21 guests' feedbackRelaxing after a long day's travel. Had a very comfortable night's sleep and felt refreshed for the next day's travel.
The lovely countryside, comfortable cottages, interesting and 'smart' garden, good rates, and Mr. Samson's input to make our stay comfortable, was a special experience. Indeed a great experience in the beautiful Karoo!
Beautiful and unforgettable.
Samson received us kindly and showed us everything. It is a particularly beautiful place, an oasis in the Karoo. Very well appointed with everything you need.
Very nice stay. Samson, the caretaker, is very helpful and very friendly. Was a very nice trip for me. A beautiful village.
We had a very nice time in Merweville at the "Kom kyk Cottage", the service was excellent and the cottage was clean and very comfortable. The tranquility of the Karoo is something else and the people of the small Karoo village are all very friendly! We will definitely go again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay at Kom Kyk Cottage, enjoyed every moment. We were kindly received by the host and a lovely dog, Busta, who lives on the premises. The place is extremely clean and tidy and had everything available that we needed and even more. Next time we can pack lighter! Our children enjoyed it just as much; the labyrinth packed with stone and more than enough play space on the yard, which overlooks the river course and the beautiful church. Would definitely have stayed longer if we could. Thank you very much for everything.
We had a nice stay. Basically just slept there. First night the mattress was uncomfortable, but that was fixed. Mentioned the hostess and they changed the mattress for the second night. Great service, thank you. A gem makes everything great.
We had such a nice stay and will definitely go there again. The host went out of his way to make us feel at home and to be helpful. Everything is so clean and tidy with the most beautiful garden.
Enjoyed the quaintness and history of the cottage. Solomon was very sweet and helpful but not intrusive. Thank you Chantal.
What a soul-enriching few days in the perfect gem of a place!
Very nice and Sanson was champ.
Very nice stay, quiet and clean. Very good road 43 km from the N1, only 25 minutes drive.
And great that they had Wi-Fi! Attentive, on-site caretaker and friendly host.
We slept over on the way back from Cape Town to Bloemfontein. It's a lovely place of tranquility. So many interesting places to just relax. Everything was extremely neat and Samson makes sure you have everything you need.
Kom Kyk is for those who enjoy an authentic Karoo experience.
Cottage is perfectly furnished. Very clean and tidy. Environment beautiful. Old world charm.
Value for money accommodation and what a lovely town it is. Samson and his wife who is host/wife are wonderful people. Can't wait to visit again. Was a lovely relaxing weekend together with the Lamb and Olive Festival.
Quiet and enriching. Something else.
Samson and his wife are from Malawi and they really took very good care of us. They both were very friendly, and helpful and quickly responded to any questions / missing items we could not find in the cottages. We appreciated the fact that this was "pet-friendly" accommodation.
The cottage is bitterly cold. It was considerably warmer outside, even at night when it was already cold outside. It can really do with some form of heating that warms up the inside of the cottage. The assistant was of little use, vanishing every time he was required.
