Really very nice stay. Wash peacefully and quietly with water right on your doorstep. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the rowing boat. Everything was beautifully clean. Hostess was more than helpful and we were able to check in earlier as well as check out later. No problem. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderfully relaxing and great value for money. Enough activities in and around Jeffreys Bay to occupy the teenagers. The stay at the unit is made even more pleasant by the hospitable and gracious hosts.
Excellent service from LekkeSlaap and estate agent. Unfortunately we couldn't make a wood fire. Only charcoal fires are allowed where we stayed.
Unit was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the stoep on the canal. Also very safe in the Marina. Nice place for walking and cycling.

The front door needs attention, very difficult to close. The braai was disappointing, braai surface and grates were in poor condition. Power of choice remains a frustration.
Very nice stay. In love with Jeffreys Bay and will definitely visit again soon. Would love that the annex could be serviced and that there might be a light or two if there is load shedding. But, that doesn't take anything away from a lovely stay. Thank you very much!
La Caribe 55 at Marina Martinique was a great surprise as we had been to Jeffreys several times before and did not know about this great place for a family breakaway. We are from Cape Town and are spoiled with many great and pristine places to go for family holidays. This is an excellent place to relax. We were also a bit surprised by the Tokyo Sexwale Township that one has to travel through in order to get to the Marina. I would recommend travelers to be cautious when traveling particularly at night.
Place is a bit hot at night, any guest would appreciate a fan or two.
The services of the agents and cleaners, not so good. There was no 'grid' for the braai, no broom and not cleaned properly. The couches' cushions and blankets on top were dirty and tongs, knives and forks etc. were also dirty in the drawers. The agent's comments on our comments were also not appreciated.
It's such a nice vacation when you wake up on the water like this every day!

We were very satisfied with our stay, however for R1200 a day I do feel the towels should have been a little softer. I could only pad me down after showering. The water didn't drain quick enough in the shower and I had to clean it every time after showering. Other than the bathroom everything else was very satisfying. The agent gave us great service. I will definitely recommend it to others. I even have a booking for December.
The apartment and the location was lovely. Being by the water was relaxing and tranquil. Being able to use the canoe and enjoy the marina was a bonus (but the canoe does need some tlc, we saw a hole at the back which we reported). The apartment was tidy and welcoming on arrival. There is room for improvement on the following, the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils were not washed properly, some items were dirty and had to be washed before we could use them. The oven is grimy and needs a good clean. The shower tiles had some mould and could be cleaned better or even replaced as it is looking old. The couch was a bit unpractical as it kept on sliding off the base, perhaps add ties to the back. The pillow cases were clean but had stains on them. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a great time. If some of those small things are taken care of, it would have been 5 stars all round.
Owner didn't even know we were coming. We then have to sit in the hot heat for half an hour and wait so that they can prepare the place for us. After I let you know we will check in at 15h00.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The arrangements by Janine were great, the place was spotless and exceptionally well equipped. View is beautiful and environment quiet and safe. Despite wet, windy weather, we had an unforgettable weekend. Sorry we couldn't go rowing - maybe next time.

The Serenity and view was perfect. Will most definitely return. Loved every minute to hear seagulls, life around the Marina, with spectacular sunset. Absolute bliss.
However, lounge furniture is totally impractical especially when the weather is bad. The couch is very uncomfortable and unusable. There is one bad pillow that doesn't seem to fit and keeps falling off when you try to sit on it. Would recommend that a new bank be urgently considered.

I was impressed with the nice fresh smell when we walked in and the effort with small things like coffee bags, sugar, pampering thing and the soap and air freshener in bathroom. Even wood and matches. It is the smaller detail that will make me book again. Thank you very much - we really enjoyed it.

We were in Jeffreys Bay 20 years ago and were shocked to see the decay of the town center and streets. La Caribe and Marina Martenique was an oasis in the "dilapidation" and really one of the best units we have ever rented along the coast in South Africa. Janine, the lady who receives you, is very helpful and efficient. We took part in a swimming meet in the marina and she arranged with the cleaner that we could only come and shower after check-out time. It was tremendously appreciated. We can recommend La Caribe with great confidence.

Fantastic place to stay. Accommodation very neat and clean and has everything one requires for a relaxing holiday. The canoe was an extra bonus, that we really enjoyed. Beds were very comfortable and the view to the outside great. Would really recommend this holiday accommodation, as one can just relax here. What you see on internet photos is really what you get.
The only negative comment I have is that you have to drive through a very bad area to get there, but inside the marina it is incredibly safe, very beautiful and peaceful.
Small and compact with everything you need. Beautiful view of the waterway. The children can move around safely in the security complex.
Everything around our accommodation was wonderful. We liked that Corlia made contact with us personally wishing us a safe journey and finding out everything was right. Janine who welcomed us was so friendly and helpful and it was fantastic that the unit was cleaned during our stay. Everything inside the unit was of good quality, tasteful and well thought through. My teenage children even asked if it could be our annual "go-to" place. It was so wonderful that the unit is on the ground floor with direct access to the canal. I must say it wouldn't have been the same otherwise. It was great to have access to the canoe. It provided hours of fun, especially for teenagers who get bored quickly.

If there were more stars, La Caribe 55 deserves it. Absolutely lovely stay, the location is perfect, the view beautiful and the unit has everything needed and more. Everything needed is in the unit and in working order, convenient and comfortable. We really enjoyed the canoe, had a good barbecue and also had a great time swimming. I appreciate the sms 2 days before the time to remind me and give contact numbers and also the sms after the time to make sure everything is ok. When we arrived Janine was there within 5 minutes to give us the keys. Do yourself/husband/family/kids a favour, book a plane ticket, hire a car and go relax in Jeffreys Bay at La Caribe 55 for a weekend, you'll return with a new zest for life. Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend.
