Comfortably nestled amongst shady indigenous sickle bush trees, the porch of the cottage ( with braai area and splash pool) has a cobbled pathway leading to the fence of the Kruger Park itself. Common visitors to the fence include families of elephants and other popular wildlife species. At night, the roaring of lions and whooping of hyena can be heard, while mornings belong to the calls of fish eagles and grunting of hippo. Warthog, kudu and impala make daily visits to the verandah as you sip your morning coffee..
The cottage can sleep six adults, with the option to accommodate two additional children in the common area upstairs.
Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with one being perfectly fitted to cater to people with physical disabilities. The main bedroom has a king sized bed, while the others each have two single beds respectively. The open plan kitchen and lounge area blend into a convenient gathering spot, where guests can prepare meals together or simply relax and watch tv after a long day of game viewing.

This has been our second stay at this cottage in Marloth Park. It is by far our favorite place in Marloth to stay. Being opposite the Crocodile River/Kruger fence, you constantly hear the hippos in the river. There is also an abundance of bird life for the birding enthusiast.
Absolutely! Quiet with everything needed and more.
Our stay was comfortable and relaxing, the accommodation was spotless and well-stocked with everything needed for a self-catering stay. An added benefit was the inverter and batteries that kept the lights on during load shedding. The pool was a lifesaver during the 40-degree plus days.
What a nice place. Will go again.
Very nice, unbeatable value for money. Not luxury, but fantastic bushveld accommodation. We enjoyed it very much.
Very relaxing place to stay.
Cute place with a very nice view of Kruger Wildlife Park.
It was the best place in Marlothpark we have ever stayed. The animals across the river are just amazing. And the host is a real host. He cares so much about his guests.
I would definitely recommend the Self-Catering Cottage for people to go and enjoy. It was clean, enough space and a very good location. The price is not unaffordable either.
We had a wonderful stay at Kruger View Cottage. It has everything you need for a stay in the bush. The cottage is well located with a view of the Kruger. It is great to have the lookout deck, although not much can be seen as the trees are overgrown and blocking the view. All in all, we had a very relaxing time - we will definitely return to Kruger View Cottage!
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Good location, fully equipped. However, trees are very thick and we couldn't use the observation deck. Will book there again though.
Viewing deck is very high so just watch little kids, but absolutely wonderful peaceful stay in the bush!
Clean, tidy and everything you need. So this mom is coming to rest for the weekend with her family. Will definitely see you again.
The cottage is well-kept. Everything we needed was available. Had time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and to have quality time with family.
A beautiful place in a lovely environment where small game come daily to greet and sniff. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious home. It was spotless and everything we needed was there. Rodney is a helpful and friendly host.
We were in the woods, soul food. What was great is the location and the animals that come right up to you. Grandchildren really enjoyed it.
This was a relaxed weekend with friends. The cottage location is close to the fence of Kruger. We had a wonderful time there. The swimming pool is perfect for those hot days and near the fireplace to keep an eye on the kids. All 3 rooms have on-suite bathrooms that made it much easier for our guests. We will definitely return and visit KrugerViewCottage again.
We had a lovely stay for our honeymoon. It's nature at its best. The service we received from Rodney is the best you will ever get. Such a lovely person with a heart of gold. Thanks, Rodney for everything you are a star.
Well appointed and laid out.
Location causes a lot of traffic to and fro, but is still quite private and nice.
We will use this accommodation again if the opportunity arises.
We especially enjoyed the night owls' visit. We had trouble finding the house on Google Maps. At first we didn't see that Warthog Road continued where it turns towards the river. We were pleasantly surprised with the camping chairs and cushions, it made visiting outside a lot easier. We did miss a single light at the barbeque as all three outside lights worked with only one switch and this attracted a lot of bugs which made sitting outside at night difficult.
We said we needed an oven that worked as we would not be braaiing. However, during load shedding the microwave, toaster and other plugs in the kitchen did not work. So we were limited to what could be cooked on the gas stove. Also despite asking about the supply of electricity, the last night we were there nothing worked.
We had a wonderful weekend. Some of the people who went along were in Marloth Park for the first time. The accommodation right next to the wildlife park, the clean and large rooms and the visiting area have ensured that these people will definitely come again.
This place is the ideal place if you want to be in the forest with animals that come to visit from time to time while you are in the pool or on the veranda. Stunning, stunning place. Clean, tidy, beautiful, everything and more that one could ask for. Sns will definitely book the cottage again.
We really enjoyed our visit to Marloth Park. The Self-Catering Cottage is perfectly located and all the necessary facilities are there. The owner also encouraged us when we had to change from 6 to 4 guests. We can recommend the place with great confidence.
Ideal location next to the fence. Accommodation was neat and private. Great value for money. Rodney was very helpful and responded quickly. Will definitely recommend.
Everything worked as expected. Relaxing and trouble-free accommodation. Would return again.
We had a great time. Everything you need is there. The house is located in a fantastic location. You see the river and game park but still with the trees it is private. We were also lucky to see 3 leopards together in the river bed. Will definitely visit there again!
A special home that is beautifully prepared and elegantly presented.
Ideal for small to medium groups with all necessary facilities for a short break. The cottage's location next to the Kruger National Park/Crocodile River meant we were treated to the sound of elephants trumpeting while we barbecued and relaxed in the pool. With just a few steps, we could also see the elephants for ourselves where they grazed on the other side of the wire. We were also close to the shopping centers and restaurants, while still being able to enjoy our privacy. The cottage is neat and modern and I would definitely like to stay there again in the future.
Absolutely beautiful from the time we arrived at Marloth Park itself and then the drive within to our accommodation which the current pictures don't do it justice! We found the accommodation clean and welcoming and our host was easily contactable for suggestions on what to do in the area. We were with small kids and the accommodation was absolutely perfect both indoors and outdoors. The only things you need to bring are your food, clothes and exploring attitude, otherwise everything is provided. Everything! Have fun and enjoy your time in this cottage - it's nature at its best, can't get better than this.
We decided on short notice to extend our stay at Marloth Park, but the house we were staying in wasn't available and how glad were we that we couldn't get our initial house for 2 more nights and ended up in this house. It was beautiful and clean (unlike the previous house, cleanliness was an issue there) and just perfect with lots of space and everything one would need from a home away from home. I loved the fact that it has a combined stove top with 2 electric and 2 gas plates which was a blessing as we had a lot of power problems at Marloth Park during our stay. The house even features a wheelchair-friendly bathroom. We also had lots of visits from different antelopes, warthogs and bush babies. It is just perfect!
The cottage was super clean and that is a big thing for me! Everything you needed and more! Would be nice if you could see more from the viewpoint but other than that very happy!
Can recommend the place next to river.
Too overgrown, trees too high, can't see river from viewing platform.
We enjoyed our stay and having the swimming pool was a pleasure!
Such a lovely well furnished, well maintained home, disable friendly. We had a wonderful stay.
Tidy. Well equipped. Excellent location by the river. Fully wheelchair friendly. Owner available and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely, clean home in a great location with nice small pool and everything needed for a comfortable stay. The visitors (zebra, buck, warthog, mongoose, giraffe) were a special treat as we enjoyed the pool patio and braai. Hope to visit again soon!
Tidy. Friendly host. Many bird species seen. The cottage is located opposite the wildlife garden's fence. The upper floor is delightful with two bedrooms and bathroom with deck and lookout tower. The youngsters could have hung out there all day while we hung out downstairs at the braai. The unit is very well and conveniently laid out.
Als was neat and clean, very comfortable house, but we booked the place because we wanted to see a view of the Crocodile River from the house. The house is against the boundary wire of the wildlife park but the viewing area is overgrown by tall trees. Can't really see anything there. (Don't know if it was just like that because it rained so much?) The viewing area should have been just a little higher, so that you can see over the trees. Other than that we were very happy with the stay!
If you are looking for a destination that seems to have been dropped in the Bush, look no further. We loved absolutely everything about Kruger View Cottage - from the perfect splash pool, the oh-so-comfortable beds, the well equipped kitchen to the wonderful silence (except for the animal and insect sounds, of course). The regular 4-legged visitors had us keeping our eyes focused on the bush wondering what we would see next but our nightly visits from the Bush Babies were an absolute highlight. The cottage is wonderfully private and you can almost forget that you aren't completely alone in this little piece of paradise however, there are stores catering to your every need, should you have run out of your favorite wine. For anyone wanting to have their creature comforts, in the bush, Kruger View Cottage comes highly recommended.
Very cute place. Neat and clean inside! Grass around the house must please. be cut. This means that there are many insects.
It is very dirty. The place is full of cockroaches. The bathroom is terribly dirty. We had to wash all of them before we could use them.
Baie dankie. Dit was lekker.
Very nice house. Located by river and not far from main road. Kudus/zebras/roebucks and warthogs came to visit and in the evening the night owl. Only shower in master bedroom is hot and then cold and then hot again and then cold again. And then a request: put a security gate on the door leading to the car. Had to keep the door closed all the time when we sat outside on the porch for baboons and safety. Kitchen and living room then become hot and stuffy.
Saw a lot of wild in Marloth. The shops basically has everything one needs.
We had a most enjoyable week's stay at Kruger View Cottage. The only complaint was the ceiling fans did not help at all with the intense heat, air-conditioning would be wonderful. We were also a bit disappointed that neither the owner or supervisor popped-in for a visit. Just a pity the front of the cottage was very overgrown. The animals, there were plenty, it was such a treat ─ especially when the warthogs came to the cottage to be hand fed, as mentioned above, because of the overgrowth the giraffes, zebras, buck just passed the cottage.
Be part of nature!
Very private, neat, and clean.
