Was an adventure to stay at Konings Cottage. Kids loved it so much. The outside lights didn't work and the one that did doesn't give enough light outside. The showers' water pressure wasn't great, but manageable.
We frolicked in the hot tub while all the roads around us washed out, little knowing what the storm was. Perfect place for a break away from everything and everyone, just to recharge the batteries. The owner of the farm helped so nicely with alternative routes. Lovely people with a heart of gold. We had a great time and can't wait to go again.

Great little gem in the middle of nowhere! Perfect location, a great little house with a much-needed hot tub for the winter days and nights. No cell service, at all.
Very nice stay there. The house is nice and warm, even though it was cold outside.
The accommodation was clean and neat. Little extras were delightfully welcome! Crisp clean bedding and comfortable beds! All the necessities for an enjoyable stay! The hot tub was a bonus. I was overjoyed that the wifi and TV didn't work! More time was spent riding the bicycles, kicking balls and playing swing ball with the youngsters! Lots of lovely clean air! We never got to go for the hike. Only means that we will have to come back again!

We definitely went over-prepared for our stay here. The place has everything you need and a bunch of the smaller extras like coffee, rusks, firelighters, fire wood and all! Very pleasant stay, very secluded and very safe.
Konings Cottage is stylishly furnished with quality towels and linen. Attention is paid to small things, e.g. board games and lap blankets. Well maintained and clean.

Would highly recommend Konings Cottage! We felt safe, the house is lovely, is neat and have everything you need. We loved the jacuzzi and the stoep. We will definitely go back!
We were a group of 6 girlfriends. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the place and all the amenities it has. We felt very safe and really enjoyed the beautiful finishes of the house. The outdoor area is definitely where we spent most of our time, in front of the large fire pit and in the hot tub. In the evenings just before we went to sleep, we enjoyed a nice movie on Netflix. The poor signal ensures that you put the pesky phone aside to just relax, but we did appreciate the WiFi when we wanted to connect with the outside world. Will definitely go back again!
All our expectations were exceeded, to proteas on the table. Equipped with everything you can think of. Lovely beds. Just a pity the house sits against the road and even if you can't see it, you can hear the vehicles.

Highly recommend for a weekend break away. The place was clean and has everything you might need.
The flowers, milk, biscuits, tea and coffee were a welcome touch. The inside lounge area seating is tight but the large verandah with outdoor seating, table and braai lends itself to migrating outside at every opportunity. We enjoyed a wonderful walk at Platbos forest which is in close proximity but mostly soaked up the tranquility after a busy week at the office. Enjoyable. Recommended.

I wasn't able to take a warm shower all weekend due to the place not having warm running water. I enquired about the Jacuzzi and wasn't advised that it's a wood-fired Jacuzzi. Which we could've prepared for. There was a complimentary bag of wood however no axe to chop the wood. I'm really not happy about the amount of money I paid and the service I was given. I would like to be compensated based on the fact that I could perform a basic human need which is to have a warm bath or shower.
Would highly recommend. Anny is awesome, we were allowed to book in earlier and check out later. Cottage has everything that you need, and the space is great for kids to run freely. The hot tub is a bonus. Will definitely come back!
