Come to La Bri for a quick weekend break away and enjoy farm hospitality firsthand. Accommodation comprises 3 large en-suite bedrooms. Each room can also be used as a family room. Two of the rooms has an attached enclosed patio with an single bed. One can also hire the whole house for a group of people.
The spacious farm kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and guests can relax in the sitting room with its Cape Dutch furniture.
We also accommodate brides and bridesmaids for their last night before their wedding day, due to the amount of wedding venues nearby.
The main farmstead and manor house is an favourite venue for photo shoots.

What a beautiful place. The room was huge and so neat. The bed was so comfortable. The massive shower was kitted with extra towels and toiletries. What an amazing stay.

A lovely old house that we had completely to ourselves for a night. A few of the rooms were locked off - presumably for other guests when the house is in greater demand - which might be less idyllic. The house is huge with big bedrooms and big bathrooms, so you are never going to be cramped. The kitchen and lounge would probably be shared. It is packed with old furniture and items from a different era - it seems like the house dates back to the 1850's. The kitchen was a bit run down - but functionally fine. Our bathroom was beautifully renovated. It is perfectly situated in the scenic Slanghoek area with lots of wine estates to visit and sightseeing to do. We would definitely consider coming back for a longer stay - especially if we could come as a group and book out the entire house. One slight negative - it is probably about 800m away from the main road. It wasn't very busy, but some more fussy visitors may note the occasional sound of a truck or a tractor going through the winelands.

Thanks for the biscuits in the kitchen! I didn't have any other breakfast. There was "loadshedding" for 4 hours straight just when I got there, around 20:00, so the WiFi was not available. There were rechargeable lights available, thank you very much!
Very nice big place, just a shame there is 1 bathroom, but it's peaceful and quiet and having Windermere around was very lovely.

It was a boiling 41 degrees, but the house is cool and under the trees it was lovely to just sit and relax. The web page did not indicate that there was WiFi, but it was available (a bonus). The website mentions that there is wine tasting on the premises and that meals are provided on request - neither is offered.
I was locked out after my meal and had to climb through the kitchen window because of other guests in the house who locked the front door after I went to eat. I didn't know that I had to take my front door key with me. Mosquitoes were a bit of a nuisance. Bedside lamp has a loose connector. Otherwise excellent facilities with lots of extras.

Lovely very neat and well equipped farmhouse with everything and more you need. Also perfect for large families. Beautiful setting between the vineyards and mountains. If you want to come and rest and just sit on the porch with a little wine, this is definitely the place to come. Thanks Carina!
My friend and I really enjoyed spending the quiet time there. It was close to all the places we needed to be and we really had a nice break from our busy lives.

I was visiting a friend in Rawsonville and I chose La Bri Guesthouse. I was definitely not disappointed. I was able to stay in a large room with an equally large en-suite bathroom. I had access to a kitchen, a stoep and the surrounding vineyards where I had a lovely walk. The views from La Bri were also beautiful!
I had a wonderful stay at La Bri. The old mansion is set amongst beautiful vineyards, giving it a lovely secluded feel. The house is well furnished and there is nothing better than sitting on the porch and watching the sun set over the mountains. Carina was also a very helpful hostess. I can highly recommend staying at La Bri.
A lovely old farmhouse with large spacious rooms with the most beautiful antiques and antique furniture. The bathroom is very modern. There is the most beautiful, peaceful large stoep with a beautiful view and a large container with very tasty biscuits. I would recommend La Bri to any guests. It exceeded all expectations!

The typical Cape house with its white walls and gables is situated on a farm with vines. The farm is suitable for strolling and has the most beautiful view of the mountains in the distance which is a great treat if you want to break away for some silence. We were well received and well informed. The interior itself is beautiful and nothing looks neglected. It's also not too far from cute places to eat and the necessary things to buy for a self-catering place. Will definitely visit the place again with our next bike races. Thank you very much!

Have stayed there before and will use again. It touched old heartstrings to be able to own celebrities in the historic photos. The history of the house speaks in every room. Centrally located in one of the most beautiful surroundings in the Boland. Very spacious, convenient and comfortable and tidy accommodation. Furthermore, you feel part of a Boland vineyard farm with the vineyards full of grapes that accompany you to the front door. Thank you very much Carina for your kindness. One tip: A loose sheet under the feather duvet will come in handy in the summer for those who get hot easily, but at least they want to cover up a little for the night.

Thanks to our stay at La Bri, we as a family can really look back at a special wedding of our youngest sister. On arrival we felt at home and welcome through the way our hostess, Carina, welcomed us. The space, atmosphere and nature around this particular destination also contributed to this. On departure on Sunday, March 24, we promised each other that we would make it an institution every year to come here and make memories for a weekend.
The Owner is very kind and accommodating, helpful. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and can only recommend them.

La Brie is an old farm house from the 1850's. All of the facilities are modern however. If you want to book on your own it is better to book the entire house to have privacy because the kitchen and lounges are shared. We were all friends so it wasn't a problem for us.

The website should advertise that this accommodation is situated on a working wine farm. The views are spectacular overlooking vineyards with mountains in the distance. (La Bri is underrated on the website!)
The historic house is very nice and conveniently located. The bathrooms are spacious and the bedding was some of the best I have ever had in a guest house. Nice and cuddly for the winter. We really enjoyed the coffee and biscuits on the large veranda with the most beautiful view.
The guest house is a dream house and absolutely ideal for a group like we were. We attended my son's wedding and I and my other children with their companions thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and splendor of the house. The large porch is also a great treat. I would very much like to stay at La Brie again with my whole family for a longer period of time. The signposts to La Bri are not very good and we found our way there with a lot of searching. The reception upon our arrival there was very unfriendly and detracts from the beautiful house.

Heater was on when we got there. The only reason I didn't rate safety better was because there are no locking facilities/fence for the car. In the house itself I felt very safe.

Any TV would be welcome as it's really too quiet when sleeping over for business and not for vacation, especially for young people because if you don't have company you really have to go to bed too early.

What an incredible experience... It's the most beautiful house from the past and very, very neat and safe. We didn't want to go to the wedding later, it was too nice at home! We will definitely "escape and slip away" here again. To hear the pigeons early in the morning, to see the turtledoves chasing each other and the view... something from another world. If this is what Heaven looks like...
