The owner, Karmen, was very friendly and we were impressed by the large generator on site. It was also appreciated that the Wi-Fi worked during loadshedding. The second morning of our stay, the gardener was mowing the lawn. We were awake but we thought it was a bit early making a noise so close to us.
They ticked all the boxes and their friendliness was a cherry on top.

Our host was lovely, she met us and showed us around the accommodation. The unit had everything we needed for our overnight stay. It was clean and neat and the beds were comfortable. We loved the outside space as well, perfect to sit outside to eat breakfast or have an evening drink.

Knightly Self Catering is a nice place to spend the night - just far enough from Johannesburg to sleep over if the last leg from Queenstown to East London doesn't want to be done in the late afternoon or early evening. The room is small - we used room 4 - and it might just be too small for two people who want to stay longer than a day. We were very well received, and in the midst of load shedding, Karin and her husband still made sure that we were comfortable. Recommended.
We stayed overnight in Queenstown. We were impressed and pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The room was spotless, and has a beachy vibe. It was the small touches that really made it special.
I was very impressed and so was my spouse.
Karmen is an outstanding hostess and welcomed us kindly and made us feel very much at home. We especially appreciated the good quality bedding and towels. The gardens were neat and we could sit on our private patio and relax after the long drive. Thanks Carmen!

We only slept over on our tour of the Eastern Cape. Everything was perfect for what we wanted to use it for.
We stopped over on our way to East London. The service was very friendly and helpful. The units (we had 2 units) were beautifully clean and tidy. Safe environment with easy parking even with a pram. We would stay here again.
