What a wonderful guest house! Vienna is a very nice hostess. We stayed in one of the porch rooms and had a door that opened onto the porch with beautiful views of the town and mountains. There is also a lovely swimming pool. There is no breakfast, but a meal voucher is provided so that you can have breakfast at 8 Feet in the pass just outside the town. We had a wonderful stay.
It was excellent: a beautiful property, very clean and welcomed with heart by Maria.

Brilliant. I'd like to live there permanently. Two comments: 1. A hand rail in the shower for older, not so steady folk, would be brilliant. 2. The shelf in the shower is way too high!
We had a great stay at Kloovenburg. We took the whole lodge for the weekend with a bunch of friends. It was an extremely hot weekend, so the pool was very well used. Everything worked perfectly, the service was amazing, and the rooms were comfortable. Thank you for a great stay. The free breakfast at the restaurant was the cherry on the top.
We thought that the standard had deteriorated since we were there in 2022. Minimal toiletries, very little supply of milk, coffee and tea. Only enough for one cup each. Rusks of poor quality. No DStv. We did not want to drive out of the village for breakfast. No atmosphere, so big and impersonal. Very limited breakfast and type of coffee. We had to pay extra for our coffee. In the past, we had an excellent breakfast in the heart of the town with a good atmosphere of the buzz of solo studio.
We had an incredibly nice stay. The gardens are beautiful and with the showers of rain falling on the tin roof while we sat on the veranda drinking coffee, it was truly food for the soul. We relaxed like royalty. 10 out of 10 for Maria who is very friendly, and keeps the guest house so clean and tidy that one would think she is the owner of the guest house. She is clearly very proud of her work. Definitely one of the Top 3 places we have stayed, and will stay again. Definitely recommend!
Wenen, our host, is one in a million and she made us feel really special. The room was comfortable and clean. It had all that we needed including the use of a shared kitchen. The location is beautiful and quiet. As an extra to our stay, we had full-body Swedish massages which were absolutely great. Well done to our masseuse.
Kloovenburg Guesthouse made us feel so welcome. On arrival they offered us one of their bottles of wine as a welcome gift. The view is very difficult to put into words. But you look out over the whole area with the church here in front of you and the mountains in the background. Very quiet area. Receptionist went out of her way to let us in a little early to get ready for our function. Very good experience.
Guest house is beautiful. Centrally located. Maria was great. We arrived late, the fire was burning. Room was perfect. Large bed, crispy clean linen. Great shower - large, good pressure and hot. Wooden suspended floors are noisy, as they always are, but we were the only guests, so no issue.
The house is decorated beautifully however it is extremely cold inside. We built a fire in the dining room as there were no other fireplaces — it didn't really warm up the dining room, the rooms were freezing — no underfloor heating but the beds had electric blankets. The breakfast wasn't great either. Outside-only venue and it was very windy and cold. I think it would be stunning in the summertime.
The accommodation is perfectly located to explore the beautiful village.

I love the historic town of Riebeek-Kasteel and Kloovenburg Guesthouse is comfortable and beautiful with an old-world feel. Take time to visit the Royal Hotel and the Klooveburg Wine and Olive Farm when in the area.
Really a place to recommend, very quiet and ideal for a wedding, travel or just holiday. The rooms are big and have everything. Nice bathrooms and everything works. The 8 feet restaurant is a must, and breakfast was excellent. The place is five star.
We were lucky enough to have the guesthouse to ourselves. We had the double room and it had everything we needed and a few extras! We really enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine, breakfast and biscuits. We will go again for sure.

Our time away was luxurious. The hospitality and the spacious space are a great treat. Definitely the best way to get to know Riebeeck Castle better.
We received a room upgrade without asking for it. The whole guesthouse is in magnificent condition, with a lovely garden and a very nice swimming pool. Very nice staff, would always come back.

Kloovenburg Gastehuis is a beautiful building. Some of the original doors, windows and floors have been retained which makes it special. The location is great and the gardens around the guest house are beautiful. The swimming pool on a hot day is a welcome relief. The guest house was clean and tidy and the rooms well equipped. The reception was friendly. Will definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at Kloovenburg Gastehuis, the house is very well equipped and the decor is beautiful, early morning view from the porch was very outspanned. Breakfast at Krunge in die Bos (Kloovenburg wine and olive farm) was also very nice, beautiful "venue". We can definitely recommend it and will definitely return.
Lovely historic house with great view. We sat in the garden until late. Beds incredibly comfortable. Friendly hostess and nice coffee and tea. The house is very well equipped. The living room has a lovely fireplace. Secure parking. We can definitely recommend it.
