The Kogman & Keisie Guest Farm is ideally located at the foot of the Langeberg Mountain. Imagine staying on a small organic farm on the Route 62, bordering a 2000 ha nature reserve, yet a mere stroll away from the charming Montagu town centre. The name of the farm is derived from the dramatic Kogmanskloof Gorge and the modest Keisie River that meets here.

Accommodation comprises 2 self-catering cottages and 5 guest house rooms. All of the rooms and cottages are stylishly appointed, each with unique features. They are serviced on a daily basis, giving guests more time to relax or explore. A hearty farm breakfast is included in the rates for the guest house rooms.

Kogman & Keisie Guest Farm is an organic farm where the owners take pride in working with nature. Guests are welcome to explore the farm where they will find some olives, pomegranates, vegetables and herbs, all amongst lavender and bees. When taking a stroll, you might just bump into a handful of sheep, ducks, geese or faithful hens that provide fresh eggs daily.

During the hot summer days, guests can cool down in the swimming pools or wait for the sun to make way for the unsurpassable Karoo night sky, to the whisper of the windmill turning in the lazy evening breeze. In winter, keep cozy and warm and witness the sun colouring the early morning mist with an array of orange, pink and yellows.

Joy made us feel very welcome. Montagu is one of the most beautiful, cleanest towns in the country. Lots of walking and jogging places, cycling routes and beautiful mountain passes to ride. The town itself is stunning. 22 Church Street a must to eat. Excellent food.

What a special place in a special town! The amenities are even better than what I have experienced in certain 5-star accommodation units. A warm welcome by Tannie Joy made it feel as if I had come to visit family on the farm, you immediately feel at home and you have the freedom to explore the whole farm. In a file in your room there is a goldmine of information about farming, the village's history and a variety of activities in the area. If I had known this in advance, I would have booked for more than one night. I would definitely recommend you to anyone planning to travel through Montagu.

"Nice rooms, neat gardens and farm yard."

The rooms are neat, and the service is good. The gardens and farm yard are just really untidy. I understand that this is an organic farm, but they could really tidy up and cut the grass etc. One expects this from a guest house that charges more than R900 per person per night. I also don't understand the purpose of the barbecue on the patio, if there are no barbecue tools. Nowhere on the website do they mention that they are so close to the main road - one would expect that if you pay for premium accommodation and the milieu is created of a reserve and organic farm, that there would be no "road noise" .

"Memorable with a twist."

Enjoyed the stay generally, but noisy as close to R62. Lovely room and dining area. Great breakfast. Can see the place is slowly evolving. A little overpriced for what was on offer.

The location highlights the beautiful mountain backdrop but neglects to inform of the national road directly adjoining the property. Road noise was a detractor. The rooms are of a good standard but the rest of the farm is untidy and unkept as though the owners had lost interest.

Kogman & Keisie's rooms are very stylish and comfortable. The owners and staff are friendly and happy to help with information about the area. A delicious breakfast is served on a veranda with a beautiful view.

We traveled with a 2 year old and she really enjoyed the farm life of Kogman and Keisie. Nice and quiet and opposite the town, so close to everything you need. Can recommend it for sure!

"Outstanding service, location and picturesque area."

Petrus and Leane turned a beautiful farm into a wonderful guest farm. The farm is borders the nature reserve and there is easy access to the hiking trails. Delicious breakfast and the owners are warm, friendly and know they know the meaning of hospitality. The 5 dogs are part of the team! The rooms are well equipped - maybe just add an extra blanket. We were comfortable but I reckon it can get quite cold in winter.

Wonderful guest farm, nicely isolated on the edge of town! Stunning walks and hikes straight out of the back gate, as well as around the farm and the town. Beautiful lodging, friendly hosts, great service and value for money. Highly recommended, will definitely be back!
