We stayed for 3 nights. We had an amazing view with our private Jacuzzi outside surrounded by greenery scenes and a mountain. Clean facilities and a big, beautiful, refreshing farmyard for morning walks. The host (Annelize) was so patient and courteous; we felt so welcomed. Self-catering with daily room service, Mama Maggie was so amazing and helpful. She really made our stay special.

Quiet environment where you can relax. Friendly reception. All the units are nicely furnished and private. Recommended for a couple looking for a romantic getaway as some units have private hot tubs. One can go for a walk on the farm between the orchards which is very refreshing. The scenery with all the wildebeest roaming freely makes it worthwhile even for those who don't like walking.

The stay was very very nice. Will only make one request to La Granja's management, the unit we stayed in needs a new bed, the 2 mattresses against each other were uncomfortable. Otherwise, the weekend had been very nice. The Wi-Fi did not work, the password was incorrect.
The unit is tidy and linen crisp. Internet in unit is not strong, but it is outside in the garden. The middle door between unit 3 & 4 by the kitchenette makes me feel uncomfortable. The work surface in the kitchenette is minimal. The jacuzzi is lovely. However, Braai is in poor condition due to rain damage. The patio set doesn't have loose cushions and the fall hangs in the wetness when it rains and it's really creepy. I suggest a new set with loose cushions that can be stored inside (at night and when not in use). The day bed is comfortable, but also whimsical. Please provide a throw for it. The bathroom lacks blinds, or something, to separate the outdoor shower from the bath area. In the evening you can see through from the outside. Liezl and her son were nice. However, I was almost attacked by a large dog (owner's son's) when we took an innocent walk inside the premises.
It is a peaceful place and the units are well equipped. We would have appreciated a little more information in the information booklet. Letting customers know the the management are locked behind 6 locks and customers need not to pick locks are a bit worrying. We would have appreciate a little more interaction for management - promoting their facilities, like the wine cellar and picknick idees. You know, show us the facilities. But above all it was a wonderful stay.

We were very hospitably received and treated during our stay. We always felt very safe and even during level 6 load shedding we had power all the time thanks to the large landscape generator. The unit is very luxuriously equipped and the jacuzzi was available all the time. We also enjoyed the picnic that the owners offer in the beautiful garden next to the pool. La Granja is very well located near many well-equipped attractions, e.g. near the Kruger National Park. We can really recommend the place.
It was just supposed to be a weekend away to celebrate my partner's birthday, but la Granja made it more than that. Picnic basket was the cherry on top thanx a lot to the la Granja team.
What a beautiful place. The chalet is a dream and so tasteful. There is everything you need. It's so nice and quiet there, you don't hear any traffic. The splash pool was also a hit. A little privacy at the pool would have been nice. We will go there again, it is the ideal getaway.

Very peaceful, quiet and beautiful surroundings. Wonderful and neat facilities in the quiet environment much enjoyed outside on the farm. Ordered a picnic basket, very tasty and would definitely recommend. Friendly and pleasant reception. Provision was made for load shedding and encountered no problems.

Our stay at La Granja was great from the moment we arrived, the long walk up to the units, through the Macadamia plantation, already lures you into the holiday atmosphere. The spacious and well equipped rooms were more than enough for our family. With 2 small children aged 4 and 6, Liezel planned early on to arrange bunk beds for them and that too at no additional cost to us. Arriving at the rooms, Liezel informed us of a cancellation of the luxury unit, but then simply let our family stay in it at no cost. The jacuzzi was a winner, the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. By the Saturday they had exchanged the water for us with fresh water, then we were all over again in the "coozie" as my young son calls it. The location of La Granja is central to White River which to our surprise has quite a Woolies Food and small shopping center which has everything you will need available. In addition, the Panorama route is easily accessible from the lodge and not too far from all the sights. No, if you want to explore the Lowveld, La Granja is the base from which to do so. Thank you very much Liezel for an unforgettable experience with you.
Friendly reception, fantastic people, fantastic place. I should have been here 26 years with our honeymoon, but the wedding anniversary made up for that. Lovely atmosphere and breathtakingly beautiful. Close to so much to do.
Staff are too friendly, but what I can say is that if you want to enjoy more come with a bakkie or higher SUV, because of the small distance from main road to guest house is a gravel.

Some nice animals on the property but would have liked a marked-out trail for walking/hiking to the dam etc. Otherwise, everything was great and had a very enjoyable 5 days at la Granja. A visit to Graskop Gorge Lift is well worthwhile and there are many nice restaurants in White River. Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre is great for a day's outing. Art galleries, museums, lots of interesting shops and good restaurants.

La Granja Game Farm meets these requirements 100% and is a fantastic place to stay for a single night or much longer. The facilities are excellent, the residential units are very spacious and the premises are spacious enough for young and old. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and did not hesitate at all to call if there were questions, and were helped immediately. We will definitely consider La Granja again for future trips and can highly recommend this little gem in White River.

Me and my husband just can't drive past La Granja when we are on our way to the Kruger National Park from the Cape. 2020 was our third time at La Granja and Annelize and her team outdid themselves again. Our room is very spacious with a king size bed and the best linen. We always enjoy the refreshing outdoor shower and the kitchen has everything you need. The units are very private and while our barbecue fire crackled, the jacuzzi was the perfect finish to a long day's travel. We have also become good friends with the lodge's woof with his good manners and how he makes us laugh. Too afraid to give La Granja five or even six stars because next time we might not get a place. Highly recommended!
Very pleasant place with facilities to book and rest for a few days. Our second visit to them. Braai area, Jacuzzi and swimming pool mean that there is always something to do, without doing "too much". Definitely worth the money. Picnic is a must. Basket is top notch.

This is the perfect lodge, it is green, neat, quiet and very peaceful. Their rooms have a 5 star package. The management trusted us, their guests, without popping in unannounced to check if we are being naughty. Sandra welcomed us like we were from a royal family. Great stay. The swimming pool was awesome, the hot tub and general service was great. Wasn’t a fan of the driveway to the main road, but it's not a huge problem.
We had an amazing time. Stunning location and facilities. Bed was a bit lumpy but other than that it was phenomenal.
Just wanted to mention that we had high hopes for cycling, but there are not routes that are suitable for all cyclists. There have been a lot of uphills and if you are not very fit for cycling then it can be quite annoying. Would suggest they maybe take it off their list of activities.

We stayed at La Granja Game Farm for 3 nights before going to the Wildlife Park. The accommodation is extremely neat and everything is carefully planned and maintained, to give each guest the best experience. We felt spoiled and will definitely visit again if the opportunity arises. Thanks to Maggie who came to clean so nicely every day and still allowed us to have peace of mind. The only disappointment was the amount of wildlife we were able to see over the 3 days. We had a much different expectation due to the name, but it was still very nice. Bravo to the owners!

My daughter and my wife stayed at La Granja Game Farm for a week. The peace and quiet was overwhelming and refreshing. I don't know how they manage it but you don't even hear the kids of the owner (Liezl) that stay in the house between the units! Beautiful gardens and mountains in the background, luxurious units, wonderful accommodation. The staff were kind and helpful. Double electric fence and access control so it felt very safe. The units are very comfortable with everything you need, including hair-dryers. Daily cleaning service and towels are changed. Central location if you want to explore nearby attractions such as Sabie, Hazyview, Sudwala cave, Kruger Park etc. We will definitely be back and recommend this place.

The buildings are beautifully newly decorated, with hugely romantic candle holders and lovely white linen that is washed regularly. Unit number 2 has a clawfoot tub and can be recommended for couples. Please bring your own groceries, as Witrivier's prices are extremely expensive.
La Granja Game Farm was the perfect place to end our honeymoon. We were looking for simple accommodation from where we could go out to take in nature and around the White River, Sabie and Graskop area. We were kindly greeted at the open plan cottage which took our breath away with a modern, neat, clean and incredibly well furnished cottage. We can hardly understand why anyone would want to stay anywhere else for the price class and would recommend la Granja Game Farm to anyone looking to stay in the white river area. We look forward to staying at la Granja Game Farm again in the future.

We stayed one night on the way to Sabi Sands. We were 8 and used 5 accommodation units. The rooms are fantastically beautiful and very well furnished. The visiting area is definitely recommended and is equipped with everything one would need. Recommend it and would happily stay there again myself.

Our family stayed at La Granja Farm for 4 nights. It was indeed a fantastic experience. The finish and furniture in the units are of high quality and are also very stylishly furnished. The towels and bedding are very good quality and very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The equipment and crockery are also much better than what you usually find in a self-catering unit. Decent long-stemmed wine glasses, a Bodum "plunger", clean toque pinch grill for the barbecue etc. However, I think it's the little extras that stood out to us the most. The units cater for 2 guests and there were 3 of us in one unit. Everything is provided for the extra person. You get a welcome chocolate for each guest. We have left many times and only realized the next morning that there was no milk for coffee. It doesn't bother here because there was a small fresh milk in every fridge. They even provided a pack of coal for the first night's barbecue. There was Peaceful Sleep in the units for the annoying mosquitoes. So I can go on for a long time. Definitely one of the best guesthouses we have ever been in and at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend La Granja to anyone. On the contrary it already did, but alas it was fully booked at the time they wanted to go so my friends were going to miss out on an incredible experience.

This is the ideal destination if you really want to do nothing and rest. We stayed here for a week and would have liked to stay longer at any time. The units are tastefully furnished and luxurious. You are woken up in the morning by birdsong in the massive trees in the garden. We could not feel the low field heat one day as the whole yard is under trees and it is absolutely cool. The lovely gardens also offer relaxation for the soul. The units are private and cleaned daily and the staff are very helpful. The area is very secure with electric gates and fences all around the premises. For the fishermen, there are two dams that ensure carp and black bass catches. The private Jacuzzis at the larger units offer further enjoyment in the warm evenings with a covered braai just a few steps away. We can recommend this place with confidence. Many thanks to Liezel for the unexpected, delicious Christmas dinner and her helpfulness, even helping with the luggage.

I would encourage anyone to support them too and enjoy a wonderful weekend getaway there... It's quiet, tidy, safe and also very private. My fiance and I really enjoyed it, the units are beautiful with modern decor and are very comfortable. We would love to book another nice long weekend there.
