I will always sleep at Kronenhoff when we go to Kirkwood. Everybody was nice and friendly. They let us feel like family.

Delicious food, friendly service and neat room, just a pity the cottage was not on the main site. So I couldn't easily use the pool and gym facilities, because one has to walk or drive outside in the street (especially at night) to go back to the main site. Nowhere in the discussion was this mentioned either, so as a single woman one felt somewhat insecure.

The stay at Kronenhoff is cozy and room (number 1) was decorated in good taste. Reception was spontaneous and helpful. There is sufficient security and we did not feel uneasy in any way. General impression is one of homeliness, yet with professional handling of guests. The restaurant offers a lot and the cook is skilled and the food was very well prepared. We ordered steaks which were cooked just right and also of good quality. Our starter was calamari and the cook cooked it just right. The waitresses quite nimble and spontaneous. If one wants to criticize it would be: The waitresses should be careful to wear small plates. It creates a sloppy impression and patches cause the feet to have to be dragged and it makes noise on the plank floors. Perhaps the young ladies should be alerted to general dress as well. The portion size of meat is quite large for ladies and maybe see if you can offer both 200g and 300g steaks.
We enjoyed our stay at Kronenhoff. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the restaurant served a really good meal. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable!
