We absolutely loved our stay. The pool, which was the main attraction during the heatwave, was a blessing.
Too bad the town didn't have water, but the stay at La Cruize Guest House was neat and value for money.

The unit was clean and quite centrally located. Water is a problem in Welkom.
It was clean and neat. There was no water on the second day. I could not shower.
You must please inform the people who book that there is no water available, it is terribly uncomfortable.
The room doesn't look like the picture at all, it's much smaller - it made me giggle because I'm so cheap. The room smelled like perfume/cleaning agents - overpowering but clean. No light in the bathroom. The young lady who helped me was friendly and that's why I decided to stay.
The rooms were clean and tidy, but the garden looks terrible. The water being off all night is a problem. I would definitely not recommend the single room to anyone. There were also not enough cups and towels in the rooms. There were no complimentary toiletries.
There had been no WiFi. Only 1 of the lights in the room worked. Pool was dirty and smelled awful. Waited 20 minutes outside the guest house while the caretaker was barbecuing inside. Garbage bag was lying in front of our rooms. Never removed while we stayed there. Photos are not at all what the place looks like. Do not book here!
Single traveler. The unit is small but has everything needed for 1 person. There was no microwave and cutlery in the unit, but it was available from the main building if I asked for it. Very quiet and peaceful area. Comfortable mattress. Clean facilities.

La Cruize has some neat rooms, but the maintenance could be better. These rooms are clean. The water in the area was off for repairs the weekend I stayed there. La Cruize contacted me in advance to inform me of this. Water was provided in a bucket and I was immediately notified when the water was restored. Very good service.

It was convenient for me for overnight stay.
Although the room was clean and tidy, the garden and the pool were in a very bad condition. The pool is only half full and green. The grass was long.
The unit is clean and tidy and true to the photos listed. Welcome was somewhat confused, I got a call from a man who wanted to know in broken Afrikaans what time I would arrive, when I arrived at the time I said I had to call someone to open the gate , it was then done and I was welcomed by a friendly lady with a very limited English vocabulary, questions couldn't really be answered and I was left to my own devices. When checking out, no one was there and I had to figure out myself that keys should be left in the mailbox. Overall, the place is beautiful and safe, but more attention could be paid to how interaction with guests is handled.
Room is neat and clean but not worth paying so much for a room of about 16 square meters. Pool is green, not nice as in photos. Lady who received us was not very hospitable. Reception felt rushed.
