31 guests' feedbackOur stay was very nice, just a shame the hot water (gas geyser) was a bit of a problem.
We went with 6 teenagers. We enjoyed the tranquility and the beautiful river view very much. The cottage was well furnished and everything one needs is there. They also have solar and gas geysers, so we didn't know about load shedding. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The guys who were fishing were able to pull out quite a lot of fish. The kiosk has delicious food that is very reasonable. They might just refurbish the slides a bit, because they are very rough and the children grind a bit. But beyond that, it's a gem of a place to rest your soul. We will go again for sure.
Place was definitely not pre-cleaned. No power during loadshedding.

It is easy to find Klipspruit River Resort. You arrive with friendly service, clean facilities and ablutions. Perfect for an overnight stay whilst travelling and also when visiting NAMPO.
The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Cabin was clean on arrival. The rain was less enjoyable and made the dirt road difficult to drive with a low vehicle. Had a good rest.
The stay was very nice and value for money. We were received very kindly. Just had a problem with some of the deposit money being held back due to supposed van that was gone which we didn't even use at all.
I didn't enjoy it at all. The units are old and impractical. My unit luckily had a bathroom, the others have shared ablution blocks. It's very hot in the units and the carpets are inappropriate for the type of area (just a broom to keep clean). I would recommend that the units get at least tiles or wooden floors and then also a "mounted" fan or roof fan if possible. Will not visit the place again but for fishing lovers it is probably ok. The kids enjoyed it quite a bit.
Lovely, clean resort with the friendliest workers and guests. They have a kiosk that does nice quick takeaways, there is also a bar that overlooks the river and the prices of both are really affordable. It was a big disappointment that the water park was under construction and it was not mentioned. We will go there again and I will definitely recommend it once the water park is ready. There is a lot of potential at this beautiful resort.

It was very nice. The dirt road was badly corrugated in places, especially for ordinary cars, but a large part was in good condition. We were received hospitably, the unit was clean and tidy and despite Free State's cold we slept nice and warm. Klipspruit is nicely located if you are going to Nampo and looking for a place to stay.
Dirt road only slightly rough to the campsite, can't really complain, otherwise it was perfect!
We had a wonderful time, it was so relaxing and the staff were very friendly especially Ronald, he was always busy trying to make everyone happy and making sure everyone's needs were seen to. We will definitely be going back.

The place is clean and tidy with good mattresses and bedding. A faucet for brushing teeth and kettle water, as well as a table for suitcases and kitchen work in the house will be handy. Luckily I called a day ahead and we were prepared for ablution blocks, yet we were not aware that all 6 sleep in one room with 3 double beds. I think a few pictures on the inside would have prepared us.
Only the air conditioning in the unit did not work and there was no qualified person to attend to it. None of the slides worked even though they were advertised as working.
The forest camp in which we would stay is impassable due to rain. We were then moved to a better standing place with an ablution block. There was no hot water because the geyser was faulty. It was fixed later, but then wash and wan hot water. Our little one-year-old daughter had to go to another bathroom in the cold, of which there is also only one on the other side of the camp. Our bathroom was so full of spiders and cobwebs on Friday night that no one wanted to go in there. Then, the people fishing were drinking and making noise all night next to our tents, so that it was really not a pleasure.
We had a great time relaxing. The ground surfaces are just not nice enough to camp as a family next to each other and the ablution facilities were very poor, there were very few toilets and showers and you were lucky to have water to shower or hot water. The people are very friendly there and I believe they will be able to work on the problem areas.
The units are unequipped and not suitable for a family. The site looks like a scrap yard and I cannot recommend the resort at all. It's a shame because the location offers incredible potential.

Can definitely be recommended. Very safe, lots of room for a lively 3 year old to run around. Unit was spotless, everything you need. Little shop on the premises is very convenient and the fact that there are improvements being made regularly (even in the rain) was impressive. Will definitely go there again! We were a bit irritated after we had to drive the miserable road between Parys and Bothaville, but after 5 minutes at Klipspruit we all just relaxed. The men enjoyed the fishing tremendously and the kids enjoyed the swimming pools and slides.
My friends and I stayed there when we visited Nampo, so I can't really comment on the facilities or the area. Basic accommodation, but clean and well equipped. Helpful and friendly management and staff. That was the highlight.
They can pay attention to the following: mark the stands, taps that work, mosquito repellent in the evenings, local clients make use of the shop and then walk through the camp and swimming area, where do you turn on the washing up place's lights? Road to the resort: if it rains - stay away! Directions to the resort is a big detour, we went the much shorter route and also dirt road as per the directions. Shop and take aways needs to be advertised on the website! Best: shop and bar are opened on request whenever you want to! Workers are very friendly.
We had a wonderful time in the chalet. The gas geyser produced more than enough hot water for everyone and I was surprised by the beautiful facilities. The chalet was clean and neat, and the rivier view is amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. I like the facht that there are more than one pool and the children had a ball in the play park. Also convenient for fishing since distance from the chalet to the fishing waters is very small. Thanks for the LekkeSlaap-getaway. I recommend it to friends and families who need a getaway.
