closed and the owner gave us that night for free. That was extremely kind and considerate. We loved our stay.
Friendly reception. Walking distance to walking trail leading to beautiful beach. Lovely fireplace for cold evenings with a very nice view.
The house should not be compared with modern accommodation. The location was breathtaking. Everything you need is provided for in the house. The advert is misleading. It should state what is not provided. I.e WiFi. DStv etc. Preoccupation the house could have been cleaned. I.e. Curtains, dusting etc. The bedding was clean though. There is also a leakage at the bottom of the kitchen sink. The owner should fix that. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.
It was nice to break away to Kleinmond. Nice sea view is good for the stress.
The house has an incredible view of the sea. Is neatly furnished, in a 1990s style with very old heavy furniture and a closed kitchen. Everything you need is in the house, it's like going on holiday in someone else's house. Everything is there, comfortably furnished with what you need. Kitchen items in the house are used, neat, clean items. Rooms are spacious with lovely bedding. The living room is comfortable. The deck's fencing is practical, but not child-friendly for children under 7 years of age. Access to the house is very easy for anyone from the street as the property is not fenced. The suggestion we would like to make is that a gate be put up before you can go up on the deck. It will also help that small children cannot just run downstairs. Security measures are in place with an alarm and beams when you are not at home. The dishwasher in the kitchen is very convenient, but we definitely missed a washing machine. It was very nice for our whole family, 7 adults and 3 small children, to be able to stay here for two weeks.
The location was ideal for walking and close to the walking paths. View is beautiful. This is a spacious old house that could do with some upgrading.
We have an incredibly nice time behind us after our stay at Kleinmond House. The house is on the older side, but without "frills", clean and tidy. The location is very good and the house has a beautiful view of the sea. The children had a large, grassy green lawn where they could run, play and cycle all the time. We would definitely recommend the place. Very child-friendly!
