A delightful old stone hotel with a fascinating history, it's just on the border of the Eastern and Western Cape. It's on the main road yet the traffic noise is hardly heard, the road was quiet while I was there. Beautiful views of farmland with an interesting garden and farm stall shop. Such friendly hosts who were both attentive in checking up on me.
The Kliphotel is very conveniently located on the R62 and offers an ideal overnight option if you want to explore the area.
We had a very nice stay. Barry and Elmarie received us kindly and told us something about the background of the place.
Very nice stay. Everything that was needed, and the people were very friendly.
It was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The owner was very friendly, telling us about places we could go and which route to take.
Barry was very hospitable and accommodated our late arrival time. The shower light didn't work and there was no hot water but otherwise okay for an overnight stay. The description said it's on the Garden Route in the Tsitsikamma area but it's on a very different route about 200 kms off the Garden Route so double check the location before you book.
Nice place to play outside for kids, but nothing inside, not TV or games. children had to sleep in their own room so no family room.
