33 guests' feedbackPeople, if you are looking for rest for your soul in the Karoo among its stone cups, then Klipheuvels is the place. We arrived late in the cold at the farm, where Maureen was very kindly waiting for us and soon showed us how they get the nice old coal stove going in the room. Apart from the bitter cold, we really enjoyed the visit. We used the accommodation as our base to then get to know the county better and drive the dirt roads between the Karoo towns. The care for guests shows in the details. More than enough towels, biscuits, coffee, tea, milk, wood and the decor. We were also spoiled to drive around the farm together to the water points for the sheep and to the view on the mountain over the entire county. We are very much looking forward to going back to the farm again. May it be well with you. Greetings.

A very neat and tidy farm. The accommodation is just as neat with everything needed for a short or longer stay. Very friendly hostess who made sure we had everything we would need. Full strength WiFi also available.

All the facilities work and are in good condition. The hostess goes out of her way to accommodate you, but gives enough space and silence so that you can take in the surroundings yourself. It's wonderful to stay on the farm and experience the daily activities.
A bit of a challenge to get to Fraserburg, 100 km dirt road from Sutherland's side, which a car can't drive. From there to the farm was easy. People very friendly and the place's preparation was excellent. Wood, chocolate, porridge, coffee and everything you don't necessarily expect in a self-catering place.
We had a great stay, it's a beautiful peaceful place. Well equipped. A place where one can breathe and recharge. Good start to a new year.
Very modern and clean cottage (Steen Huisie) in picturesque farm surrounds. The cottage has all the modern conveniences and a characterful woodburning stove that works a treat on cold winter nights. We would have preferred a closed/private toilet (it's situated in the bedroom, only screened by a half wall), but perhaps we are old-fashioned in this respect. They do have another guest room attached to the farm house, but it's unclear from the photos whether the ablutions are private or not.

The accommodation and the farm are clearly well managed, and all kinds of attention was paid to smaller details, and the people were very friendly and helpful. The farm was even more surprisingly beautiful than in the photos.
Owners Maureen and Gert have created a gem here. Just enough space for two and everything extremely stylish and tidy. Thank you for a wonderful evening at your farm! Actually, one should spend about three to five days here to really rest.

The owners - Gert and Maureen are fantastic people of heart and with such an attitude we know they will go far with the farm as well as the guest house. The houses and accommodation (apartment) are well laid out and very clean and tidy inside. The farm setting is clean and tidy.

The owner has exquisite taste and the cottage was private, cosy and warm with lovely little extra touches, like juice for the morning and delicious hot chocolate. It's the most quiet place I've stayed, extremely peaceful and relaxing for body, mind and spirit, including the most friendly cat ever - thank you!

The house was beautiful, newly restored with everything needed for a pleasant stay for 2 people. It was bitterly cold when we arrived and the owner immediately lit the cute wood stove and within minutes the whole house warmed up. We could even cook our dinner on the stove. The shower water was deliciously hot even in the cold temperatures. We will definitely visit again and next time just do a long weekend. Many thanks to the friendly, hospitable family.
Nicely decorated with everything needed. Neat farm yard, everything is well taken care of. Nice barbecue place. The cereal, yogurt and freshly baked muffins were a delicious treat!

We slept wonderfully in a very clean, tidy room, very friendly host and wife, delicious breakfast snacks and biscuits. Will definitely go again. Also go look at the fossils again - Martinus Kruger is an expert tour guide and plays an important conservation role.
Maureen's taste and attention to detail are excellent, and it shows in the beautiful space she has made. A wonderful oasis to rest, with lovely space to walk and explore the hills and landscape.

It was a pleasant surprise to spend the night at this farm. Everything was clean and tidy. Plekkie was well equipped for our short visit. The farm is in a beautiful setting and the owner is very friendly and hospitable.
