Kiepersol is a stone cottage nestles among Kiepersol trees in the hillocks of the Suikerbosrand and is ideal for a small family. Taaibos is a is only accessible via 4x4 vehicle or bakkie. Blinkblaar is a secluded house that offers beautiful views of the Suikerbosrand hills and grasslands.
All 3 units are equipped with feather duvets and fireplaces. The units have no electricity only solar and gas. Each unit has its own braai facilities.
The farm has 17 different species that includes black wildebeest, springbok, zebra, blesbuck, jackal, duiker, steenbok, mountain reedbuck to name a few. Other activities on the farm include game viewing, hiking, bird viewing, swimming in a dam and cycling.
Accommodation is provided in 3 self-catering units. The units are all approximately 1.5 km from each other.

We were welcomed by a very friendly host who made sure everything at the unit was to our satisfaction. During our stay, the host checked up on our wood supply to make sure our evenings would be warm. The unit we stayed at, Taaibos, was in a stunning location. Quiet and peaceful place.
It was a very nice relaxing weekend. Ideal for getting one's family back together and playing games like Rummycup, Jenna, bingo.
A few nights get away whilst attending a sailing competition on Vaaldam. A bit of a drive on farm tracks but the feather duvet makes it worthwhile. Back to basics and brilliant stars.
Kiepersol cottage is like a blast from the past. No electricity, no cellphone reception and back to basics. It is a fantastic break away from everything. My kids absolutely loved it. There are great well-marked trails on the farm that lets you feel like you are deep in the bush. My son just loved the cottage and the paraffin lights and the huge fire pit. What an awesome place.

Celeste is very friendly and welcoming. Klipkraal has a beautiful setting with space to walk around on the farm, Any issues are sorted out professionally and quickly. A great get away. We have 9 year old and 24 year old daughters and the place was perfect. We had booked at Taaibos but stayed at Blinkblaar due to low water levels. Celeste was very proactive in phoning us ahead of time and offering alternate accommodation which had more space. The cottages are well equipped and comfortable. it is a lovely setting for getting back to nature and a digital detox.
Who would have thought that you can get to a place so quickly where you can switch off completely and relax properly, it's always wonderful to visit here.

Klipkraal is a rustic experience that offers a wonderful break from real life. We had a lovely time around a fire and listened to the nocturnal animals while the stars shined down brightly on us. It's tijerlantynjie free but you won't lack anything. The hiking trails lie between beautiful green hills but should definitely not be underestimated, so keep a good sense of direction while walking.

The nicest weekend ever! It is lovely for us city slickers to spend some time at Klipkraal. Not even the cold bothered us, thanks to the nice fireplace inside. I will recommend it to anyone that just wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The house is so neat and clean. It was a weekend that we will remember for a very long time.

Our time in Blinkblaar came like wildfire after the lockdown. The cottage is remote, well laid out and spotlessly clean. The decor matches the location perfectly. The hiking trails on the farm are lovely. We stayed comfortably together as six people with all necessities for cooking and living. The braai area makes for a nice place to hang out. It was nice to know we were off the grid, but I would recommend that those who want to use their mobile phones take a power bank with them. Thank you for your hospitality, Celeste. You will definitely see us again.
We stayed in Taaibos. Romantic oil lamps, fireplace, hot tub and bed and no cell phone signal. There is Vodacom signal about 30 meters from the house if needed. Did the panorama walking route, it's 12.5 km if you walk from the Taaibos cottage. Nice views. Lots of dirt roads to explore on the farm by mountain bike and there is a good, quiet dirt road at the farm gate to ride if you want to put more distance on your bike. Will definitely go back again.

The owner is very friendly, the place is perfect if you just need a break to sit around the fire and just enjoy the quiet of nature.
Restful, restful and restful. A place where you can hear the birds sing and the jackals call. The Klipkraal house is cosy and warm with the indoor fireplace and the beds comfortable and warm even though it was extremely cold outside. When we arrived our teenager daughter wanted to know what she was going to do for our 5 night stay at Klipkraal as there is no TV or electricity only gas and solar lights. By the end of our stay, she like my husband and I all wanted to stay longer - we really had a good restful holiday at Klipstone Guesthouse.

Wonderful view over the whole farm with comfortable barbecue area and peaceful atmosphere. Lovely clean and tidy little house with everything you might need for a lovely relaxed weekend. Clean and fresh bed linen and towels, nostalgic paraffin lamps for the evening to stimulate the atmosphere. What more could you ask for a weekend getaway and relaxation. Large variety of trees in the beautiful field. What a privilege to have it shared with our villager. Not to mention the starry sky in the evening! A delightful experience that begs for more.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blinkblaar, it's an incredibly peaceful break from our busy life at home. The cottages are well furnished with all the necessary facilities and accessories and are very comfortable. It was great to enjoy the night life without the TV, we even heard a fox calling as we sat by the campfire. The sleeping facilities are top notch, we slept so well that we are now ready to start the week after the time in Klipkraal. Thank you Maurice and Celeste for sharing your little piece of heaven on earth with us!
