Kingfisher cottage comprises 1 bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a kitchen, a living area (no TV), and a dining area indoors and on the deck. The bedroom is equipped with a large mosquito net and has air conditioning. It is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with 2 wash basins, a large indoor walk-in shower and a separate toilet. It also has an outdoor shower with a view towards the mountains. Towels and shower gel are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a ceramic 4-burner hob (no oven), a kettle and a toaster, as well as a large fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. The kitchen amenities include salt, pepper, 10L of drinking water, 1/2L milk, dishwasher liquid and dishwasher tablets, a dish cloth and a tea towel. A double sleeper couch in the living room can be arranged for children up to 12; charged extra at child rate.
The cottage offers privacy, both in the cottage and on the outside deck. Each room has large glass sliding doors that allow a superb view of the mountains.
Guests can enjoy their plunge pool and braai on their private deck. Braai utensils are supplied, but you need to bring your own charcoal and firelighters.

The place meets up to all expectations.
The outside shower was a great idea. The place is clean, the owners were very welcoming and we really felt like we were home. She prepared the rusks and team for our game drive. One of the best places I have stayed in Hoedspruit.
Breathtaking view.
Had a really nice stay. The room was very spacious with mosquito nets, the living area also enough space. The pool was well located at the end of the deck and had a nice barbecue. Will go again!
The stay was lovely. Perfect for family couples or group of people. Only thing I would recommend is a TV.

General remark: We reserve the right to move guests to a different cottage of the same standard as the one that was originally booked.Braai utensils are provided, but firewood, firelighters and briquettes need to be pre-ordered before arrival or provide their own.
Breakfast or braai packs can be delivered to your cottage at an extra cost, but need to be ordered at least 3 days before your arrival.
There is a gravel road leading up to the lodge and it's easily accessible with a standard car.
Pool towels are provided.
If booking Turaco cottage, please note the following:
If Turaco cottage is booked for 2 adults, only the main bedroom downstairs will be accessible (the second bedroom upstairs will be locked).
If Turaco cottage is booked with children younger than 12, they will be charged a child rate for the living room sleeper couch. If children want to use the second bedroom, they will be charged adult rate, regardless of their age.
If we get a request to host a larger group in Turaco cottage, we will move a booking for 2 adults to one of our 1-bedroom cottages.
