We overnighted at La Ford - the room was well laid out with everything necessary for such a stop.
We were very kindly received by the hostess, her son and two dachshunds. La Ford is a comfortable, neat and spotless unit. The bedding is cuddly and soft and the electric blanket was a nice bonus. One is spoiled with biltong, rusk and even a dog rusk for our dog child. We felt very safe during our stay and were able to enjoy a walk along the oat fields. The unit has a safe fenced area where you can barbecue and our dog could run around there without escaping. We would definitely like to stay there again.
We had a very nice stay. Chelhette is a wonderful hostess. I would recommend the place to anyone taking the long road between the Cape and Gauteng, this is the perfect resting place after a long day of driving.
La Ford is definitely a repeat visit for us! Excellent service, clean, tidy and fabulously beautiful. A real gem of a place!
Beautifully furnished guest room, much attention has been paid to the smallest detail. It was just a pleasure to be able to spend the night in this beautiful place on the most beautiful farm! We will see you again for sure!
La Ford does not deserve 5 stars, there may be others who disagree with me, but my and my wife's experience makes it impossible to give 5 stars. We will be able to give 10 stars for sure. The places were very neat and clean, the garden and lawn well maintained. The view together with the tranquility and bird sounds make it worth it to saddle up there after an 800 km ride. We will saddle up there again in the future. Many thanks also for the friendly reception of the hostess.

We really enjoyed our stay, La Ford is really a very neat place and really very beautiful. Feel like you are one with the farm and out of the city far from the tarmac.
What a little gem. Everything from the top shelf - friendly reception, spotless, well equipped with top quality items, neat, lovely shower, towels and sheets, WiFi, comfortable bed as well as electric blanket. Everything perfect at a reasonable price. Really accommodation to recommend.
