Offers neat accommodation on the banks of the Crocodile River with a beautiful view of the Kruger game park. Pleasant overnight stay before entering the wildlife park.
It was a nice getaway. Near the Kruger National Park gate. Town very busy, but the Spar in town was some of the best we've had to deal with. The accommodation was nice, a wooden house right in front. The sun was a bit annoying in the afternoon, but elephants, manatees, various goats and more were there to see. A nice experience to see how they enjoy the water in the heat. Enough swimming pools to relax yourself and a nice restaurant and another restaurant within walking distance with a view over the river. Both's food was the best. The sleeping place inside, outside and gardens were very clean. We will definitely stay there again.
We almost saw animals here than in the wildlife park.

We had a very nice stay. The beds are just very very hard and the one single bed did not have clean sheets. It looked like someone had slept in it the night before because the sheet was wrinkled and there were hairs in the bed. The other single bed was clean and tidy, as was the double bed. Furthermore, we had a nice stay and visited.

This was a great recommendation when we couldn't find accommodation in the Kruger game park. The restaurant, several swimming pools and putt-putt course were pleasant surprises that we did not have time to properly enjoy. We will visit again.
Fantastic! Upon arrival, elephants walked by the fence and ate and played in the river. The place is very peaceful and quiet. Most beautiful sunsets over the Wildlife Park and along the river. Really highly recommended for a getaway to nature and close to the Kruger Malelane Gate.

The one bedroom river chalet is perfect for a couple. It's the most private unit of all within the resort. It has a lovely view of the river and a large deck. The full-size fridge with freezer compartment is really handy, and there is a microwave and gas hob. Self-catering cutlery is a bit limited (only 2 of each item like plates, etc.), and remember to take things like a wine bottle opener, Tupperware for leftovers, and an egg lifter. Remember, as this is outside the Kruger, you need to rise early in the morning to enter via the Malelane gate. At 5:30 am, there is already a queue. Take note that the restaurant on the premises closes beginning January to afford the staff a break, but you have the option of using The Deck restaurant which is within walking distance. All in all, it is good value for money. There are many shops in Malelane; however, the area is extremely busy so we were glad we had purchased our self-catering food in Johannesburg. Make a day of it and go to the Samora Machel memorial site (entry is R50 per person in cash) - well worth it. Kaapsehoop is also beautiful, but you need a full day for it and probably better to stay over for at least one night to appreciate the town.

Parking far, no walk way over wet grass, deck cut in half, no table to sit nd eat, no privacy at all. Shower just a trickle, left in morning without showering. For most expensive stay on the property was not up to scratch. Extremely disappointed.
Very disappointing. Despite the pictures, if you don't book a riverside chalet, there is no access to the river view. I was told to go away. This is a complete rip off. The chalet was reasonably clean, but extremely hot; the aircon is in the bedroom and the sun hits the lounge. Completely unwelcoming. What a difference compared to other lodges in Malelane. Don't stay here!
No, not at all. The living area and kitchen cupboard are on the deck, yes under roof, but the pendant lights are wrongly placed. Bugs are on you all the time and in everything - food, kettle and your hair. The kitchen hangs the light right where you have to prepare food and over the stove. There is no alternative to eating comfortably when it rains or dodging bugs. The photos were probably taken a long time ago. Things changed and missing (umbrella and deck chairs, other sofas, and a shower floor). Other mat in unit. The shower floor is laid with wall tiles and is soapy smooth. The taps leak. The water pressure is pathetic in the shower and it takes a long time for hot water. The blind is short in front of the bathroom window. The bed does not sleep comfortably. The TV only has football channels, but not all guests only watch football. The view from the sitting area over the river is very limited, with plants growing. You can't sit there at all because that and the bugs with the lights. The garden waste that is thrown over the fence to the river side is detracting from nature. The worst thing is that we asked twice for the owner to contact us because the lady couldn't help us, but that didn't happen either. There is serious maintenance required.
Our stay for the third time now was amazing and we would do it again and again. We, as the family, truly love this establishment.

We loved Kruger View Chalets. It had everything we needed and more! (Maybe a few more kitchen utensils are needed.) Kruger Park was full for day visitors but we were perfectly happy game-watching in front of our unit.
The location is great, the views are awesome and the facilities are great. Nice pools and other activities to be done on the premises. It was a bit disappointing that the restaurant and bar closed without notifying us during our stay though.

The location of the chalets is perfect. We had a view of the river and could see elephants on the other side of the Crocodile River. I loved the fact that they had a restaurant and bar on-site as well as a pool table and putt-putt for the kids. We had to call the lady on duty to replace 2 light bulbs (which were promptly replaced) as well as an issue with the stove light (which was not resolved during the time of our stay) but the service was always friendly and prompt. They even brought our swimming towels to our chalet.
The most delicious visit on the banks of the Crocodile River. The best chalet of all there. Just be prepared for an extremely uneven stone bathroom floor. Any person with a foot problem like me cannot walk on it. And once my wife tripped over the uneven floor. I promise if the owner calls me and says he redid that floor with decent tiles then I'll be back next weekend. Really the only thing we could complain about.

The units are clean and tidy with air conditioning in each room. WiFi was unfortunately terribly weak.
Very noisy guests which made it unpleasant for us. They made so much noise in the bar area that we left the restaurant. Our unit was stuck to the other. Both sides had noisy people. Heard their conversations in full and the TV channel they were watching. Really unpleasant.
The facilities in the unit we stayed in and the general feel of the place is that it needs some attention. There is no security and all gates are open. Otherwise it is well located and is a pleasant overnight stay.
On the house rules page we noticed it didnt state any other rules other than the breakage deposit. We were met by rules that wasnt shared on the page that made our stay a little uncomfortable for us. . We went as a large family group and before we go on such trips we check on their rules before embarking on trips to ensure we comply. . However it wasnt a good experience for me but the Kids loved it!
We slept 4 nights at Kruger View Chalets and visited the wildlife park daily. The location is perfect for that. The view over the river is beautiful and we were lucky enough to have elephants standing and eating in the river bed in front of us. Unfortunately, 3 things happened that were bad for me: 1) When we arrived, late one afternoon, the cleaners key was still in the door, so our unit was left open all day. 2) My bag was definitely rummaged through that one day. 3) I accidentally forgot my soap and shampoo in the shower. There were 3 items and after I made inquiries the next day only 2 items could be located. I asked if they could pax it for me (I wanted to pay the cost for it). Unfortunately the staff were not very helpful and I left it.

Unfortunately arrived late and drove very early but the chalets and surroundings are so beautiful can definitely stay there longer, flowers on the bed were a beautiful touch.
I would go back to the Kruger View Chalets anytime I want to visit the Malelane area because that establishment is more value for your wallet. They can do with a fence upgrade and better security as cars can just drive in and out and no one even blinks and that’s a security fear for one's car that’s parked there overnight. I must say that I love the fact that they provide backup generators for those load-shedding hours and we were there while the country was on stage 6. In summary, this was my second stay at Kruger View Chalets and I loved it again.
The unit we suffered in is comfortable and tidy. Well located on the Crocodile River with a view of the wildlife in the adjacent Kruger National Park.
We spent the night there to travel on to the Kruger National Park the next day. It was very comfortable and clean. We will definitely do it again.
What an absolutely stunning place. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night and also arrived late due to protest action, but would gladly visit the Kruger View Chalets in the future again. The place is fully equipped with everything you might need and more, very nicely situated (we saw the elephants right at the fence), calm, peaceful, tranquil and so neat and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Disappointed with this visit after previous visit. No more the quiet, peaceful game garden atmosphere, noisy due to the pool parties on the property. Those who don't spend the night hang around and we can't enjoy the view. So sorry.
Although the room has an aircon, the cabins are very hot, and I strongly recommend that the aircon is switched on prior to the guests arrival, as the little lounge area does not have aircon, and on arrival it was uncomfortable hot inside and I had to work in the bedroom which doesn't have a desk/counter to work on.
Peaceful quiet environment with a nice view of the river. There is a beautiful variety of bird species to see.
The location is perfect and beautiful, but the units can do with a bit more attention on cleaning. The unit was not 100% clean on arrival. The second day when we got back from town housekeeping left our unit open after cleaning with all our personal items in the unit. We returned the housekeeping key to reception as it was in our open door. Our biggest concern is safety as there's is no security control at all and they tried to steal our spotlights from our bakkie during our stay, it's not safe at all as day visitors also walk between the rooms for this reason we will not visit again or recommend this place.
We will definitely come back again and plan every day's trips from here. The stay exceeded our wildest expectations. We will definitely recommend it to friends if they are planning a trip to the Kruger National Park. Excellent stay.

Front garden between chalets and river is very well maintained, enough seating for visiting under trees, with enough privacy between units. Fridge could be bigger as we did an overnight stop on the way to Wildlife Park.

This was a good decision, the river facing accommodation is recommended. It’s very quiet and peaceful here. The chalet was neat and tidy. We enjoyed the short break.
Units are well looked after. The River View unit closest to the river is ideal for a peaceful, private getaway. The gardens need some attention. Would have been even better if they were a few kilometers further away from Malalane. Locals on the east side were a bit noisy. The wildlife viewing from the unit is now not a Chobe or Khwai but saw elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, giraffes, hippos and crocodiles in the two days. Bird life is abundant. Osprey's call every day!
Chalet was tidy and well equipped, although a meat bowl was missing. Lounge set is low and sits uncomfortably.

Beds in certain units very uncomfortably hard, Some of the cutlery and glassware, etc. is not fully in some of the units can't understand how one pays to have a swimming pool and then is not allowed to swim after 19:00 and also why there are braai facilities and only charcoal is allowed and not wood

Bed feels uncomfortable or you roll off the bed all the time. As a self-catering rental, you have a kettle, toaster, microwave. No sink for water for kettle or rinsing/rinsing of cup or glasses, have to drink over and over again in dirty cup or glasses and go to get water from sink in bathroom. Not very hygienic. Only plate, porridge plate, knife, fork, porridge ladle, small spoon, frying tongs, can opener, no sharp knife, grater, steak knife etc. Used in the same dirty plates, glasses and cutlery night and morning or have to be washed in the bathroom sink, not worth the money at all.

Slept very well and great for socialising, it was very clean, until even the braai was cleaned every day. The people were also very friendly and helpful.

The Kruger View Chalets are definitely recommended. However, the amount of crockery and cutlery are very minimal for a 4 star accommodation, exactly 4 of each for 4 people. The dishwasher that is present (but not working) is therefore completely unnecessary, because you have to wash it again manually. Sorry. Nevertheless a visit is worth it.

The only setback that does not do the place justice is the factory at the back that was active the entire Sunday which makes you feel like you're back in town. It also operated on Monday. Because of that I will not book there again. Chalets lovely. Clean bedding good, but noise a problem especially if you're in 6, 7, 8, 9. We were in 9 the first night.
The pillows were so old that I woke up with a sore neck every morning. Let people with caravans park right by our windows and then they come at 5 in the morning and hammer and slam doors.
A little disappointed with the cleanliness of the rondavels. Bathroom with shower not clean. Bedding not clean and fresh. No control who drives in and out of the gate. One o'clock in the morning when people are hanging out and partying. Not value for money at all. We thought paying more would get us a great stay but were disappointed.

The chalet looked great until you stayed in it. It seems like a man designed it. No sink in the kitchenette and if you want to wash anything you need to do it in the bathroom. For the price you pay I will at least expect some wineglasses but no, only 2 normal glasses provided. Suppose to be self-catering chalets but apart from 2 plates, no other dishes to use to put braaivleis in. No other utensils apart from 2 knifes, forks etc. not even a braai fork. It almost seems like they want to force you to use the restaurant. If you will be making your own food you will have to bring everything with you. Again, at the price, why not some basic stuff made available? Bring your own swimming towels. Very little shade available around the pool.

Nomvula at reception is friendly and competent. At arrival we were offered a unit with a view or the river and the Kruger and upgraded with a smile. The river-view units are beautiful, but the smaller units behind them are a bit disappointing.

The people were very friendly. The facilities were nice and clean, but they are too expensive for the value we received. The resort advertises that there is free WiFi, but it did not work. It was also advertised that there was a built-in braai, but when we arrived, we saw that there was a freestanding braai and that you were not allowed to make a fire with wood.
Will definitely stay there again. Have never relaxed so nicely and received such great service (reception). We were a bit late and couldn't get on the road on time. We let them know we were going to be late. We were still about 18 km away when they called and asked whether we were still okay and that they would wait for us! This is excellent service!

Very nice view on river and Kruger Park with great opportunity to see wildlife whilst still at the lodge. Saw rhinos, buffalos, giraffe and waterbucks besides the other bucks.
It was pleasant, but the chairs at the pool are of such poor quality that guests will get hurt there. Stairs from the porch are too high for elderly people.

The Chalets comprise identical features and will quite comfortably accommodate up to 4 people each. Two spacious bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms, each bedroom with either a double bed or 2 singles, a comfortable lounge with satellite TV that has a nice garden and river view. A fully equipped kitchen, braai stand, air conditioning and daily cleanup services.
On-site guests can use the communal swimming pool, secure covered parking. There is a restaurant next door that guests can use.
