I had a very nice stay.
Absolutely fantastic stay! From friendly and helpful reception to departure was amazing.
Quiet, tidy house walking distance from the sea. See you again soon! It was nice for all 4 of us to get to know each other and chat together.
We really enjoyed our time there.
Very nice stay. The place is spacious and tidy and everything you need is there. The shower could do with a rainshower head.
We had a great stay and the environment was just what was needed to rest.
Very nice stay, peaceful. Misleading about sea view. Builders a bit noisy.
A very nice place to stay for 4 big people and with the beach just across the road it makes it even better.
Had a great time on the porch and so close to the beach that we could walk down and walk along the sea.
Garden needs attention. Nice stay.
We were 3 generations and had a fantastic time. I already tried to book for December but it's fully booked.
Fantastic view. Close to everything. Everything we could need was available in this unit. It was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again.
The house is perfect for a family of 4. We had a great time. The house is very well looked after and the view of the sea is on your doorstep.
Just two things - there were no extra toilet rolls. We were only 2 people so it was not a problem, but had there been 4 it would have been. There was only hand soap in 1 of the bathrooms. The only negative about the place is that the front faces onto the main road and we constantly had people walking past trying to see things - I know that is a problem in Paternoster but it was rather annoying.
Suggestions: maybe just put in load shedding bulbs, 2 bulbs are insufficient. Packing of footwell unprotected in the sun. Other than that, great stay.
We are having a great time in Koos Nap, but there are possibilities for improvement. With all the power outages, a gas burner and better solar or battery lights would be a plus. Please place more washing-up liquid, dishcloths and drying cloths in the house.
Yes, I would recommend, but the person staying next door (owner?) has a dog that whines when he goes out, so that wasn't enjoyable to listen to. Also, if you want to water the plants, refrain from walking on the porch in front of the unit. It's disrespectful to your tenants, albeit just for a weekend.
Was our 1st time in the Western Cape and it was totally ruined by the accommodation, which absolutely shocked us that it was being offered as holiday accommodation. You just never want to be there. We literally ran away every day to avoid sitting in an oven and just smelling smoke all day and grilling for this Wendy house of a place that was supposed to be a vacation spot as they call it. Then, on top of that, there is a permanent lodger who constantly pokes his nose into people's affairs and wants to know everything and just walks in your door and it is hidden in the photos! Bad service with fraudulent photos. Place was dirty! We cleaned it all ourselves because we were sick of people's excuses and didn't want people under our feet (because it was supposed to be clean) and on top of that it was already so uncomfortable with the babysitter watching you all the time through their window and overhang to check what you bought at a store today and keep asking where were we today. Stay in Paternoster's agents management are truly uninformed (or think they are stupid) and clearly just want to make money off people regardless of how bad a place looks or is. Even the pots and kitchen things we had to wash because they were dirty and full of food pieces. WE preferred to eat out and stay away from the filthy kitchen! Would you who read here stay and be happy in such a place? They rent out shacks for 14-day vacations, but it's just hell and discomfort. You have cured us of ever visiting Paternoster again or to say anything good about this area. As far as I go I tell everyone to stay away and beware of the scammers from Stay in Paternoster.
Space to hang laundry will help a lot, especially with children. A drying rack will suffice.
Very neat, comfortable with everything you need. Lovely location.
Love the 2 bathrooms.
Koos Nap is a lovely 2 bedroom cottage, decorated in a beach cottage style. It is very spacious with a large living room, well-equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. It has a stoep with gorgeous views of the sea. There is an indoor and outdoor braai, DSTV and wifi. I thought it was very good value for money. It was clean, neat and comfortable. The caretakers lives in the adjoining unit. There is not much soundproofing between the two properties. He is very friendly and helpful, and it is good to know he is around keeping an eye on things, as there is a problem with opportunistic crime in Paternoster. Don't let that put you off though! It' a beautiful village, you just need to take the usual care in not leaving your valuables in sight.
Was in the house. Everything nice clean and tidy.
Unfortunately, there is an influx of unwanted persons to sit and walk through the open ground next to and behind the house. One cannot sit outside on the stoep without being harassed. It's quite uncomfortable. Bitter, bitter, pity the picturesque town is going through so badly now. Maybe Koos Nap should get a gate in front.
Beautiful view of the ocean and so close. Peaceful and nice.
Very nice house for 4 guests.
Very peaceful to holiday in Paternoster. Very peaceful village to stay in and a breathtaking view of the sea. Accommodation walking distance from the sea.
Cottage is beautiful, two bathrooms which make it very nice. The house was clean and tidy and the beds nice and comfortable. Lovely to sit on the veranda and look out over the sea. Conveniently located, you can walk to everything in the village.
Will definitely stay there again, love it.
The location and atmosphere are excellent. View of the sea and the distance is so close that our daily walks on the beach were wonderful. Our live-in neighbors were hospitable and always helpful if we wanted to know anything! Will definitely come here again.
Good location near the beach.
We had a very comfortable stay. Kitchen has everything one needs for a peaceful holiday. Neat house, close to restaurants and the beach. We will definitely come and stay again!
Some of the most beautiful coastal towns that I will visit again for sure, clean beaches, peaceful atmosphere, I will visit again for sure.
Beautiful, peaceful, homely, just nice.
Enjoyed it so much, it was really a great place.
Enjoyed the stay there. To fall asleep with the sound of the ocean in your ears were pure bliss.
It was my second time back at Koos Nap, but my friend's first time and we all agreed that we will definitely be back. True value for money and made for a lovely, relaxing weekend breakaway. Just what the body and soul needed. Also, it was much appreciated when arrangements were made to have wood delivered as we were travelling on the motorbikes and space limited. Thank you again.
Beautiful sea view from the veranda.
The "Booking Conditions" attachment states that no smoking is allowed. However, because Koos Nap is a sort of semi-detached with the owner staying in the other smaller part of the house we could smell his smoking in the main unit we stayed in. Also, it was not very sound-proof between the two sections of the house, we could sometimes hear the owner doing things and him speaking to his wife; this disconcerted us a bit because we did not feel private and wondered what they could hear from us. The owner was very friendly and helpful. One slight issue: The one wooden framed window in the main bedroom was slightly bent at the bottom which meant that it did not close properly. Becuase the weather was particulalry cold and windy half of the time we were there, the cold wind blasted through this gap into the main bedroom. We stopped the gap with a towel. Koos Nap has an old-fashioned style of furniture and quaint, but our stay there was very pleasant.
The location was amazing. There is a sea view and it's a stone's throw from the beach. You lie down at night and listen to the breaking waves, and you forget about everything that is negative. The carpet in the house was a low point for me. There is old furniture and the place has a smell (of giving). Furthermore, the house has everything you need, you don't miss anything.
It had everything needed inside. Clean and awesome view.
Unit is separated with a plywood wall and a door from another unit where the caretaker and his wife live. They smoke inside their unit and the smell of smoke is suffocating in the room with the two single beds. Our daughters got terrible sinuses and felt sick all the time. There is also a lack of privacy as the units are only separated by the door and are therefore not soundproof. However, the uncle and aunt were very friendly and helpful. We had a nice stay and the two bathrooms are very comfortable. The view is fantastic.
Did not feel safe.
Was impressed that DStv had a sports channel, so we could watch the rugby at home. My 5 year old son would have been happy if there was WiFi.
It was wonderful and incredibly peaceful. Koos Nag is a well furnished apartment with everything one needs. View to the sea, walking distance to the shop, restaurants and the beach. Stay in Paternoster as an agency also provided very good service.
Close to beach, walking distance to restaurants and shops.
See rating.
Beautiful sea view with all necessities in comfortable 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Lovely stoep with braai and sea view.
Beautiful view from braai stoep. Walking distance to pubs and shops.
Koos Nap is well equipped with everything you need. Modern and all the charm of an old fisherman's cottage. It is child-friendly and especially well located for young people who want to visit. Will definitely visit again. Uncle Stan and wife were very helpful.
Accommodation was very neat. We were warmly received and everything was just nice for a wonderful break.
It was a lovely weekend. All that bothers me is the smell of cigarette smoke in one room of the house. Furthermore, a very nice visit.
Koos Nap was the perfect space to just break away from the demanding society.
Thank you very much for good service and value for money. Stay was excellent.
Very nice accommodation!
We had a great time in Paternoster. The period was just too short. Again it was perfect and the accommodation was of good quality and well priced. Will visit again.
Quiet and safe. The sea is calming. Could walk for miles. The shops are within walking distance and have interesting things in the shops.
View is something to look forward to every day.
We had an absolutely fantastic weekend.
Very nice stay. We Namibians will use Koos Nap again. The two bathrooms were the best.
Basic, plain and simple accommodation, with a lovely stoep and view. Even though the house is a bit old, it is very neat and clean. The bathrooms has been modernised and beautiful. We loved it, as it is kids friendly and my kids had a ball of a time. Stanley was great, very friendly and very helpful. Definitely a place I will return to.
The presence of Stanley, a neighbour, gave a sense of security.
Koos Nap was a real Gem to stay in and right on the beachfront. Well equipped. Just need better TV package and WiFi.
It was very nice, the view of the beach from the porch was the highlight. The house was very neat and tidy, but I would suggest you put in an air-conditioner in the rooms as the temperature went up to 35 degrees at one stage over the weekend. A dishwasher wouldn't be too bad either, but nonetheless, it was a very relaxing weekend. Thank you to Stanley and his wife for making sure that everything was in order and that we were still enjoying our time at Koos Nap.
Nice view with all the necessary necessities. As always very neat.
The beds were uncomfortable. No fireplace in the lounge which makes it cold in winter. Braai in kitchen could not be opened.
The location was great with a nice sea view from the veranda, the pictures on the website were a little misleading and the house reeked of cat wee, which is unacceptable.
Even though the apartment was well equipped, the smell of the apartment was overwhelming. The place smells a lot of smoke and cat/animal urine (the carpets in the TV room) - not sure if anyone has taken their cat/animal to the apartment yet. The tub, as well as the sink, in the bathroom were dirty - there was hair in both. Doesn't look like it was washed out. The towels also smelled of smoke, even though the apartment clearly states that smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. Furthermore, the apartment was well located and had the basic amenities - only very sorry about the smell. Even with the windows and doors open it was still overwhelming.
An old house which could do with an upgrade in certain areas (kitchen and verandah). Bathrooms are fairly good, no hand towels provided. Privacy is compromised in that the resident caretaker is on the premises and walks across the verandah and tends to the garden when guests are in residence. I felt such tasks could wait until a time when the house is vacant.
Very neat little house with a large veranda overlooking the sea. We had a very nice stay.
The two new bathrooms real plus. The rest of the house older house atmosphere. It was not advertised as anything else.
Fantastic location, very nice house and view from the stoep. Very nice experience. Stunning beach, friendly people in the town, nice shops. Unforgettable!
Just want to say that you feel very safe with the owners and Snappy next door and yet it is so nice and private. Walking distance from every restaurant and the sea. I would definitely recommend it.
Lea and Stan who look after the house and live next door are extremely helpful and friendly. What a pleasure! We will go back to Koos Nap any time!
We were very disappointed that we had to share the house with the owners. It definitely needs to be mentioned. The owner also moves past the porch from time to time and throws plants in front of the garden as well as wet on the porch, which is not nice at all. So there is no privacy. The chutes are not for tall people. However, the bathrooms have been beautifully redone and are an asset to the place, and so is the view over the empty lot.
Clean and tidy with enough accessories in the kitchen for a longer stay. The distance from the beach and view of the sea was a bonus. Value for money!

The sea view and the fact that it is walking distance to the beach was the best thing about Koos Nap. However, the one room that adjoined the lodges next door smelled of smoke which put us off a bit. Although the couple who live next door are really friendly and helpful, we prefer more privacy - especially when you consider the price.
