Amazing views and beautiful sunsets. I loved waking up to the sound of birds chirping. I highly recommend this place to those who just want to escape their busy lives, relax and admire nature.
We really enjoyed the break.
Absolutely fantastic, can't get any better. Staff are very friendly and extremely hospitable. Will definitely use them again in the future. Neat, peaceful and breathtakingly beautiful.
This is the best place to visit.
Our stay was amazing. We had a good time. Unfortunately, the wood that was given to us must have been wet as it would not stay alight in the fireplace or the braai, which was unfortunate as it was very cold. Other than that, it was lovely.
We chose this location because it was 2km from Le Paris where we had to attend a wedding. The location and security were perfect. Just some constructive criticism: There is no long mirror (I was trying to get ready for a wedding). There is no plug near a mirror, so I had to do my hair blindly and run across the lounge to the bathroom to look if it is right. There should be curtains / blinds in the lounge / kitchen as one has to go from the bedroom to the bathroom through those rooms and there is no privacy.
Cute place to stay and explore Franschhoek. Very neat and clean, and the owner is very hospitable. He gave us eggs from his "happy hens" upon our arrival to eat for breakfast.
We were booked into the Thatch Cottage (same day as the flooding in Franschhoek). Due to the flooding, they couldn't get fresh linen for the unit (due to the flooding in town), but later in the day, Tim phoned (and always communicated with us) and said he managed to get clean bedding - which meant we could still spend the night. The unit was clean and contained everything you could need (WiFi, air conditioning, fireplace, braai, fridge, etc.). The unit itself was absolutely stunning - especially having the view of the river from the deck. Tim supplied us with ample firewood and even brought us some eggs in the morning. I would highly recommend spending a night or even a weekend. Thanks, Tim, for being a great host. We will be sure to visit again!
La Ferme is truly a peaceful place where you get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was spotless and had everything we could need for a braai and breakfast the next morning. We were able to relax wonderfully, especially in front of the fireplace. The unit was also nice and spacious inside and there was an extra large fridge. The owner even brought us "free range" eggs for breakfast.
