Assistant was available immediately with turning on my fireplace. I felt safe on the premises. The food was excellent. The service at the restaurant top notch as well. I can't complain at all.

Stated over for a night. Had a good time, with a nice dinner at the main restaurant. The bistro was closed for a private function. The rooms and general resort could be cleaner; ceilings and bathrooms look like they need a deep clean. WiFi is very slow.
From start to finish we had problems with reception. Rarely was the phone answered. First, the key to our room did not work. When we wanted to order drinks, no one answered and my fiancé had to walk all the way (very far) to get drinks. There demand their cash, would not accept sign of on the tab. No water in unit when we arrived. Bedside light kept flickering. Just couldn't get hold of reception! Very poor service for 5 star.
Sorry to say it's a 5 star lodge and spa but I don't think it's worth the money, have been to many other 3 star places that offer much more value for money. The furniture in the room was very damaged, carpet in the room was quite creepy, and hot water did not last too long in the shower. The staff is very friendly and made us feel at ease. Went to eat at the sports bar one night, ordered pizza, they came to inform us the dough for the pizza was ready, but they made a plan, they will make dough from scratch for our pizzas. It took quite a while, but didn't bother us too much, there was rugby to watch and beer to drink. They prepared a bottle of wine and a biltong and nut hamper in our room to say sorry for the food taking so long. So their customer service is off the books! And we didn't catch any fish.
The bathroom had mold, the customer service from front end staff was nothing short of appalling! 5 star is an overestimate, they should have nothing.
5 star at its best, worth visiting.
May be far for older persons to walk to reception / dining hall especially if it rains. Dinner is from 19:00 which is a bit too late and breakfast is from 07:00 which is also too late for business people who have to drive to clients. WiFi signal is a bit weak.
Time was too short to evaluate all the activities.
There is only one place to eat due to the conference. It doesn't make sense that teenage daughter couldn't go for foot treatment at spa if it was empty. And no person to give information about amenities. Had to drive to Glenburn Spa for spa. Every person who is friendly was a waiter at a buffet dinner. For price and value, no what.

We stayed here for a wedding in the area. Nearby, easy to get to. Service is great, rooms are beautiful.
We really enjoyed Kloofzicht, but were disappointed in the menu at the bistro. Being the only place to eat while there, the meal selection was limited to salads, pizzas and burgers. I'm a vegetarian and the only option was a Green Goddess burger, which was really good, but I couldn't exactly eat that for both lunch and dinner 2 days in a row. On the positive side, when requested the chef did prepare a pasta dish for me. I do understand that they have only just reopened after lockdown, so will give them a second chance. The spa was great (same menu though). Ditch the dead pot plants, not what you want to see when you've come for a spoil. Rasoul therapy is supposed to include calming music and essential oils. What we got was a glorified steam room. The massage was great.
Stay was good! Dinner and breakfast also very nice. I personally think that the rates are a bit expensive compared to other places that offer the same.
It was for our 15 year wedding anniversary. We asked to make our table beautiful at the dining hall. They did nothing. Their bathrooms at their dining hall are incredibly dirty and the toilets are clogged with toilet paper extremely unprofessional. No one greets. Their food was disgusting, the meat was still terribly raw. We left all our food. No what, much more expected from such a beautiful place.

Kloofzicht was one of the nicest weekends. We enjoyed the spa, went on a hiking trail, did fly fishing, and of course the food was top notch. You are in nature just 15 minutes from the city. It doesn't feel like you're near Johannesburg.

Friendly welcome. Resort very nice. Dirty dishes next to the pool from the previous afternoon still noticed the next morning. The rest was excellent and beautiful.
Accommodation was 5 star with peaceful atmosphere! Top notch food and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot air balloon experience! Will recommend for sure.
Absolutely crazy about the place. Will definitely return. Restaurant offers a delicious 5 course meals. We had fine wine and cheese next to the dam. Beautiful place!
Only disappointment was you very poor fitness centre. I hope that it will improve and many working equipment be installed. I found the few equipment there was out of order.
