The house consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house sleeps 8 adults and 4 children comfortably. There is an open-plan dining room and a fully equipped modern kitchen. Outside on the large deck you can relax and enjoy the beautiful bush view. Watch the animals such as giraffe, kudu, zebra and impala as they roam freely in Marloth Park, while enjoying a braai on the gas grill.
We are a popular stopover for tourists travelling to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland, and Mozambique, offering a chance to spot four of the renowned Big Five. The park interior remains unfenced, but is it is separated from the Kruger National Park via a fence and the Crocodile River. Two entrances can be used to enter the Kruger National Park, namely Crocodile Bridge and Malelane. The advantage to Marloth Park being so close to the Kruger is that visitors can enjoy the convenience of exploring the park, while having a less commercialised area to come back to at the end of the day. Due to the lack of fences, visitors are encouraged to explore Marloth Park at their leisure with bush walks, self-drives, and bicycles. We also offer guests tours on arrangement.

20 guests' feedbackMarloth Park has relatively easy access to Crocodile Bridge gate at the Kruger. The staff at Crocodile Bridge were very helpful and efficient. Koekoek had everything that we needed but could perhaps do with a few loadshedding lights as we had loadshedding two or three times a day. The aircons work well for hot days and the pool was refreshing. We were a group of 8 people and there was more than enough glasses, cutlery and crockery. 4 bedrooms, one with a double bed and 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds each. They had enough bath towels which was also nice. Two fridges were also much appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go again.
Nice. And a dream for a city person. Peaceful nights.
Koekoek Guesthouse is really great for families with small children. It's always a worry bringing kids into a place that is so wild, but the house has a great enclosed outdoor area where kids can still interact with the wildlife and be safe, this was a huge plus for us with my 4 small grandkids.
House not cleaned. Aircons only in 1 room. 3 Rooms without aircon. Braai facilities pathetic. TV doesn't work. Bathrooms only a small loose mirror.
It was really lovely visiting Koekoek Guesthouse. The house is spacious and fully equipped with all the necessities. We all enjoyed the pool and the surroundings. It was a lovey experience.
The house is spacious, there is enough space for a large family. The owner is very helpful, even delivered us gas for the barbecue on a Friday night. Thank you for letting us stay in your house, will definitely go again.
The house was neat but not completely clean, 1 room's light didn't work, only one fan worked for 2 rooms.
She would call security that we are making noise even if we are not.
House very spacious and comfortable. Accommodated our large group easily.
Will definitely book here again. Was really nice.
Loved our stay, would definitely go back.
I'm aware the place is in the bush but the house is in desperate need of fumigation. The braai needs to be replaced. It fell apart and my husband had to wire it together. Cleaning is done on a surface level. Pictures on the site are in desperate need of an update as these give a false expectation. Why is there a need for the fence around the pool area? It does not keep anything out and makes you feel very closed in.
We as a family of 8 adults + one grandchild of 2 years enjoyed it very much at Koekoek Guesthouse. The place is nice and big and spacious, clean and nice and cool with the high roof, and it was very peaceful there. Everything was just right and nice. The house is also tastefully furnished and has a lot of space. We saw many animals there like the kudus, ibex, piglets, impalas, ostriches and giraffes, and all from the back porch which was a big bonus for us. I would really recommend the places to anyone and I myself would go there again. Many thanks to the owner for making the place available for us to enjoy the feeling of the forest.
Was home like my own home.
Koekoek is a great place. Great location close to the river. I'll recommend it to friends.
Value for money for a family getaway with all the amenities you may need. Quiet and peaceful, close to the Kruger National Park. A nice fire place would be a good addition.
We had a great time, if the owner wants to improve they can offer cleaning services, there was no toilet paper on arrival and cleaning supplies were scarce (broom, mop etc.). Coffee cups are very small, otherwise it was a top weekend.
Was very excited about visiting. Had to make a lot of calls and wait a long time to get keys though. Lovely facilities, but struggling with keys on arrival and departure left a sour taste in the mouth.
This is a nice big house but needs some attention. We will definitely go back again. The house just needs a braai area where you can make a nice fire. Thank you for responding so quickly when we had problems.
