5 guests' feedbackWe had a great stay at the Kon-Tiki house. The locality, amenities, and size made our stay a very enjoyable one.
We loved both Kon-Tiki and Elands Bay. The tranquillity and raw beauty were very special, and we loved the house and outdoor area. We will come back. My only recommendation would be to add a microwave oven to the kitchen appliances.
Because Elands Bay is not a mainstream tourist destination, you can rest easy, yet it is close enough to Lamberts Bay, Strandfontein or Veldrif for a day trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was exactly what we were looking for for a few days to rest. The accommodation was excellently clean.
The cottage is not intended for 2 adult couples because one bathroom has to be shared and it's a bit uncomfortable to have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night while the other couple is already sleeping.
Audrey was amazing, friendly and helpful. However, we had a problem with no power, no backup power except for a few lamps, no cell reception, and after 2 hours, no WiFi. They should really look at getting either an inverter or solar panels. The gas geysers were also a problem as it will be hot for a few seconds and then cold. Most of us had cold showers. Otherwise, the house is beautiful and well appointed.
