Quiet area with a beautiful sea view. Fully equipped with everything you will need. Very neat! A recommendation would be to get WiFi and a smart TV for the place. The locks of the disc doors must be replaced so that they can be locked. The smoke from the braai area comes in and makes it a bit unpleasant. Maybe the braai area needs a service. But definitely the place will remain a favorite for us! It was nice!

Stairs very steep, needs a rail. one bathroom. Felt there was a fire hazard in the complex with units so close to each other. Good position.
Don't like the idea of pegged furniture with instructions. I realize there are people with children who sit on small tables etc., but it is very annoying as an adult to be reminded of such nonsense in that way. Simple house rules can be taught. Cellphone reception very poor, so WiFi would be recommended.
Just a pity that we couldn't barbecue, because without any fire, the house smelled of smoke. The shower needs a decent curtain or door as the current one keeps falling off. The power plugs in one bedroom don't work at all, and the sliding door to the kitchen is broken and won't close at all. But, the sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, especially from where the property is located, and the ocean right outside is out of the books.
Beautiful place to stay with a beautiful view, but needs attention. Two of four exterior doors do not lock, and although it is in a secure area, it is still South Africa. You have to open and close the front door. The stairwell has no handrail, and I believe someone is going to get hurt a lot if they fall.
A small gas duster for load shedding would have come in very handy.
I was welcomed and always kept informed of everything. When the time was due, I received a notification. The price was also very reasonable. My stay was great.

There were no instructions on how to use the somewhat different TV system. We could have asked but did not bother, seeing that we were only staying for one night and going out to dinner anyway. Such instructions would be useful to future guests.

We were set for a bit of rain over the weekend so I wanted a place with a view, so we could sit inside and stare at the waves and not have to drive around in the rain to see a bit of the ocean. Kuiergat was exactly that! Added bonus was the inside braai area, so one could even cook inside or just socialise around the fire while still seeing the ocean. We chose to eat takeout rather than spend the weekend cooking, but everything we could need was there.
We were very lucky to experience good weather. Very pleasant visit and satisfied with the apartment. The state of the awful stainless steel grills was sad. How hard is it to clean such grills? Fortunately, experience has taught us and we always put together our own set of grids!
Lovely, comfortable, well appointed apartment. Lamps for load shedding. Always hot water. Amazing shower (had to mention that). However, Binnebraai's chimney needs urgent attention. We had to open all the windows and doors in the cold to avoid smoke inhalation. We had to give away the wood we wanted to use, because we didn't want to start a fire again the 2nd night. Definitely a major health risk. Meat grill can also be replaced. Frequently mentioned in reviews. WiFi would be an asset as the TV only has Easyview and there isn't really anything to watch in the evenings. However, we will definitely stay there again in the future.

Quiet place that is very safe. Permanent residents have fun together and make you feel at home in their surroundings. You feel part of the community. Nice restaurants in the area. Very nice beach nearby. The tidal pool is so fun to frolic in. One bathroom is sometimes a problem, but is not that bad. The closest thing to an island vacation I've ever had. Would recommend the place anytime. Stairs to the top are very stylish.

The unit was very comfortable, clean and tidy with everything needed for self-catering. The unobstructed view of the sea is beautiful and a lovely breeze blows through the unit if the front and kitchen sliding doors are open. The indoor braai and TV are also a great asset if the wind blows or it rains. The hostess left several game boards and books there for entertainment and reading. A two-plate gas stove is recommendable if there is load shedding of 4 hours. Very nice stay, thank you very much.
Bath towels should be included in the price like the bed linen. The braai needs new cement so it will be easier to clean.

Unit gives a feeling of space upon entering, very neat and equipped with everything needed. Really value for money. Secure, open parking. There are steps up to the unit which must be kept in mind. Mariaan Human received us very hospitably and it was pleasant to meet her and her husband Pieter. Nice view of the sea which is only a stone's throw away. The tidal pool is within walking distance.
We had a really nice stay right next to the sea. The view is beautiful and the silence is wonderful. The place is well laid out with everything you could possibly need. Unfortunately, the TV didn't work, and the check-out time of 09:00 is hopelessly early.

Kuiergat has an incredible view of the beach and has easy access to walking the beach in both directions for about 4 km. The place is super well equipped with everything you might need for self catering. While I knew before I booked, I was still disappointed with the lack of WiFi as this was the only place that didn't have it that we have encountered. In any event the place is comfortable and could not have a better location.
Kuiergat is well-equipped to offer a unique holiday experience, especially being so close to the sea.
We had a great time staying and hanging out at Kuiergat. Beds sleep great. Everything one needs. The extra small fridge for bait is great. The bedrooms are just warm, would recommend for fans. We are very private people and sleep with the doors closed. There was no pull. Maybe also a gate at the top of the stairs. I kept feeling like I was going to fall when walking to the lounge area. Thanks to Aunt Mariaan and Uncle Pieter for looking after us so well. Will definitely book there again.
Ideal cottage to relax with a breathtaking view in a quiet village. House is comfortably furnished with a delicious indoor barbecue overlooking the sea. Catch fish and walk on the rocks right in front of the house, swimming beach 10min walk or 2min drive.

It was everything we wanted and more. Very cute, peaceful place by the sea. The house was beautifully clean and tidy and has everything you need. We enjoyed that the sun rises early and the sound of the sea in your ears lulls you to sleep, if you were as tired as I was. We could clearly see 2 whale mothers and their young coming up for fresh light. Many thanks to Mariaan and her husband, you were awesome!

The lady that had the keys to the property was not very friendly. I feel the parking is not suitable. There was a vehicle in the garage and we had to park on the other side of the house (gravel pitch). We visit Witsand twice a year at least for 12 years. This is the first time experiencing this.
You smell, see and hear the sea on your porch. It was the perfect birthday weekend! All I can say is take everything you need for example wood, toilet paper etc.
Everything runs like syrup. You don't need anything more.

Very nice stay here, most beautiful view of the sea. Nice indoor grill. Place is very comfortably furnished, neat and clean! The only problem was that this house is way too nice to stay for just a weekend! The weekend was too short!
We spent an enjoyable and restful two weeks at Kuiergat which we found to be most comfortable, well equipped and clean.
We really enjoyed our stay. The view is stunning, both of the see during the day and the stars at night.
Wonderful vacation in a beautiful, cosy place on the water!
We had a view from our balcony over the whole bay where we could watch Southern Right Whales surfacing daily (some with calves) and this alone was worth every km we travelled from Velddrif WC to reach Witsand. Kuiergat is also close to the beach and tidal pool. Safe wooden steps leads down to both. The whales leave this area during November/December when they head for the South Pole. They return in August/September. A bird watcher's heaven as well, as Kuiergat provides fresh water drinking areas and nectar bottles for sugar birds when the proteas and aloes are not flowering.
The departure time is way too early and the TV didn't work.

Very friendly reception and convenient accommodation in Kuiergat, Witsand. Location on the ocean and we saw many whales. The only negative comment is that the braai equipment, the braai grid and pots were dirty. We went and bought our own braai grid. Other wise everything was neat and clean.
