We slept well, the host was very welcoming and friendly. However, the place is not very clean, the host was kind enough to give us a room with its own bathroom, apparently what the website does not mention for other rooms at the place is that there is a communal bathroom. The shower area was extremely dirty. Almost mouldy. Very disgusting. We did not shower. The kitchen is very dirty, the place smells of mould, the coffee mugs are all stained and smell of mould. The bedding was very dirty and stained, the blanket on the bed had patches of yellow stains and was very disgusting to use. The owners should invest in cleaning the place up, it is a very nice place but very dirty.
Everything worked - except the shower drain which was blocked.

The wooden structure makes for very little privacy and the double bed matress is very very old. I decided to sleep on one of the bunk beds instead.
Pictures and description on website not clear. We booked a 6 sleeper and thought it was 2 rooms. 1 big room on first floor. Had senior citizens with the group that can't climb stairs. N2 lodge accommodated us in the 8-sleeper ground floor unit which was appreciated. Still, 1 room 1 shower. Also ran out of gas so couldn't finish breakfast on second day. Accommodation will be fine for a family group that don't mind sharing 1 room and it is quite central to harbor etc.
The room was tiny and I had to sit on the bed as there was no chair.
I was shocked to find out that no alcohol is allowed to be consumed on the premises. I missed that during my booking. However, people did consume alcohol at the braai area while busy with a braai; maybe they had permission. Please install an extractor fan in the toilet/bathroom since there are no windows.
Amazing staff. Was happy all the time. Definitely recommend to everyone to stay there. Easy to get there. The rooms were clean.
Had the best stay wit friendly available staff always willing to help, very neat and clean and very peaceful.
Only problem I had was the noise of the cars and trucks passing along the road.
We booked into one of the floor units. It was almost impossible to sleep with the people sleeping above us, the units were separated by wooden floors. After our first night's frustrations, the owner recommended us to two other units that could make our time more pleasant the next night. We really appreciated it, thank you. Beds were comfortable. It is a cozy place. Basics are provided (coffee, milk, towels. ), full DSTV was included in our first room. Wifi is on when power is off. Bathrooms are nice but spoiled with the drains smelling. Don't know if Knysna has a problem. There is a large kitchen that everyone can use, it is kept very clean.
Unfortunate that this prime spot is located next to the N2 with a lot of traffic noice, which is a bit disturbing. The staff is friendly which made me feel welcome.

The lady was helpful and friendly. The noise over the weekend, the ladies came with their friends. The Wi-Fi was not working properly.
The place is cool, peaceful, quiet and clean.
Very noisy environment, especially in the festival season. Maybe it's better if a group of people book all the rooms together, because otherwise the other guests will keep you up late and make noise again in the early morning. Bathroom was also not 100% clean.
Not big enough parking area. Staff are not the friendliest and most helpful.
It would be great if you knew exactly which room you were placed in at any location from the website before paying a deposit.
I booked the Knysna N2 Lodge on behalf of my parents and they loved it. They enjoyed every moment and couldn't get enough of the fact that it was close to everything. The owner and staff were very friendly and they felt very comfortable and at home. They will definitely recommend it and will go back again.
It was perfect for us, low budget yet neat and spacious with everything you need. And located on the main street.
The place was not really maintained and was not tidy at all when we arrived. Only after we called was the place a bit tidied up, especially the communal living area. The caretaker tried her best but the owner will have to take a better look at the place. We were supposed to stay a week but just left after 2 days.
I suggest that if the traveler is older or has a lot of luggage that they stay on the ground floor.
The place was very comfortable although a small bar fridge inside the rooms would work better than the communal kitchen. Not everyone is equally comfortable sharing a kitchen. The information on the website is also not the truth. The place does not have capacity for 80. At least the WiFi was free although it didn't work. This is a place to sleep and drive the next day, not to stay for a few days.
Beautiful place and the lady there is nice. I checked in at 01:00 am, and she opened for us without complaining.
Small litter bins in each room and in the bathrooms should complete the picture. Our stay at Knysna N2 lodge was the best
We were greeted by a hostess in night clothes. She showed us the room, which is not the room we booked. We were under the impression that we had booked two separate rooms, but this was not the case. We spoke to the owner and she then gave us two rooms. When we went up to unpack, there was a man laying and looking at shabby material in public. We did not feel safe and immediately arranged other accommodation and demanded one night's money back.
