There should be a whole lot more stars to rate this beautiful GH with. Attention to detail obviously is their top achievement, excellent service and top-end quality decor. They made us a delicious, delectable dinner with no issues. Will only ever stay here when traveling through Aliwal North.

This was meant to be just a stopover destination on our road trip, but boy, we're delighted with this find! The room was well appointed- stunning, in fact! The whole place has been beautifully done! We had our own private veranda. There was a pool which we could use which you don't see in the pictures, which we were grateful for because it was super hot! And for us, what is most important, is the bed was super comfy!
We stay there regularly and always get great service, my husband is recovering from a knee replacement and they went out of their way to make it as comfortable as possible for him.
The reception was friendly and professional. The room was comfortable, the underfloor heating a pleasant surprise on a cold autumn evening. The grounds were well maintained and picturesque.

I booked whilst still on the road to my destination. Made EFT from my phone. Received confirmation of my full payment, but on arrival, it had not been updated on the system. Choose a room with a queen-size bed (got double). Room was only ready for a single guest, not a couple. We were not advised of loadshedding times (being from a different province).
We were there for honeymoon, and although we informed them that it was our honeymoon, and arranged that they would make an effort to make the room (honeymoon suite) romantic, they did nothing. Additionally, the double shower's one shower head only dispensed cold water, although there was also a hot faucet. Don't feel I got value for money.
It was lovely to sleep over at La Riviera on the way back to Gauteng. The facilities are nice, clean and offer what is offered on the website. Thank you.

The welcoming roses, beautiful French furniture, and the view of the pond and ducks were food for the soul. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was that breakfast was not included.
We had a wonderful stay in the well-equipped rooms with a nice view of the ducks in the water. Did find the stairs to the rooms from the car park difficult with our bags. A porter would have been handy. We were elderly visitors.
Breakfast is excluded. This must be arranged in advance, but no mention is made of it.
The web page gives the impression that there is a cute kitchen that is part of the complex. The reality is it is operated by a third party. They close just after 4 in the afternoon and dinners are not an option except for ordering something in advance. The breakfast is also only available from 9:00.

What a loop court in the heart of nowhere. Extremely tasteful room decor and clean bedding, nice cuddly pillows, and a complementary glass of sherry to welcome you. Nice biscuit with coffee in the morning - thank you. The coffee shop served delicious breakfast and more coffee and there were beautiful gifts (especially the handbags!) for sale. Thank you for a wonderful sleepover experience.

La Riviera Guesthouse is highly recommended as a B&B. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and the outside area with the dam and ducks make for a very pleasant night cap. The breakfast was also of a very high standard. Highly recommended as a stop-over from Gauteng to the Eastern Cape.

We received a beautiful unit that is stylishly furnished with all the amenities you could need. The unit was very spacious, clean and practically laid out. The reservation does not include breakfast, but we went to have breakfast at the Stables the next morning. It is highly recommended with a very nice environment and good value for money breakfast.

After a long day's drive from Pretoria it was really a great surprise to arrive at the beautiful place and relax, the room looked exactly like the photos. The hostess was also very helpful and received us hospitably. Believe we also saw a bank rabbit on the lawn.
The guest house is absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to do the return to Gauteng here again. The rooms are beautiful. The view of the dam from our porch too beautiful. The service, staff and food are top notch. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Staying here is an absolute pleasure.

Two families stayed in the 6-sleeper house. Owner went out of her way organising a matrass and bedding for the additional child. Modern and tastefully furnished. Kitchen excellently equipped. Nice stoep with beautiful view. Had a nice braai the night and had breakfast at The Stables the next morning. Staff friendly and service excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Was a great experience with friendly service. Misunderstanding regarding breakfast reservation that had to be paid for. Expected for the price that the breakfast would be included. Wonderful setting with water and ducks. Breakfast was delicious.
There was a mistake with my booking - didn't get the correct room. Staff was really helpful and corrected it. Bath faucets in Room 5 doesn't work properly. Hot water has zero pressure. No cold water. But the spacious room, neatness, surrounds and staff made up for it.
Pathetic reception, we thought breakfast was included. At these rights you'd expect M-Net and other channels to be included. It is very neat though.
