The multi-storey lodge comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The second and third bedroom each contain a double as well as a single bed, and the fourth bedroom contains a double bed. The bathrooms are fitted with either a shower or a bath, a basin and a toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the breakfast bar or the dining table. A back-up inverter is available during load shedding.
Guests can relax in the lounge which opens onto the main deck, and is equipped with braai facilities, and a splash pool that overlooks the reserve. A pool table is also available for guests to use.
Secure parking is available for vehicles. In addition, the lodge has a dedicated self-drive game viewing vehicle, which guests can rent at an extra cost per day.
The resort also boasts a host of facilities and activities such as game drives, horseback game viewing, cold and heated swimming pools, and an outdoor spa.

The guy who is your mantainance is bloody rude he is the rudest person I've ever met. the 1st bathroom shower and the towel rack is faulty.
Kubu Khaya was amazing, very neat and everything we expected. The reception area, deck, braai area and pool are fantastic with all the views. Rooms are spacious and everything we used works.
We had a lovely time at Kubu Kaya. Everything was neatly clean and furnished with comfort! Beautiful view over the forest and the pool was a bonus for the children.

Very neat and clean accommodation. Was a lovely weekend with lovely silence. Water was a small problem, but it was sorted out pretty quickly.
The house is arranged okay. The views and the surroundings are endlessly beautiful.
The weekend rained but still there were pool tables and other games to play and especially since we are students it kept us busy. The outdoor seating area was pleasant, we could sit outside even though it was raining. The rooms were pretty clean when we got there.
The advertising was deceptive and more photos of the place would have prevented this. Many goods were either broken or malfunctioning. The 4th bedroom was not part of the interior of the house, looked more like a cleaners room/outhouse. The 4th room was no better than the other rooms in the house, I was ashamed to let a family member sleep there.
I had to stand in the cold with a baby for 2 hours to wait for Lynette to find us another home. Her attitude towards us, poor. I was told to drive back if there was no other place.
We had so much fun with family from USA, AUS, UK and RSA. The house is beautiful, the view is stunning. It was so peaceful. Have fun.

I won't lie, the place it beautiful but we were sold dreams regarding our accommodation. The accommodation wasn't to our expectations. The owner promised to refund us R1000 and we are still waiting for it. For the inconvenience, he offered us a free game drive. I am highly disappointed because as friends we had high expectations.

House rules
Housekeeping is available on request at an additional cost per session.Any breakages or damages due to negligence by the guests exceeding the breakage deposit will be for the guest's account.
Breakage deposits will be refunded 5-7 days after check-out. It is the guest’s responsibility to provide us with banking details for the refund.
Parties, as well as loud noise and disturbances after 22:00, are not allowed. During the day, music is allowed for your ears only.
A game drive vehicle is available on request with prior arrangement, and is at an additional cost per day.
Rubbish to be kept in the lodge or bins provided, and rubbish will be removed when housekeeping services are booked.
Please refrain from moving furniture around except for pool loungers and folding chairs. This damages the deck.
Please place all crockery and cutlery in the lodge before retiring at night and before departing.
All doors and windows to be closed when not in residence.

Lodge keys are not allowed to be removed from the property and have to be locked in the key safe, even if you are going on a game drive.
Fire is only allowed in the designated areas; braai and boma.
Firewood for the boma and braai area can be pre-ordered for delivery at the lodge at an additional cost per bag.
No firewood to be collected from the veld.
Beer bottles, caps, cigarette butts etc thrown in the veld will be cleaned at a charge of R500.
Any damages caused by non-adherence will be charged to guests directly.
Some roads in the reserve are not tarred, and it is recommended to use a vehicle with a high clearance when possible.
