124 guests' feedbackLovely and comfortable stay. Receive stuff and pick up and drop off at security makes it easy.
Marloth was lovely and the weather was warm. The house is comfortable - we will definitely want to go again. There were problems with the power - but not too bad.
The house was really nice and cosy. We all enjoyed it and it was a pleasure to go home to after a day in Kruger. Marloth Park itself is a gem with the animals coming to visit frequently.
Visit was wonderful, except for the power that went out a few times, unscheduled.
Comfortable house with everything available. Had a great time.
I loved staying at Kudu Lodge. It was very neat. The braai area is also nice! Small splash pool to cool off after a hot day. Not too far from the local shop with all basic necessities.
Very nice stay, the house is well equipped. Just an idea, I would have enjoyed it more if there were bowls to feed the animals. The animals need supplementary feeding at this time of year. Many houses have the facilities for the animals. There was also a lot of noise and loud music close to the house at night which disturbed the woodland feel.
Very comfortable and enjoyable.
Enjoyed the stay, house inside was nice and clean. Just windows begging for a wash. WiFi reception is very poor. House has everything one needs.
Thank you very much for a nice visit and stay. I would recommend it to anyone. Nice and quiet and nature does you good. Thank you very much.
We stayed 1 night. The place is special. Definitely going to spend a vacation there. Great place. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely refer friends and family. Chantell and her husband were very helpful and friendly.
Fantastic weather! Saw many animals. Wish this was my home.
Will next time book for way longer and explore the whole of Marloth Park.
Very neat place. Will definitely recommend him and visit again. Had a great time.
Unfortunately smelt of cigarette smoke but otherwise clean.
No repairs have been done in years and it is dirty. Mice littered cupboards and we had to wash everything we wanted to use first.
I would definitely recommend Kudu Lodge. Lovely family home.
A very nice place small neat and well equipped. Everything worked and was well kept.
We had a nice stay at Kudu Lodge with family. We may just feel that it was a little dusty at home and not completely cleaned before we arrived. Otherwise, the house is well equipped for a nice getaway. We really appreciated the dishwasher and good value for money for group of 6 people. Will recommend it to other acquaintances.
Due to road works we don't get there until after eight. The key is not at the gate and we have to drive 6 km to collect it. It's not clearly marked and the security company is still coming out, but asking for R100-00 to go and activate the alarm that we didn't set yesterday. Just didn't feel like driving another 12 km back with a car full of people and a trailer. Swimming pool's photo on website is misleading and pathetic.
The layout is pleasant and the dishwasher was a nice bonus! There were enough bathrooms for everyone and the air conditioners in each room help a lot in the heat.
We had a great time at Marloth, and the accommodation was perfect. Everything we needed was there and it was clean. Definitely will you see us again.
Was a dream, felt like a queen.
The place is getting old and a little tired but is well laid out to cater for a larger group of people. We did find mugs in the closet that were dirty, but origens were all pretty clean/tidy enough.
Large group with small children had a great stay!
Very nice stay, everything you need!
We had a lovely holiday!
We had a great stay at Kudu Lodge Twins and will definitely do so again. Would just recommend that they sort out the problem with the mice. The cupboard in our room was full of mice droppings. It would thus appear that the room was not properly cleaned. Other than that, we were happy with our accommodation.
Had a very nice stay. Accommodation is very clean and neat. And easy to find.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Affordable stopover on our route from Mozambique. Air conditioning upstairs in the house set just a little too hot. Maybe rather like 21-22° C! Especially after a very long, hot drive from Mozambique. Other than that, great. Thank you!
House was well equipped, splash pool was only empty when we arrived.
Nice woodland stay. Extremely affordable.
Initially when we arrived on Sunday 16 June 2019 it was already dark and we could not see everything properly. The next morning one house's boiler did not work and the caretaker brought another 1. We weren't aware of the problems at 113 at that time and when she asked if we had any other problems, we said no only to find out later from 113's guests that the plugs upstairs don't work and it's very dirty as well as mice or rat faeces lying around and that the bathroom was dirty upstairs as well as the bedding. The guests there had to sleep on top of sheets and blankets because there were stains on the sheets. When we contacted the caretaker later she informed us that she had guests and would come on Tuesday. On Tuesday 18 June 2019, she informed me that she was fully booked. Long story short, she never showed up and we had to change the bedclothes ourselves and clean upstairs in 113. In 114 there was still excrement and later started to get a bad smell. Will not book or recommend again.
I had been on the road for a long time and traveled through the night. Asked early, well before the official check-in time, if it was possible to check-in to sleep. They granted my wish with a big concession and booked us in early. Awesome, thanks to their staff.
Thank you, Kudu Lodge Twins, surprised us. Everything you need and it was very comfortable. Our stay was very unforgettable and the kids enjoyed the animals.
We were very satisfied, place is tidy, fast and friendly welcome, good service, pampered with sparkling wine and chocolate! Thank you!
Had a very nice time. Thank you.
We only stayed one night, the house was big enough for all 8 of us, with everything we needed. The pool was lovely in the heat! Beautiful setting with wildlife on your doorstep. My daughter's tablet stayed behind and Chantall and Tersia went through a lot of effort to get it and keep it for us! Will definitely recommend Kudu!
Would stay at Kudu Lodge Twins again anytime. Very nice, neat place.
The only issues we had were the top bunk bed is cracked, so a bit worried to use it. Also, the oven had not been cleaned properly, so could not use it.
It's a very nice and neat place. There are 3 bathrooms and has everything that you need.
We would recommend this accommodation to any group, big or small.
We were a group of 4 families with small children. Overall, it was nice and the children played joyfully. The place needs a decent cleaning - beds have ants, children are bitten in bed (look like fleas) and oven had dead spiders in it. Crockery in the closet was dirty and the closets themselves were also dirty. The bath's plug did not work and the shower heads either, but we fixed it. The alarm did not work and it did not want to pick up on the Field Security system. The Field Security woman was also very unfit and threatened to pay us a fee because we could not put the alarm on. A bonus was the DStv because we forgot our smart card and decoder. With proper cleaning and a little better customer service I would recommend the place.
House that was very dirty. Spent a lot of time cleaning up the place before we could pack up. All were bitten by bed bugs. Air cooling did not work and was leaking on electrical switches. Had to plan myself to fix power points in rooms. Would have been a good place to stay if everything was in order before people were taken in to holiday there.
Very neat little place, with everything at your disposal, nice for two families visiting together on holiday. Will definitely go again.
There are some defects that need to be repaired such as wall plugs that don't work, electrical wiring in the upstairs bathroom that is detached from the wall and may cause an electric shock, outside light at the barbecue is off, the water in the upstairs toilet keeps flushing, the glass in the downstairs shower pulled out of rubber and therefore stuck to frame. We fixed it ourselves. 1 plastic chair is damaged and therefore not usable.
Everything you need for a getaway. Felt at home, as if we were at our own home. One recommendation: braai girds need to be replaced - very rusty and not usable - maybe it should be stored inside the house, underneath the stairs with the gas bottle, then it would be usable for longer!
Very neat place, well equipped. Perfect for a peaceful few days in the bush. Couldn't have asked for more.
We had a great time, just had a crisis with toilet paper. 1 Roll per bathroom is not enough for a long weekend. And maybe ad 2 or more chairs at the braai. Thanks, I'll recommend it.
We were 2 families staying together. Was clean and enough space for all. I liked the fact that it had 3 bathrooms! Would love to stay there again.
We had a nice stay, located near the Wildtuin. One can also enter the Wildlife Park at Malelane Gate or Crocodile Bridge for a day, which is what we did.
Sewage system and air conditioners of both units need attention, otherwise really good accommodation that is well equipped to accommodate six and more guests.
The house itself is clean, but can do with a few minor maintenance and replacements. The braai grills could really do with replacing as both of them have most certainly had it. It's great that the potjie pot and gas bottle are provided but disappointing that the potjie attachment for the gas bottle is the incorrect size. The shower door in the bottom bathroom needs fixing as it is bent. the upstairs plug that the air con is plugged into cannot accommodate another plug being in it as this then trips the circuit for those plugs. We really were expecting more game being around the house, and it's the first time that I have actually stayed at Marloth park and have not seen any game at the accommodation (we have stayed every year for the last 5 years), not even a mongoose. The other disappointing thing was that the splash pool was not filled, which on our confirmation did say may not be full due to the water restrictions, but every other house that we walked past and drove past had their pools filled so really do not understand why this unit's couldn't be filled. Although the stay was pleasant and the house was clean I really will not be recommending this to any friends or family as we have most certainly stayed at better facilities in Marloth park for a lower rate. I can however say that Chantelle and Jacques were very helpful and quick to respond to the queries that we had so a big thank you for that.
The house is beautiful, but there were some things that were not sufficient. There was a dirty, dusty rug under the bed in the ground floor room which we took out and put on the porch. The mosquito nets have holes in them. The house was dusty and I would recommend that they see if the previous guests washed the dishes or get a cleaning service because the glasses, plates and cutlery were dirty, as well as the microwave. We also only used the master bedroom bathroom, the other two bathrooms didn't get the light, and the upstairs shower and curtains need cleaning, the outside braai area was also dirty, we had to clean it before we could sit there.
Everything is clean and neat, would go there again.
Had a nice time. Just too short. Ideal for an event of any sort. Already told my friends about it and will definitely book Kudu Lodge Twins again in the future. More affordable than the Kruger.
We had a great stay and the house was sufficiently equipped.
Just a few suggestions: electric frying pan or gas frying pan for breakfast and a slow cooker for when you go out all day.
Directions to Kudu Lodge were very well reproduced and the house was clean and tidy with everything one needed. The only problem was that the barbeque wasn't cleaned, but that wasn't the end of the world, the rest made up for it.
Fully equipped residence that allows you to enjoy the nature around you.
Our family had a wonderful relaxing time and enjoyed the wildlife. Kudu Lodge is excellent value and the accommodation is comfortable and clean.
The unit is stunning and well furnished.
What is the reason we had to wash the dishes? Isn't that why one pays to stay there?
Very nice stay. Loves the domestic game.
It was very relaxing, but with a few drawbacks. One thing that's most offensive is the smell of sewerage. Particularly when sitting outside at the braai area! The steak knifes are a danger to anyone handling them, they bent backwards and slip off the plate when you knock on the plate and tip it that way, please replace.
I want to cry in my hands over this place. It is beautiful, well laid out, spacious, accessible and surrounded by large trees which lends itself to a rich birdlife, but unfortunately there were a few maintenance niggles which could have made our experience much better with relatively little cost and effort. The swimming pool had not seen maintenance for years, was full of stains, an eyesore and not pleasant to use. On arrival some of the cupboards and showers were not clean and also the fridge had not been cleaned for a long time. Although it was repaired the next day, some of the lights were not working, something one would expect should have been checked before being let out. The sewage system left a foul smell especially in the boma area and stoep and from entries in the comment register it was clear that this has been a problem for a long time. The maintenance team did come and apply some kind of medicine but by the end of our 10 day stay the stench was still unbearable. If all these things are sorted out, it's going to be an amazing place and I will return there, but as it is now, unfortunately I can't recommend it.
The place is Amazing and the atmosphere is incredible. A real bush experience.
We were very impressed with Kudu 113. We had such a nice stay. The house was clean and very tidy. There is everything needed and enjoyed the dishwasher. The deck upstairs was lovely too. The trees outside made for delicious barbecue evenings. A winner indeed!
We had a very nice and comfortable stay! Will definitely stay there again! Thanks for the grape juice and chocolate!
Will always want to go back to Kudu 114. Very clean, spacious, nice house that is very well equipped. The outside area is also perfect. I give you full marks for service (from Lydia) as well as convenience. Love this place!
Thank you very much for that. Will definitely use LekkeSlaap and Kudu Lodge Twins' services again.
Kudu 113 is a neat unit with everything you need for a nice getaway! All that's missing is a nice big mirror. Unit well equipped and very clean.
We were there with friends and later our parents. It was perfect. Close to everything, safe, clean, convenient. Best getaway we've had in a long time. One suggestion is to get a helper to clean inside and the hearth outside daily. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it.
I have on previous occasions also stayed at Kudu Lodge Twins with family and with friends. Service and accommodation have always been excellent! Absolute value for money! Location is perfect for visiting Kruger Park and also Leopard Creek with the Dunhill Golf Tournament. Lots of game visiting the area around the house that can be viewed such as Giraffe, Kudu, Warthog etc. Can most definitely recommend Kudu Lodge Twins, and will certainly make use of it again in future!
This is a special experience because the animals really walk the streets in SA. Also only in the game garden and in Marloth. It is the dream of any Johannesburger, who is not too bothered by bugs and scorpions, to make it their second residence. It's worth it anytime!
Have a nice time thank you. The broken boiler was quickly repaired and the hot water was sufficient.
We had rented both houses. Nice spacious homes. At the end of the park.
Good value for money and received good service from the staff on duty.
We had reunion with our children: group of 15. Will go again.
We had a great time, but didn't see any animals. The light at the braai and splash pool was out of order. The kitchen is well equipped. The champagne and chocolates were a nice surprise.
We struggled with the geyser and one sink was also clogged. However, the power problem was quickly sorted out.
Wonderful place. Large variety of animals. Unfortunately only people walking around there during the day who clearly don't live there.
We will definitely stay here again!
House is spacious for large group! We enjoyed the scenery! Very neat.
Very spacious and very nice for a family. Each room has its own bath room making it very convenient.
To be recommended to other.
Nice place to stay!!
It was very nice in Marloth Park. It's peaceful and the animals really enjoy it.
At short notice we got a spot. It was lovely and well appointed, thank you very much.
We really enjoyed it. We plan to go again in December for a week.
Thank you very much, we had a great time with friends. The ground floor bedroom is nice for someone who can't climb stairs. There are enough bathrooms, thanks for nice new mattresses for the beds! We enjoyed the outside barbecue area. The security is fantastic; i accidentally hit panic button and they were there in minutes!
Thank you very much for the wonderful stay. The place was really clean and everything was in its place. However, we experienced a power issue, but the issue has been resolved. Would recommend anyone to come and stay here!
Kudu was a nice place to stay at - however, but they don't have much activities and tourist guides on-site. We had fun in the lodge although most of the time we were away; but the little time we had on-site was nice. A small complaint is that the TV has no sound or small sound - I understand the noise pollution but they should set noise levels to a better listening mode. Also wish an iron and ironing board were available.
I would recommend it to anyone anytime.
Quiet and very suitable environment for those who want to experience heaven.
A fairly okay stay.
It was delicious. The kitchen is very well equipped; thanks for dishwasher The linen was clean and pillows enough. Thank you!
Will definately visit again. A real bush experience with all the luxury plus more. Saw the biggest Kudu bull ever roaming around the property as well as Giraffes grazing close to the house. Convenient with Kruger National Park around the corner, this is the ideal place to stay.
It was a very good option for a larger group with or without children. Grandma is in a wheelchair and the house was spacious. Everything we could need was there. Even the zebra and warthog came to say "hello". Thank you. We are already planning the next one for October with more friends from abroad.
We enjoyed every moment! Will definitely go back!
Had a great stay and have no complaints.
The Lodge is very well maintained, lovely setting and excellent for a bigger family. The lodge very well equipped for a nice weekend or longer stay. The beds could be a bit younger but the environment did make up for that. Will definitely g back there again. Riaan Horn
Our family really enjoyed it. The house reminded us of our own. It was just really nice.
It was very nice, good value for money, and close to game park.
The house is well equipped, the location is perfect, lots of showers and toilets.
See the stars below.
We enjoyed our stay very much. There are small things like the toaster tripping the electricity and the rotten floorboards on the deck, but nothing that was a major problem. A gate to keep small children from the stairs would be a bonus. Thank you so much.
We had a fantastic stay at Kudu Lodge, but must say that they should consider replacing the current double beds.
The unit is spacious and clean. The swimming hole is somewhat small, but nice.
Kudu Lodge is a very good starting point to many attractions. It is conveniently located close to the Crocodile Bridge gate of Kruger Park. There were friendly animals that visited the house every day, and enough sleeping space for the whole family. A dishwasher might be a bonus, and also reduced rates for people staying longer than five days. We will definitely go again.
Received good customer service while here.
I would have appreciated it if one could leave the dishes for a cleaner to do otherwise a dish-washing machine might be a very good improvement, we spent a lot of time washing dishes Sunday after breakfast instead of spending time with the family. Otherwise we enjoyed the time there. The zebras gave a lot of pleasure and joy.
The stay was good, but I did not know it was not serviced daily and would have enquired for servicing if I had known, even if I had to pay extra. I had no cleaning products with and so could not clean bathrooms, kitchens etc. There were not enough black garbage bags. The showers could do with a decent clean. The towels were inadequate, past their sell-by date and also smelled. Drying cloths in kitchen was inadeaquate and smelled. Based on these issues, I will not stay there again.
Nice stay, very clean. I was just disappointed in the size of splash pool.
It is a very fabulous place. Clean, several animals roam about. A very good place to recharge your batteries and refresh your soul.
Could never have asked for better accommodation! Would suggest you consider a special tariff for those wanting a longer stay, as two days is way too short to enjoy such a wonderful place!! Thank you so much for you accessible user-friendly website otherwise I would never have discovered such luxury!
Good accommodation. Many bird species, lovely walks. A friendly Warthog even joined us for a carrot treat. Would suggest that the French drain receives a bit of maintenance.
We loved our stay at Kudu Lodge and would definitely like to go again. There were a few small issues with appliances not working but all in all a very pleasurable stay. Thanks and see you soon!
We had an awesome time at Kudu lodge. Very nice and private braai area, comfortable rooms and beautiful view of the bush. We had about 11 zebra's visiting us on the stoep - that was great! Will definitely go back!
Nice place to stay.
