Neat and beautiful and location by the Limpopo River is special, but the room is small and the hum of the water pump 24 hours a day is disturbing and noisy. Thanks, but no thanks.
Beautiful rooms with communal living area at the covered lapa, great for a group staying overnight. Good security.
The 'self catering' was a problem because we were traveling through Botswana; I didn't see it on the web page. However, the hostess helped with barbecue suits and ready-made barbecue sandwiches, wood, etc. thank you very, very much! The dirt path to the lodge was a bit 'high' for our vehicle. I would definitely recommend and stay there again in the future.

Klippan River Lodge is an absolutely impressive accommodation option and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. David was on hand to settle us in and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. If I travel in that direction in the future I will definitely not look for other accommodation. Klippan is for me! Highly recommended!
I will definitely recommend Klippan River Lodge to anyone wanting to overnight before going into Botswana or travelling back to SA. The lodge is situated as you exit the border post, very convenient. The lodge was way above my expectations, I only arrived after dark, David the security guard was very helpful and friendly as was Leon the following morning. I was blown away with the view from my room the next morning overlooking the Limpopo river. I would definitely suggest you arrive before dark to enjoy a sundowner in the tranquil surroundings.
The directions to Klippan were pretty clear and the reception was friendly. The residential unit and other facilities are very neat and have everything that is needed. We stayed there for a wedding in the area and would have liked to spend a longer time at Klippan to enjoy the surroundings and facilities. It was very dry but I think it will be beautiful by the river in the rainy season.

This 'lodge' is the ideal sleepover if you travelling from or to Botswana. Pity is does not have a pool or restaurant.
We came from far away (600 km) on our way to a wedding. However, we could not check in on time and therefore we could only go there after the wedding. The people were very friendly and accommodating to help us so late. The shower was leaking from all sides right through the bathroom. Overall it was a good experience.
Klippan River Lodge is a nice, secured place to overnight.
